The Dragon's Secret (The Dragon Warlords Book 1) by Megan Michaels (6)

The next morning Satin woke up before the sun, watching her new husband sleep. His broad bare back was facing her, and his red tail draping over his backside, coming to rest on the mattress beside him. She fought the urge to touch it. It wasn’t much wider than her thumb and probably only came to his knees.

Remembering the prongs that had kept him imprisoned within her, she squirmed. The burning ache not painful but exacerbated her post-orgasmic sensitivity. She imagined pushing his tail inside her channel.

Would he wake up if I masturbated with it?

As if the tentacle sensed her excitement and musings, it wagged lightly…like a happy puppy. She decided that if she didn’t get up now, she’d end up humping his tail and wasn’t sure if that would be a good way to wake him up or that it would be the smartest move considering her backside was still sore from yesterday.

Scraping her bottom along the sheets, Satin gasped at the soreness still present in her backside, and slid out of bed, placing the covers neatly over her area. She slipped into her wedding robe which was still draped over a chair, wondering how and when she’d get some everyday clothes. She left in such haste that she had forgotten to pack clothes.

She sat on the window seat, watching the dragons slog their way out of the barn, the sun just rising on the horizon. The fog billowed around their large bodies, and they lazily ate some of the dew covered greenery. The workers and trainers walked amongst them dropping bales of what looked like hay for them to eat. The men would casually pat the dragon’s long neck affectionately, and they would speak to them while they filled their water and food bins. She wondered what it would feel like to walk between these large animals, talking with them, showing them kindness.

Satin felt excited at the prospect of meeting these beasts and hopefully bonding with them, touching and feeding them as well someday. She wondered if her husband would be willing to introduce her to them soon or if she would have to wait a long time.

Will I have to take classes or read books on them before I can meet them? I wonder if the dragons like strangers or if they burn them with their fire.

Opening the latch, she dangled her feet out the window, enjoying the cool morning air. Drayce’s light rhythmic snore behind her added to her sleepiness, not quite awake yet. She casually watched them walk together, stopping to chew on hay or greenery.

The sun rose in the distance leaving a golden hue over the beasts, the color reflecting off the shiny scales, the shimmering skin reflecting the light. She wished she had a canvas and paints, to capture the beauty of the scene unfolding before her.

She marveled at the beauty that the citizens of Trexotera took for granted. Like most citizens of a planet one would grow accustomed to the scenery and animal, forgetting that others don’t get to enjoy this in their daily lives.

Her breath caught in her throat when she realized that the animals were plodding toward her, their heads tilted as if curious, she assumed they wondered who this new person was at the Quinn household.

Their heads towered above her, and they bent their long necks to sniff her.

Can they smell Drayce on me?

The bright blue dragon, his scales shimmering in the sunshine, nudged forward breathing heavily on Satin, the dragon’s humid breath making her face damp. The placid beast raised his head, staring so intently, that Satin felt her skin prickle on her back, hoping he wouldn’t decide to burn her to ashes.

Then with a timid squeak, Satin jumped when the blue dragon licked the side of her face and licked her shoulder as well. She leaned back giggling.

He kissed me!

Reaching her hand out, Satin almost touched the animal’s nose, when the wind was knocked out of her lungs, and she flipped through the air, landing on her feet, dizzy and confused.

Drayce shouted out the window, waving his arms. “Go. Go eat! Zayvoc bring the dragons back to their locked pen, they were at our window.”

“Yes, Sir.” The man’s voice carried through the window, and the ground shook as the dragons trotted quickly away.

Drayce slammed the window shut, glaring at her, his dark hair swaying behind him, and he breathed heavily through his nose. He stormed over to his pants from the day before, pulling out a thin rod, about a foot and a half long, with a leather strip at the bottom.

Instinctively Satin covered her ass, a dull ache still present from the punishments the day before and seeing him with the implement, her body shook in fear. Extending her arm and shaking hand, she pleaded. “No. No, please. Drayce, please. What is that?”

He stopped in his tracks, and with a deep breath, he enveloped her in a hug, squeezing her tightly. He smelled of sex and guy, the scent stirring her loins. Tilting her chin up he said, “Do you know that Scarlett or Azure could have killed you – any of them could have killed you?”

“Is Scarlett the red dragon?”

Drayce nodded solemnly.

“And Azure is the blue one?”

He nodded again.

“They sniffed me; I think they could smell your scent on me. Azure even licked me. He kissed me, Drayce.”

“He licked you? Where?”

“The right side of my face and my shoulder.” Satin showed him both areas.

He looked at the regions, inspecting the skin carefully, twisting her to see clearer in the light of day.

“What are you looking for? Am I going to get sick?”

“No, you won’t get sick, but you will be getting a good ass whipping.” He slapped the stick on his calf.

“Wh-what is that?” She bit her lip, pointing at the black stick, asking again.

“It’s the dragon quirt that my father mentioned yesterday. It’s reserved for serious punishments—for dragons and women. And you, my dear, deserve the dragon quirt today. You will not touch or go near the dragons unattended again, ever again. I know you didn’t mean to disobey, but this is a lesson best learned with severe discipline. It is your very life that is at stake.” Pointing with the quirt, he said, “Take your robe off, you’ll be naked for this one.”

Satin shook her head and walked backward, hoping she’d find a place of refuge in this unfamiliar room and house. She desperately needed a place to hide.

Glancing over her shoulder, she frantically scoured the room, hoping to find an alcove or closet, anything that would keep this Drayce away from her.

It was then that he grabbed hold of her wrist, yanking her forward. “Wrong answer. You don’t tell me no. The answer is yes, Sir. Take. Your. Robe. Off.”

She tossed it off her shoulders, letting it float to the floor and stood before him completely naked, her belly and legs trembling, and she started sobbing without even her first stroke.

“Bend over the edge of the bed. Keep your hands under your chest.”

With her wobbly knees, Satin stumbled over to the bed, the velvet bedspread cool under her hips and she clutched the material tightly in her fists readying herself for a severe chastisement. She would have never guessed that she would suffer from so many spankings in her first twenty-four hours.

Once she stilled, waiting with bated breath for him to commence, the quirt splatted against her flesh, and she screeched in pain. The sting went into the muscle, but she swore it must have cut open her skin. She reached back to rub, feeling small welts from the edge, but looking at her hands, there was no evidence of blood

“There is no blood, girl. I’ll not break your skin. But you will learn to stay away from the dragons.”

“Yes, Sir.”

The lash of the quirt slapped against her buttocks four times in a row, and Satin danced up on her toes, jiggling her bottom.

“You will only see the dragons with my permission and accompanied by me and only me. Is that clear?”

“Y-yes, Sir. Oh, please…can we stop now?” She looked over her shoulders, her eyes filled with tears blurring him in her sight, hoping he’d succumb to her pleas for mercy.

“Not quite yet.” The quirt whistled through the air before landing four more times at the juncture of her ass and thighs.

Satin broke on those, and fell into pitiful sobs, her tears drenching the sheets. “I’m sorry. I didn’t know. Didn’t know.”

The dragon whip clattered to the floor, and Drayce pulled her to sit on his lap. “I know you didn’t know. But you had to learn; I can’t lose you. I’ve just found my partner. I can’t and refuse to lose you to my dragons.”

“I won’t do it again. Ev-ver.”

He kissed her face, smiling down at her. “I believe you. I’m sorry your bottom is so sore. Maybe we’ll just stay in bed and have trays of food brought up to us. We are newlyweds after all.”
