Ace: The Brimstone Kings MC by J.J. Marstead (23)

Epilogue

Alison is squeezing the hell out of my hand.  The doctor tells her to give one more big push. Alison pushes as hard as she can and screams, two seconds later we hear a cry. Alison has tears in her eyes as she leans her head against the pillow, sighing. Man she’s amazing.

“Well congratulations Mom and Dad you have a baby girl.” Max says as he lies the baby down on Alison’s chest. I wasn’t too sure about Max delivering the baby at first. I didn’t want him to see Alison, but now I’m glad that it was him. Max asks if I would like to cut the cord. I nod my head because I’m sure if I tried to speak nothing would come out.

“She’s beautiful, Ace.” Alison whispers in awe as she stares at our daughter.

“She’s perfect.” I lean down and kiss Alison’s forehead.

The nurse comes and takes our baby girl, I start to panic is something wrong with her? “Where are you taking the baby?” I ask warily as I stare at the nurse that is now holding my newborn daughter in her arms.

“I’m just taking her over there to look for over and clean her up, no need to worry.” She brings my daughter to a closed in table, places her in and starts cleaning her off. I hear her tiny cries as the nurse cleans her up. Fuck is she hurting her?

Alison grabs my hand squeezing it, I look down at Alison. She has the sweetest smile covering her face. “Ace, she’s not hurting the baby,” She says, as if she could read my thoughts.

A few minutes later the nurse brings our daughter over to us all washed up. She lays her on Alison again, as the doctor gives Alison two stitches. Our baby girl is eight pounds ten ounces.

The nurse stands there with a pen and a chart. “Have you guys come up with a name?” She asks as she looks up at us from the chart.

Alison smiles as she looks down at our daughter once more before telling the nurse. “Geri-Ann Hawke,” She says softly as she puts her finger in our daughter’s little hand.

“That’s a lovely name,” The nurse writes it down.

“I will be back in a little bit to check you on three,” She turns and leaves the room. The doctor stands up.

“Congratulations Ace, Alison you did a great job. She’s beautiful,” Max mentions.

“You’re all stitched up Alison. You will be tender for a few days, and remember no sex for six weeks,” He adds as he wheels the gurney out of the room.

“Ace, she’s the most precious thing I have ever seen. We did this. We made her,” She exclaims as the tears run down her cheeks. Seeing my wife hold our daughter, I feel my chest get heavier, this right here is the best thing that could have ever happened to me. Alison looks up at me and gives a crooked smile.

“Would you like to hold your daughter, Dad?” She asks. I pray I don’t end up dropping her. What kind of father would I be to drop my own daughter?

She hands Geri-Ann to me. As she gently places her in my arms, her eyes open a little and she stares at me. It’s as if she’s staring at my very soul. My eyes begin to water as I look down at my beautiful daughter.

“I’ll love you forever, Princess. Daddy will always be there to protect you and your mother,” I say as I sit down on the rocking chair beside the bed, rocking her back and forth as she closes her tiny little eyes. I swear she’s smiling at me as I touch her little face.

Ten years later….

I’m sitting on our back porch looking out in the backyard, I feel at ease. Ace is out in the yard playing with the kids. Yes you read right, Geri-Ann got a loving brother two years later.

Ace was so happy when he found out it was a boy. He’s been worrying so much about when the time comes, Geri-Ann will have boy’s snooping around her. At least now she has a brother who can watch out for her as well. Geri’s birthday is this weekend coming up; she turns ten. She reminds me so much of Ace, but she looks like a ‘mini’ version of me.

Ace has mentioned a couple of times how to keep the boy’s away. Bring them to the clubhouse and sit them down with all the guys around, give him a talk try to the shit out of them. I don’t think that’s the right thing to do but talking to Ace is like talking to the wall, when it comes to his daughter.

I remember the first time I held Geri-Ann and Brandon after they were born; it was like my prayers have been answered. They’re both the best things that could have ever happen to me. Well besides meeting their father of course. The love I feel for my children… I would die for them.

Brandon was even bigger than Geri-Ann was when she was born; he was ten pounds five ounces. He was too big for me to delivery naturally. I had to have a C-section with him. Brandon is a spitting image of his father; I’m sure the girls are just going to flock to him when he’s older, much older… I can’t even imagine my baby boy having girls chasing him around.

My head snaps up as I feel someone staring at me. I see Ace walking my way with a huge smile. I was just about to warn him that the two little monsters are going to tackle him, but the words die in my throat as Ace falls down on the ground with both kids on top of him, laughing as the have him pinned.

I giggle loudly as I see Ace trying to get them off, but there’s no use, they have the upper hand. Ace starts to tickle Geri-Ann. She jumps up and squeals as she runs away, he then grabs Brandon and tickles his sides as he giggles.

“Daddy, No, Stop. It tickles,” Brandon shouts out as he tries to break free from Ace’s hold. Finally getting away from his father he runs after his sister.

Ace chuckles as he makes his way up the steps, placing a sweet kiss to my lips. He sits down beside me holding my hand.

“Are you happy Peaches?” He asks as he rubs the top of my hand with his thumb. I turn and stare at the man who stole my heart the minute he kissed me in the bathroom at the clubhouse eleven years ago. He still makes my heart beat faster.

“Yes I couldn’t be happier.” I say as I look out at the kids turning back to Ace, he gives a smirk.

“Kids, I think your mother needs to be tickled, she feels left out,” He shouts out and my eyes widen.

“You wouldn’t dare.” I say as stand up, he laughs.

“Better run Peaches.” He mentions as he snickers.

I take off of the porch screaming as Geri-Ann and Brandon start chasing me. Ace joins in, chasing after me. Tackling me to the ground as they all come over, tickling me to the point where I’m in tears from laughing so much. Now this is the life, I feel so loved. I wouldn’t give this feeling up for anything in the world.

The End…
