The Zoran's Baby (Scifi Alien Romance) (Barbarian Brides) by Luna Hunter (8)

Dost

A Rude Awakening

My body heaves up and down with every breath I take. I’m gasping for air after the most intense fuck of my life, and Aria keeps kissing me, making it hard to breathe.

Slowly but surely, my cock loses some of its intense hardness, and I come down from the incredible, mind-blowing high I was on.

I blink a few times and focus on the incredible sight right in front of me. Aria’s naked, pale body is wrapped around mine, my cock still snug in her wet pussy, her white skin flushed red from excitement. She looks up at me with the biggest, most thankful smile I’ve ever seen.

“That was incredible,” she sighs blissfully, running a finger down my cheek.

Incredible, yes, it surely was… but also unbelievable.

What has come over me?

What have I done?

Mated with a human, that’s what I’ve done.

And it was glorious.

I’ve never felt so powerful, so great, so alive as the moment when Aria begged for my seed and I gave it to her, wave after wave after wave of it.

Now, I have broken every rule I have grown up with. Every rule my father has ever placed on me. Every rule the Exon Movement holds sacred.

Fuck them.

If they forbid this, then their rules are not worth following. This… this is my purpose in life. To mate, to love, to fuck, to fill.

Father sent me on this mission to find my purpose, but I don’t think this is what he had in mind

However, as the mind-blowing sexual high is slowly lifted, my doubts increase. Why did I suddenly lose all control? Is Aria in a right state of mind, or is she still shook up from the tree striking her?

Did I take advantage of the wounded, vulnerable human?

“Approaching HF Boomerang, general,” the pilot says over the intercom.

Ah, right.

I nearly forgot. Moments from now the doors will open and a medical team will be standing by, to fully inspect Aria’s health.

My crew finding me with my cock buried deep inside of her would surely be a breach of protocol.

I stand up, despite Aria’s pleas, and slip my armor back on. Next, I locate her bra and panties and hand them to her. The human, her cheeks still glowing as red as coals, refuses to get dressed.

It seems that whatever drove me to the edge of reason, whatever pushed me to ravage her like a wild animal is still going strong inside Aria.

“Come on,” she says, spreading her legs. “We’re not done yet.”

I avert my eyes, afraid that the sight of her pussy dripping with my seed will re-awaken the beast inside of me.

“First we must check your vitals,” I say, wrestling with her as I slide her panties on. “Then we will continue.”

Promise?”

My cock hardens at how easily the words roll of her tongue.

“Promise,” I growl.

I’m not sure if that’s a lie or not.

“Okay,” she pouts, and she finally lets me zip her uniform back up. Now I’m certain she must be infected by some kind of fever, for her behavior is far from characteristic.

Did I waste precious time, telling the pilot to go slow, while her very life could be in danger? Did I endanger her life by giving into my most basic instincts?

With my heart now racing I press the button for the shuttle doors to open. On the other side of the door several medics are awaiting us. I hope they can’t tell from our faces what we’ve been up to.

Not that I ought to care — I’m the general.

I can do whatever I want.

Still, it’s hard to shake the lifelong indoctrination I’ve endured at my father’s hands. I constantly feel like what I’ve done is somehow wrong. Sinful. Taboo.

Which, if I’m honest, only makes me want to do it more.

I lift Aria up and place her down on the medical bed they’ve prepared. To my horror, she seems to lose consciousness the moment she touches the soft bed.

“Hurry,” I bark at them.

The medics snap to attention, and wheel her towards the med bay as quickly as they can. I’m right behind them, taking long strides, my mind racing.

It’s got to be something in the air on Delta Y. Because of my Zoran constitution, it possibly affected me less, but Aria… she is a human. Their immune systems can endure a lot less than a Zorans.

If something is wrong with her, I’ll never forgive myself.

“What do you think, doc?” I ask Dr. Singh, an elderly human male and the ship’s doctor, the moment we enter the med bay.

“Terminal, I’m afraid,” he says.

When he sees my look — a mixture of confusion and irrational anger — he apologizes.

“Sorry, sorry general, doctor’s humor, you must forgive me.”

“I’ll forgive you when you heal her,” I growl.

I’m not in the mood for jokes, and certainly not any about the health of my mate!

My mate.

First time I’ve called anyone that… but it rings true.

The feeling she gives me is undeniable. Strange, confusing, uninvited… but also undeniable.

“I’ll see what I can do,” the doctor says.

Meanwhile, the medics are busy taking all of Aria’s vitals, monitoring her blood pressure, breathing and heart rate.

I can’t sit still. I pace at her side, wondering if I’ve made a terrible mistake.

“Excuse me general, but are you going to wait here the entire time?” Dr. Singh asks. “You’re making all of us nervous. Her vitals are fine. A bit of a fever perhaps, but nothing that will kill her if you stop pacing around like a madman. Please, give us the time to run some tests. I’ll call you the moment I have answers.”

I glower at the doctor. “How can you be so calm?! She’s unconscious!”

“She’s asleep,” the doctor answers. “Her body is tired, that is all, most likely. Please, let us work.”

Standing here and growling is not going to make my mate wake up any sooner. “Fine,” I growl, annoyed.

I pace down the hall, towards my personal quarters, and grab a bottle of kuhla, chugging it straight from the bottle.

My com beeps —but it’s only Trent. They’ve set up a perimeter, and haven’t encountered any more enemies. Good.

I sink into my chair, my mind swirling with emotions.

What a day.
