Must Love Curves by Allie Faye (2)

DARIN

I’ve just gotten a taxi from the airport and instead of going home to get some much needed sleep, I go into the office. I guess you could say I am workaholic but it’s not even really that. I know Faith is there. Just thinking about what she might be wearing today has my dick straining against my jeans. The woman drives me wild, and she has no notion of how greatly I suffer. I don’t think Faith understands how truly sexy she is. She’s a damn vixen who stars in my every fantasy. Some days I have to keep my door shut and avoid her or I’d be jacking off all damned day. It wouldn’t be the first time. She has this red blouse that allows me the perfect view of her watermelon sized tits. Fuck me, this one day, every time I wandered past her desk to grab a coffee I could see scraps of black lace peeking out from under her skirt at the tops of her thighs. She was wearing thigh high panty hose. So damn sexy.

Eddie would have my head if he knew the filthy things I daydream of doing to his sister. He knows how I feel about Faith, that she’s the best woman I know. He has subtly been trying to push us together for a while, thinks it would be great to have his best friend as his brother, but if he knew the thoughts I had about her, he might think differently. Nothing he does though to try and play matchmaker works on Faith. I need to just stop being a pussy and go for it myself. Eddie gave up on setting us up when I told him it wasn’t going to happen. I guess a part of me was scared if things didn’t work out with Faith that I could lose my best bro. Eddie is my best buddy and business partner. I grew up living a few houses down the street from them.

I admit that I used to assume that Faith was only Eddie’s irritating little sister who wanted to follow us around everywhere. As we became older and Faith grew into a woman, I took serious notice of her. Sure, her body is unbelievable. All those curves…those fuck me heels she wears…those fucking tight skirts that hug her ass… Those aren’t the sole reasons I worship her. She is one of the finest women I have ever met in my life. You could say I fell deeply in love with her when their father was sick.

I watched her take care of him. She always placed him first. Him and Eddie. She put off going to college while Eddie and I were getting our business running. She set her wishes and desires aside for all of us, the men in her life. Then she was doing her own thing going to school and damn when I saw her for the first time after months of her being away she had evolved. She had certainly accepted who she was, and fuck was she owning her curves she used to shy away from. Gone was the young woman who wore baggy clothes. In her place was a confident woman who wore well-fitted clothing.

When she first began working for us here at Dreamsky I almost told Eddie to do something about the manner in which she dressed. How in the hell was I expected to concentrate while having her strutting around in those skirts? In the end however, I decided I didn’t want him to know I have the hots for his little sister, and I didn’t want to miss out the damn perfect view every day.

Eddie is standing by the coffee maker starting up a new pot.

“How’d it go?” He asks. I haven’t spoken with him since I scoped out the building in question.

“It was good.”

“Well, get settled back in and then we will have a meeting to discuss where we want to go from here.”

“Sounds good. Where’s Faith? I wanted to ask her how Beans did.”

“He shit in my office,” he says with a snarl.

I bite back my laughter and take that as my cue to check my email.

Sitting my travel bag down by the door I take out my keys. When I open the door the sight before takes my breath away. Faith is on my couch. Her head is thrown back and her eyes are closed. The black fabric of her skirt is pushed up to her waist. She’s wearing those stockings I love so damn much and her fingers are fucking her pussy. I’m half tempted to march over and finish the job for her, but when her eyes meet mine, I hear a man’s voice coming from her phone that happens to be pointed at the action.

Anger rushes through me. Jealousy.

“What’s going on, Faith?”

She makes up some bullshit excuse about a doctor like I’m an idiot. Has she forgotten who I am? Does she not realize I just heard part of their conversation? I know damn well what’s going on. I only want to hear her say it. Instead she storms past me and out the door to her car.

She isn’t walking away. There is so much I want to say to her. I grab her arm with every intention of saying screw it and crashing her mouth to mine but then I realize we aren’t alone when Eddie demands I unhand his sister. So, I play it safe for now but when I get her alone. It’s time we talked. The time has come to tell her how I really feel. The friendship we have be dammed. Friend or not I can’t hold back my feelings for her any longer.

——

When I get to the Michael’s family home Faith is still sitting in her car. Getting out of my car I walk up the to the driver’s side and tap on her window.

She smiles up at me, her cheeks flush ten shades of crimson when I see what’s on her screen. A photograph of a big dick cumming. I see red.

Turning away I bite my knuckle refusing to give into what I really want and kick the side of her car. Is she trying to make me crazy? Can’t she see that I am wild for her. The only reason I started working out with her at the gym was so I could make sure no one made a move on her. I wanted the message to be clear to every man there that she was with me whether she knows it or not. Not that I think she needs to go to the gym because to me she’s fucking perfect.

For years I have tried to move on. I thought if I fucked enough women maybe one of them would measure up to this idea I have of Faith in my head and right now she just shattered the illusion.

I guess I should have known she would eventually meet someone when I wasn’t looking but damn it sucks.

The moment I want to tell her how I feel she is seeing someone.

“Darin,” her voice calls out when hear her car door shut.

Letting out a deep breath I slowly turn around. Her lips are screwed into a perfectly kissable red pout. Her blonde hair is secure in a tight bun and I want nothing more than to pull it down and run my fingers through the strands while I taste that mouth.

I don’t do that though. I slip on my mask and say, “Sorry, I seem to have really bad timing today.”

“Look, I’m so sorry.” Her eyes close and she takes a breath. “I don’t know what came over me… I…”

Not wanting to hear more, I hold up a hand. “You’re a big girl, Faith. You don’t owe me any explanations. I just want to get my boy and head home. I’m exhausted.”

“Yeah…sure.” She gives me a strange look, but I don’t engage her in further conversation. I follow her in through the garage door that leads into the kitchen. I have walked through this door more than any other in my life. My parents were always working and when they were home they were fighting. Hanging out here was like my own personal sanctuary. The Michael’s house feels like home to me. My parents sold their house when I left for college and divorced within that same year. Jim and Tammy Michaels welcomed me into their home and made me feel as though I were a part of the family. It still feels strange coming into the kitchen and not seeing either of them here.

Tammy passed away when Eddie and I were in tenth grade. I remember the day so vividly. It was snowing, and the roads were being closed. We had already missed two days of school. Faith was sitting in this very kitchen at the table playing with the multi-colored mini marshmallows in her hot chocolate.

Eddie and I had just come in from fucking around with the neighborhood kids; having snowball fights and sledding. Anyway Mrs. Michaels—Tammy had worked a double at the hospital. She was a cardiac nurse. Jim had left hours ago to pick her up. In normal weather aside from the traffic, the commute could take an hour or so. I guess Eddie and I had lost track of the time.

I remember watching Faith stir the marshmallows and then the phone rang. I recall Eddie one of the toughest guys I knew cradling the phone to his chest, sinking to the floor, and sobbing. Faith didn’t move, it was if she somehow knew. There had been a terrible accident. A semi hit a patch of ice and lost control. It struck their car head on killing their mother instantly. Faith hasn’t spoke of her mother since she died.

As soon as I set foot inside Beans is running with his little nubbin of a tail wagging. I crouch down expecting him to come straight into my awaiting arms. The little traitor goes right for Faith.

“Well that’s fitting I guess.” Raking my hand over my head I let out a heavy sigh.

“What’s that supposed to mean?”  She questions as she refills his water bowl.

Chewing the inside of my jaw, trying to choose my words carefully, I know she will protest but this is happening, and she needs to agree.

“I was planning on telling you earlier at the office, but we’re expanding the business, and I’d appreciate it if you’d keep Beans for me when I’m gone.”

She doesn’t answer right away and turns her back to me to get a treat for my boy. “Oh, well that’s good isn’t it. Sure, he likes me better anyway. Don’t ya, boy?” She bends down, giving him his treat and my eyes follow, landing on her cleavage.

 “You don’t mind? It’s just normally…”

“I told you it’s fine. I’ll be spending time by your apartment anyway.”

“Why?”

Her cheeks redden again. “My…uh friend lives near you.”

“Does this friend live in the apartments?”

“Yeah.” She smiles and my stomach drops.

“Who is he?” I press and my jaw ticks when she doesn’t reply right away.

“He’s a photographer.” I watch as she kicks her shoes off and sits at the kitchen table to remove her stocking slowly. I lean against the counter to hide my dick tenting in my pants right now. “Beans!” Beans steals the first one and comes over to me with it hanging out of his mouth.

“Bad boy!” I tell him, and he lays down at Faith’s feet with a paw over his nose.

He’s mad at me because I have been gone. By the time we open this new office he won’t know me. He’ll be her dog and not mine.

“He keeps stealing stuff. This morning I caught him eating the crotch out of a pair of my panties.” She shakes her head.

I clear my throat and steer the conversation from her panties. “I’m not leaving for another week. I’ll keep him until then.”

“That’s fine.”

“Do you have plans for dinner? I know I told you I would treat you to a night out.”

“Actually, I’m feeling beat. Another time?”

“Yeah, sure. Well, I will leave you to it.”

“Later.” She waves with a yawn.

I gather up my dog and get him in the car wishing I had the balls to tell her I love her, but it seems like I’m too late. I guess it doesn’t matter, I’ll be in Colorado for months. No point in trying to start something when I won’t even be here. Besides she has her new man.
