Sublime Vanity by Arden, Dana (14)

Chapter 21

Trigger

Breakfast was as to be expected when you have a two year old and six month old at the table. Food was thrown as the kids giggled and the adults tried to get them under control. Cyan, my nephew, was the show stopper when he got a hold of Greer’s coffee cup and swiped it off the table. Greer froze as Spook just shook his head at his son. I can guarantee that Moe’s and its patrons were glad to see us leave.

I relished in the drive home. The kids chatted and sung off tune along with Razz and her screeching rendition ofGrandma got run over by a reindeer. The beginnings of Jingle Bell Rock started but were cut short when we got further down our driveway to what looked like a Harley dealership. At least fifteen bikes as well as Dani’s Excursion and Lily’s car.

“Um, Trigger, were you expecting company.” Razz whispers.

“No, but I guess I should of realized something was up when my dad, mom, Greer and Spook followed us home too.”

“Don’t you think they should’ve let us know they were having a shindig at our place before they started to invade?”

“Razz,” I look at her scrunched up face, “you’ve been around the club long enough to know they don’t need a reason to party.”

“Sure, but I’d have liked to know that I was having so much company. I’ve got a shitload of stuff to do today. We’ve got to get a tree. I have to go shopping again since the presents are still probably sitting in a parking lot in Florida. I have to wrap those presents. Then there’s Christmas Eve dinner at the Clubhouse tomorrow.”

I interlock our hands and squeeze. “We’ll get it all done. Don’t fret.”

“Fine.” She huffs. “Let’s get this show on the road. The sooner we get in, the sooner everyone will leave.” She crosses her fingers and looks to the roof of the Tahoe as if praying for patience.

Once the kids are out of their seats, they are racing to the door. They bust through the door and Emerson screams. She shakes her head vigorously and covers her mouth. Razz takes off for the door and I follow trying to figure out what Emerson’s so excited about.

Rounding the corner of the foyer, I collide with Razz’s back as she comes to an abrupt stop. A fucking huge Frasier fir lite up like the tree in Times Square with teal, purple and silver balls is sitting against the window in the living room. My mouth drops and I’m speechless. Underneath, it is loaded with presents.

“What the fuck?” Razz mutters under her breath.

Dani, Greer, Lily and my mom stand beside the tree and yell surprise. Razz and I are still motionless. We’ve only been gone two hours max and they’ve managed to get a tree, decorate it and put an obscene amount of presents under it.

“Where the hell did y’all get these presents?” I bellow.

Razz looks sheepishly up at me and I shake my head. “If these came from Florida then they got them from the house as well as my shopping trip the day I was kidnapped.”

“Jesus, Razz. Did you buy all of ToysR’Us?” I ask teasingly.

She blushes. “I wanted them to have a big Christmas this year with everything that went on and I might’ve gone a little over board.”

“I’d say.” My dad says from behind us. “Poison and Banshee were winded just from carrying them in the Clubhouse so the girls could wrap them.”

I look around the room to see Poison and Banshee. I take a double take at him. His once dark hair now resembles a calico cat. It’s multicolored with brown, blonde, red and faded orange.

He glares at me and flips me off. I can’t help but laugh at his stupid ass. I yell one word across the room to him. “Lily!” That gets me a double finger salute. Poison smirks beside him and shrugs.

I bring my attention back to the tree to see that the women are missing and that includes my woman. Before I can go on the hunt, Ryker saddles up beside me and hands me a beer.

“It’s a little early to drinking don’tcha think.”

“Nope, I was up most of the night handing tape and wrapping paper to Dani instead of sinking deep inside her just so you’d have a Christmas tree with some presents under it.” He says gruffly.

Shrugging off the thought of him humping my cousin, I respond. “I’d say I was sorry, but that would be lying and since I’ve got kids that look up to me, I can’t.”

He chuckles. “So since you’ve got kids now, you think you’re all grown up.” I give him a chin lift. “Hmmm, we’ll see about that.”

“As stimulating as this conversation has been, I think I’ll go find my wife.” He chuckles as I head to the kitchen where the women are huddled over the island with their heads together. “What are y’all doing?” They jump and I know they’re up to no good.

Greer looks at me blankly. “Nothing. What are you doing?” She sasses.

“I came to check on Razz.” I crowd behind her and place by chin on her shoulder trying to see the piece of paper she’s semi-covering with her hand. “What’s that?” I whisper in her ear.

“Um, last minute Christmas presents. We’re going to go out later today and try to find them if they aren’t sold out.”

“Mmhmmm. Why do I get the feeling that you’re not telling me the God’s honest truth?”

“Well, you see,” she stammers, “I didn’t get gifts from Santa to set out so we thought since everyone was here and the kids would be plenty occupied, we could slip out for a few hours.”

“So,” I take in all the women, “all of you have presents to get.” Greer scowls while the rest of them nod. “And your solution is to leave a bunch of bikers with the kids.”

“Yes, jackass.” Greer snorts. “We aren’t exactly going to take them with us. The whole point of Santa gifts are that they are a surprise.”

“I understand, but what I don’t understand is why I can’t go along with your husbands. I mean it’s not hard to find a sitter around here.” I point to the living room.

Razz coughs, Greer and Ma glare, Dani shakes her head and Lily looks at her hands on the counter. They are up to something.

Razz presses her ass against my dick and purrs, “how are we supposed to get surprise Christmas lingerie for our husbands if they are with us? Shit, Trigger, you’re ruining yours and their,” she waves to the living room, “Christmas night lingerie nookie surprises.”

Well, fuck. She’s got me there. I step back from her and adjust my hardening cock. Not the time or place, buddy. “Alrighty then, y’all have fun and Razz,” I say over my shoulder as I exit the kitchen, “make sure it’s purple and crotchless.”

They don’t even wait for me to be through the entryway before I hear them scurry to get their purses and then the kitchen door slams shut.

I stride over to Ryker, Spook, Chase, Poison, Banshee, and my dad who seem to be having an intense conversation. Just one day of no heavy shit would be much appreciated.

“Hey, I thought y’all might want to know that we have babysitting duty as the women just jetted out the door to go shopping.”

My dad rotates his head to the tree with its abundance of gifts and sighs. “What the fuck else could they need that isn’t already under that damn tree?”

“Don’t ask me. They were very secretive and gave me some shit about Christmas lingerie, which I’m sure they’ll get now. The whole scene smelled fishy.”

“When it comes to Greer, there’s always an ulterior motive.” Spook grunts. “Then add in Dani and Razz, and there’s no telling what the fuck they are up to.”

Chase groans. “Shit, Lily conned me out of my credit card this morning. The presents under our tree are just as bad as that,” he motions his head to my tree, “and there’s no possible way we need more shit to be scattered around the house. I step on fucking Legos every day and Sienna’s babies are just as bad. Try sitting down in your favorite recliner after a long day and have a doll’s arm probe your ass. It’s not the relaxation I’m looking for.”

“I’ve got four kids and I’m proud to say that our tree doesn’t have quite as many,” Ryker adds, “less clean up and less shit to put away.”

Spook just shakes his head. “I don’t give a flying fuck what Greer buys for the kids as long as they’re happy. Money can be earned, but happiness can be easily taken away.”

We tap our beers together and I silently contemplate what the fuck else Razz needs for the kids that she doesn’t already have.
