She followed him out of the pool and took the towel he offered her. She didn’t know what the hell was going on with him but at least he’d checked her out when she climbed out. By the time she grabbed her clothes from where she left them Bre was more frustrated with herself than with him.

Collin didn’t bother putting his clothes back on, so Bre didn’t either. Instead he wrapped a towel around his waist and led her through a different exit that took them past a sauna before arriving at the entrance to his and hers locker rooms.

“There are showers in there,” he said, pointing to the women’s side. “There’s also a phone to contact the house staff. They can bring you an outfit or your luggage while you shower.”

“Okay,” was all she mumbled before leaving him standing there.

Bre bee lined into the locker room—anything to get her away from Collin Hayes. They’d been together nearly the entire day and, after that little exchange in the pool, she didn’t feel like being anywhere near him.

The locker room felt like it came straight out of a big national chain gym, like LA Fitness. Of course, those big gyms didn’t have a personal staff on call to service your every need. She wondered if they would go so far as to make sure that Collin had no hot water in his shower… That would certainly cool him off.

She was hesitant about using the staff line, at first, but she finally found the phone and made the call for her things. There were three showers housed in their own, personal stalls with closed-off doors, separate from the locker room. How often were there that many women using this facility at the same time? Bre was starting to get the sense that there may be some serious functions going down at the mansion for it to have this many accommodations.

Being in a place like this was completely unlike any life that she’d ever known while growing up. Never in a million years would she have imagined that she would ever be invited to stay at a mansion in the Hamptons. Hell, she was lucky enough to have made it out of Buffalo, in the first place.

She had no idea what in the world was going on with Collin. They were just supposed to be having some casual fun, but it was impossible to deny that there was something… extra… happening between them. Maybe if he would just fucking talk to her she’d be able to make sense of it, but he and his stupid fucking rules were making the situation even worse.

The water was hot, almost right away, and the pressure was incredible. It was exactly what Bre needed to help clear her head. The whole weekend had been a blast so far, but it felt like it was quickly unraveling. Maybe some space to breathe would help give her some perspective.

What in the world was going on with Collin? They were having such a fun time and now he was freaking out about nothing. Was it really that big of a deal to tell her that he used to play sports? Anybody who looked at him with his shirt off would guess as much.

Whatever. She could deal with it.

This was just another perfect example of why relationships were a terrible idea in the first place. She just hoped it wouldn’t ruin the rest of the weekend. Maybe she shouldn’t have been so quick to talk Aimee into staying after they found out about Logan’s fiancée…

But, God, the sex was good. Like, she was starting to wonder if Collin could get her off even faster than she could get herself off. That would be quite an unfair talent for a man to have.
