Epilogue
Aries pinned Nina’s arms above her head as he slammed into her. “Mine,” he growled. “Don’t you ever think about leaving me again,” he commanded.
“Aries,” moaned as the thrill of his possession sent a burst of pleasure shooting through her body. She desperately wanted to touch him but every time she tried to break free of the tight hold he had on her wrists, he held her tighter.
“Say you’ll never leave me again,” he growled.
“I won’t leave you again.”
“Promise me.”
“I promise.”
He thrust into her pussy harder than before, making Nina feel it to the depths of her core. “And that’s a promise, I’ll see you keep.”

Nina enjoyed the weight of him pressing her into the bed. Absently, she stroked his back which was damp with sweat. She could feel his skin heal beneath her fingertips where she’d scratched him.
Nina enjoyed the comfortable silence as she lay in his arms. Though she had no plans on leaving, Nina couldn’t help but be uncertain about their future.
Aries was the first to break the silence. “I can feel your anxiety.”
“I wouldn’t call it anxiety, more like concerns.”
Aries kissed her on the shoulder. “Tell me about it and I’ll try to allay them.”
“This darkness is still inside of me. I’m scared that I’ll hurt someone or kill them. Worst yet, what if something happened to you. When I lost my Micco, I wanted to die. I actually felt like I had died. But then you came along. And you healed me. You made me whole again. But if you died and I was the cause, there’d be no recovery from that.”
Aries raised himself up enough to look her in the eyes. He cupped her face in his hands. “I vow to fight for you every step of the way. But I need you to fight as well. I need you to be the strong she-wolf who survived in the face of adversity. What you went through would have literally killed a lesser wolf. But we you won’t be alone. We have each other. And we’re going to win. Gage is going to pay for what he’s done.”
Nina shuddered at the thought of Gage. That man was pure evil. She had seen him perpetuate so much harm in the name becoming all powerful that Nina wasn’t sure what could possibly take him down. Just when his enemies thought they had him, Gage found a way to escape and come back stronger and more malevolent.
“I hope so. But in the meantime, what are we going to do? I can’t expect you to stay here like this with me, cut off from everyone. You have pack duties to fulfill. I can’t stand in the way of that. I know how important they are to you.”
Aries pressed his lips against hers. ‘You’re the most important thing to me. I need you to get that through your head. Besides, my uncle is on the cusp of finding Anisa. She can heal you.”
“But what if he doesn’t? What if Gage finds her first.”
“I have complete faith in my uncle. Besides, he’s not alone. He’s has a handful of the best fighters in our pack with him. He also has his best friend along with him, a very powerful vampire. I’m sure Dante has brought along his agents. I can assure none of those men will go down without a fight.”
“You sound so sure.”
“Because I am. In the meantime, there may be other solutions. Sarah was able to heal you temporarily. Perhaps she can do it again. At least until Anisa is found.”
“That may work,” she said with uncertainty. “But until then, I will fight this.”
“We’ll fight together.”
She caressed his handsome face. “Thank you, Aries,” she whispered.
“For what?”
“For saving me from the darkness.”
He shook his head. “No. You saved me. Before I found you, I didn’t believe I deserved happiness but because of you, I allowed myself to shed the burdens of the past. I didn’t save you from the darkness. You brought me to the light.”
Nina’s heart felt as if it would burst with love for this man. Though their future was uncertain with the threat of Gage still looming over them, she was certain she could face any battle with Aries by her side. Because in his love she’d found redemption.
