Snowed In: A Billionaire Winter Novella by Linnea May (37)

Derek

There are some men who think you should wait three days before calling a woman after she gave you her number. I’ve never been a fan of that rule and don’t see why you should make a pretty girl wait.

I let less than 24 hours pass before I call Ava and ask her out on a proper date.

“Advent Sundays seem to be our lucky day,” I tell her when we discuss a possible date. “So let’s say this upcoming Sunday?”

“Okay,” she agrees from the other side of the line. Even through the phone her coy and naturally submissive nature is palpable.

We’re going to have so much fun together.

“Where do you want to meet?” she asks shyly.

“Same place,” I say.

“The sauna?” she gasps in disbelief, causing me to chuckle.

“We can do that, too, sweetheart,” I tell her. “But I was thinking more along the lines of the same hotel, but at the restaurant this time. They have a great wine selection and exquisite menu.”

“Okay,” she says, sounding excited. “That sounds lovely.”

“And maybe I’ll get to show you one of the rooms afterward,” I say, just to tease her. She lets out a confused chuckle and I can practically see her beautiful face blushing.

The next five days drag along slower than any week ever has before. I’m not used to being this excited about a woman. It really has been a while, not since I’ve gotten laid, but since I’ve been this eager to make a woman mine.

Ava has this alluring sensuality, while still being the girl next door, completely unaware of the effect she has on me. She drives me wild. It’s her image that appears in front of my eyes every time I find release by way of my own hand, dreaming of her sexy curves, her big eyes, that beautiful, brown hair and how it will look when I’m done with her.

When the night has finally come and she approaches the table in a tight fitting red dress that emphasizes her juicy curves, I have to fight myself not to stare at her with a gaping mouth.

“You look exquisite tonight,” I tell her, as I get up to greet her with a kiss on the back of her hand.

“Thank you,” she whispers, her eyelashes fluttering nervously.

“Let’s start with some champagne,” I suggest. “To calm the nerves.”

The blush on her cheeks when I wink at her is so enticing that I want to bend her over the table right here.

All in its proper time.

We order our dinner and engage in innocent smalltalk. Ava talks a lot about her job, while I listen and enjoy watching her loosen up. She enjoys what she does for a living and it’s a delight to hear her talk about it. She manages to relax more and more around me, but every time she tries to ask me any questions about my job, I quickly divert the subject.

“It’s a lot more interesting to listen than to talk,” I excuse myself.

“Exactly,” she says, her cheeks now glowing because of the wine we’ve been enjoying during dinner. “And you’re depriving me of that joy.”

“When it comes to me, you’re not going to be missing out on anything,” I say. “Trust me.”

“I beg to differ,” she says. “You’re very interesting to me.”

She casts me a naughty smile that only lasts for a moment before she remembers her coy nature and averts her eyes.

“Adorable,” I comment, causing her to look at me with a confused expression.

“Yes, you are adorable,” I repeat. “Just look at you.”

She huffs. “You are quite a charmer, Mr. Cartwright.”

“Derek,” I say. “Call me Derek, for now.”

“For now?” she asks, raising one eyebrow. “Is there another name you’d like to be called later?”

I wink at her. “Possibly.”

She clears her throat and scans our environment as if she wants to check if we’ve been overheard by anyone close by.

“What… what name would that be?” she wants to know.

“It’s not a name,” I whisper, forcing her to lean in closer so she can hear me. “It’s a title.”

“A title?” she breathes, her ample bosom heaving with excitement.

“Sir,” I say in a low voice, and her eyes flicker. “I like to be called Sir once in a while.”

“Oh,” she whispers.

“Do you think you’d like that?” I want to know.

She inhales nervously. “What do you mean?”

“Do you like to be controlled, Ava?” I ask. “To submit to a man, surrender your free will to his to please him—and receive pleasure in return.”

“I-I-I’ve never done that before,” she stutters. “It sounds kind of scary.”

“Just scary? Or scary exciting?” I ask.

She smiles. “Scary exciting.”

“Do you want to try it out?” I want to know.

“Tonight?” she asks, and I nod.

“Yes, tonight, Ava,” I say. “Maybe even start right here, right now.”

Her eyes widen in shock. “What do you mean?”

“Sometimes, actions speak louder than words,” I tell her. “And sometimes, it’s easier to let actions speak instead of words, wouldn’t you agree?”

She nods silently, her eyes hanging onto my lips.

“I work with punishments, and rewards,” I continue. “And if you’re willing to do something for me right here, right now, you’ll get rewarded like a good girl.”

“What kind of reward?” she asks.

“Wouldn’t you want to know what you have to do first?” I wonder.

She bites her lower lip and nods.

“I want you to get on your knees, right here, next to the table, in front of me and for everybody else to see,” I whisper. “I want you to display your will to submit.”

She inhales audibly, shivering with excitement at my demand. Her eyes browse the room, searching for any potential onlookers. The restaurant is crowded, but of course most people are engaged in their own conversation, too busy to cast any attention our way. That might change if she actually does what I just told her to do.

Her gaze returns to me, and her expression changes. She nods with determination.

We don't lose eye contact even for a second when she finally stands up, fixing her dress, before she slowly goes down on her knees in front of me, placing that perfectly round ass on her heels and her hands on her thick thighs as she looks up at me. A few heads turn our way, but most people don’t notice the little goddess sitting in front of me, going a considerable length to show her submission to me.

The corner of my mouth rises and I reach my hand out to help her back on her feet.

“Good girl.”
