Travis (Boys of Brighton Book 6) by M. Tasia (6)

Chapter Six

The sound of birds chirping was the first thing Travis noticed as he slowly woke up. The second was the muscled body lying beside him. Deep snores broke the silence as he carefully shifted his weight onto his elbow so that he could look at the man he desired more than anything or anyone. Bo.

He looked so relaxed in sleep, younger than his thirty-one years. The smile lines in the corners of his full lips stood as testament to the happiness Bo embraced. His broad shoulders and strong arms, one wrapped around Travis’s waist, the other over Bo’s head, made Travis feel so safe. Lightly he rubbed his fingers across Bo’s wide chest, amazed at how soft his skin was compared to his hard body.

“Like what you see?” Bo’s sleep-filled voice sounded husky. That combined with the gorgeous body he was touching had a definite effect on Travis, and he was getting hard.

“Yes, you have a beautiful body.”

“I’m glad you like it because it’s all yours to explore.” Bo smiled before reaching over and pulling Travis closer so that they were now face to face. He could feel Bo’s erection pushing into his stomach. Bo was large everywhere. But he didn’t make a move, didn’t try for more, allowing Travis to just lie there. He weighed his options: he could do nothing and remain in a sort of stasis, never going forward, never really living, or he could take a chance.

Bo lifted his head off the bed and Travis made his choice. Their lips met. Their kiss started out slow and relaxed but soon turned into something much more heated. Bo’s tongue explored Travis’s mouth thoroughly before he moved on to trail kisses down Travis’s chin and neck. Teasing little nibbles had Travis flexing his hips into Bo’s thigh, desperate for some friction.

“Are you sure about this?”

“This is the first thing I’ve been sure about in a long time. I want to explore and experience life with you.”

“Anything you want.” Bo’s deep voice spurred Travis on.

Bo’s lips continued down until he reached the spot where Travis’s shoulder met his neck and began sucking deeply. He was going to leave a mark and Travis was completely on board with that. Travis could feel each pull down to his throbbing cock.

“Can I touch you, Travis?” Bo asked after releasing his neck.

Travis refused to let his fear win out, not this time. “God, yes.”

Bo’s big hand slid between their bodies and into Travis’s pants. It was a good thing they were loose and allowed Bo to move around easily. Without stopping Bo wrapped his hand around Travis’s cock and began pumping. Travis had a moment’s trepidation then their eyes locked on one another as Travis experienced the pleasure of the first touch. Sure, he’d jerked himself off but that was before the burns turned him into this freak. The word crashed into him like a wave and he immediately pulled away.

Bo released his cock but not Travis’s body, which he held gently. “What is it? Do you want us to stop?”

Travis thought about it—did he really want Bo to stop? No. Bo wasn’t doing anything Travis didn’t want. This was his issue and he needed to start facing it.

“I don’t want you to stop. It’s just an old memory I’m working on excising from my life. But I was thinking we could slow down a bit?”

“Anything you need, babe, you tell me. That way I won’t accidentally do something you don’t like or that’s painful.” Bo stopped as if afraid to say any more.

“What is it?”

“I wanted to ask if it hurt anywhere when I touched you. I don’t want to cause you pain.”

“My back and legs are healed but there’s a bit of nerve damage that causes me pain occasionally. Um…and my dick is also healed. In fact, the other day with you was the first time I’ve had a hard-on since the fire burned me. I didn’t think it was possible. It had been so long.” Travis spread his legs wide before saying, “Please touch me.”

Bo took his lips in a desperate kiss before sliding his hand back into Travis’s pants and taking hold of his cock. Travis couldn’t hold back the moan that escaped his lips as he leaned his forehead against Bo’s chest and closed his eyes. Pleasure shot through his body, taking his breath away as he dug his fingers into Bo’s shoulders.

Travis felt Bo’s hard cock and desperately wanted to touch him and give Bo as much pleasure as he was receiving. But he was laying on top of Bo. He’d never get his hand between them from the top especially with Bo’s hand already between them.

“Bo, please I need to touch you.”

Bo pushed Travis’s body into a sitting position so he was now straddling Bo’s body with his cock jutting out in front of him and engulfed in Bo’s hand. He had no time to feel embarrassed about his scars being seen as Bo reached down with his free hand, pulled the elastic hem of his sleep pants down, and exposed himself to Travis who was quick to take hold of Bo’s thick cock. Any doubts quickly dissolved and were replaced by the overwhelming feeling of power and freedom. Travis pumped his hand in time with Bo’s. They still hadn’t looked away from one another and Travis began to moan softly as Bo increased the speed of his hand and asked. “Do you trust me?”

“Yes.”

Bo slowly slid his hand to Travis’s hip while he continued stroking him. Bo’s hand didn’t stop at his hip, it continued on around to Travis’s ass cheek. Travis began to pull away. He knew the burns were horrific and they felt bumpy and patchy; it took a lot for him to have already exposed himself this much.

“Trust me, Travis. I would never hurt you,” Bo whispered.

It was true. Travis felt safe and desired in Bo’s arms. He looked deep into Bo’s eyes and saw love shining back. Love—when did that happen? Sure, he had feelings for Bo, strong feelings. Is that love? Travis had to admit he’d been falling for the big guy for a while now.

Travis’s hand slid over the soft skin of Bo’s rigid cock before he nodded his head and said, “I trust you.” Bo slowly slid his hand a little further until his entire cheek was covered. Bo squeezed Travis’s ass while he continued to work his cock. Travis knew he was going to come soon and when he felt Bo’s fingers circling his hole there was nothing he could do to stop it. With a final jerk of his hips Travis cried out and came all over Bo’s stomach. Moments later Bo moaned deeply as warm cum covered Travis’s hand.

Travis collapsed down onto Bo’s chest, gasping for breath as Bo reached his arm around Travis and held him close. Both took their time coming down. Travis rested his head on Bo’s chest and his eyes grew heavy. He decided to close them for just a minute.

Travis opened his eyes to find himself alone in the bed. He must have fallen asleep. He reached down, expecting a dried mess to be covering him, but there was nothing but clean skin. Even his hand had been cleaned. Bo must have cleaned me up. But where was his boyfriend?

The smell of bacon came drifting into the room and Travis’s mouth began to water. He loved bacon. He rolled over onto his back and stretched his body before sitting up. He could hear pots clanging in the kitchen and suddenly remembered Bo couldn’t cook. Travis jumped out of bed and hurried to the kitchen to save breakfast.

When he got there, smoke was pouring out of the toaster and what looked like every pan in the house covered the counters. The fire alarm started to sound and Bo ran over to wave a tea towel below it to stop the screeching. In a flash Travis was dragged back in time, smoke surrounding him, choking every breath he took. His body was charred black and he was screaming in pain but all he could hear was the thunderous roar of the fire.

“Travis. Travis, look at me. Please come back to me. You’re safe.” Bo commanded until eventually Travis started hearing the words coming through the fog of his mind. “There you are.”

Travis looked around him, trying to figure out where he was. The walls weren’t glowing with the light from the flames and his world hadn’t just been ripped from him. Bo was standing in front of him, worry written all over his face. Travis realized he’d must have had a flashback. He hadn’t had one of those in years. It made him angry that something as simple as the toaster and smoke alarm could do that to him. He didn’t want to talk about it so he chose to carry on as if the last few minutes never happened.

“Looks like breakfast is another meal you can’t cook,” Travis mumbled before hugging Bo tight and taking a deep breath. Travis pulled back and looked at the man he was falling in love with and couldn’t think of a single reason why he shouldn’t.

“We’re a team. We can make breakfast together.” Bo smiled wide. It seemed as though he was taking Travis’s lead and not talking about what happened. For the next hour Travis instructed Bo on how to make the perfect omelet and how to turn down the temperature on his toaster. In the end they had ham and cheese omelets with home fries, bacon, and toast. The extra pots and pans Bo had pulled out were back where they belonged. Travis took the last bite of his omelet and thought about his next question carefully. He was afraid of the answer considering what happened to him this morning.

“Did I have a nightmare last night?”

“You became agitated once but I rubbed your back and you stayed asleep. It didn’t take long,” Bo explained.

“Thank you, and I’m sorry I woke you.”

“That was nothing to be sorry about. I would gladly take having you in my bed with your nightmares then not having you at all,” Bo explained. “And that brings me to my next topic. I want to make these sleepovers a regular occurrence, maybe a couple times a week. What do you think?”

Travis knew that would only bring him closer to Bo and solidify his place in Travis’s life. Did he really want to remain alone? Did he want to push Bo away? Hell no. “I’d like that.”

“Thank god. If you’d said no I was going to suggest your place but I couldn’t picture both of us trying to fit into your bed.” Bo looked relieved.

“Yeah, I can’t see that working out so well.” Travis laughed. He was so happy that neither one of them felt strange about what they’d shared that morning. Bo was behaving as he would any other day, and that made all of Travis’s nerves melt away.

He felt his cheeks getting warm as he thought about it. He stood, collected the plates, and turned toward the kitchen, hoping Bo hadn’t seen the effect that one thought had on him. He should have known better.

“Why are you blushing?” Bo asked as he came up behind Travis.

“I was thinking about earlier this morning, in bed.”

“About this morning? Good, because I can’t get it out of my head either. I loved every minute, from waking with you in my arms to getting you off,” Bo rasped as he held Travis. “How about you? Did you enjoy our time together?”

“Oh, yeah,” Travis rushed out as though he’d been holding his breath.

“Good, because I intend for it to happen again and again.”

Travis was all for that plan, just as long as he didn’t have to expose more of his body yet.

He wasn’t ready for that.
