Going Rogue by Kass Barrow (22)

Consummation

“Come on, hurry!” Ray says excitedly, grabbing my hand as we skip down the steps of the Queensway Tube station. “The train has just pulled in.”

My heart thuds as we hustle through the crowds, Ray dragging me along, getting me caught up in his infectious enthusiasm.

“Where are we going at this time of night? I’m not dressed for clubbing.”

“Not going clubbing,” he shouts over his shoulder.

We jump onto the packed train just as the alarm beeps, announcing the doors are about to close. It’s late on a warm autumn evening and everyone’s out in their party gear, except me and Ray. We left the apartment in scruffy jeans and t-shirts. Ray’s wearing a baggy sweater of mine and I grabbed my faux-leather jacket as Ray dragged me out the door.

“Does this have anything to do with the phone call?” I ask.

“From Ollie, you mean?”

“What other phone call have I had today?”

He smirks at me. “Might have.”

It has been a little over two weeks since I delivered the specimen pot to my sister and, just after lunch today, I received the phone call we’d been waiting for. Ollie is pregnant at the first time of asking. Although it was what we expected, Ray and I were still jubilant at hearing the good news, not least because it means Ray doesn’t have to sleep on the sofa anymore. We haven’t slept together yet because Ray said it wouldn’t feel right until we had the official confirmation in. Ray’s very assiduous like that. I suppose I can’t blame him, considering what’s at stake.

“So, are you going to tell me where we’re going or not?”

“Not,” he replies. “It’s a mystery tour.”

“A mystery tour?”

He gives me a firm stare. “Wait and see.”

A few stops later, as we’re approaching Tottenham Court Road, he nudges me. “We’re changing here.” We alight and Ray grabs my hand and leads me to the Northern Line platform where we wait for an Edgware train.

“Where the hell are you taking me?”

“Haven’t you guessed yet?”

“Nope.”

We hop on the Edgware train and grab a pair of adjoining vacant seats. A few stops later I’m starting to get a tingle of excited anticipation in my gut. The recorded announcement informs passengers that the next stop is Hampstead and Ray nudges me to get ready to disembark.

There’s only one reason gay guys go up to the Heath at this time of night. It’s London’s best known cruising spot. My palms turn sweaty as I recall Ray telling me of his fascination with “the cultural phenomenon known as outdoor sex.”

“Shouldn’t we get off at Golders Green?” I suggest tentatively, recalling that West Heath is the actual cruising area. Not that I’ve ever been myself, but a couple of lads I used to know liked to regale me with their clandestine adventures up on the Heath. You can get to West Heath from Hampstead station too, but Hampstead has the deepest lift shaft on the entire Underground network and I’m not a fan of its elevators.

“No, this station will do fine,” Ray says, moving towards the door, ready to disembark.

When we finally re-emerge at street level I inhale the warm westerly breeze, glad to be back on terra firma. Beneath the moonlit skies, we set off up a side street towards the Heath, but instead of heading off west, we begin the slow climb east, towards Parliament Hill. I say nothing, content to enjoy an evening stroll with Ray holding my hand.

As we approach the summit we pass a man with a dog, but by the time we take a seat on one of the benches at the viewpoint, we find ourselves completely alone. The city looks awesome at this time of night, sprawled out beneath our feet, lit up with millions of pinpricks of light, like a candlelit vigil at a gay pride festival.

Ray twists to face me, still holding my hand. “I wanted to bring you up here to complete the circle. Remember the last time you came up here?”

I hang my head, as I recall the state I was in that day. Ray had been gone for two months and I was at the end of my wits. I came up here and sat on this very same bench, drowning in a thunderstorm, as I ranted and raved at the heavens.

“You asked me to come back to you, do you remember?”

“Yes,” I say, lifting my head to smile at him. “And you did.”

“I saw how much you suffered and it tore me up inside. That was the day I found the courage to deny myself immortality so I could be with you. It was the best decision I ever made.”

“What took you so long?” I joke.

He laughs and releases my hand to fumble in his jeans pocket. The next thing I know he’s down on one knee in front of me. He holds up a ring between his thumb and forefinger.

“Blake Denby, will you marry me?” he says, his voice trembling.

My heart jumps in my throat and for a few seconds all I can do is stare at him in stunned silence.

“A simple yes will do,” Ray tells me with a sweet smile.

“I’ve been thinking about this moment ever since you returned,” I reply softly.

“And?” Ray says. “Come on, Blake, the suspense is killing me.”

“I can’t.”

He chuckles. “Don’t tease me. That’s not fair.”

“No, I really can’t,” I tell him in all seriousness.

His face drops and he lowers his hand, resting it in his lap.

“Why not?” he says with hurt in his eyes.

“Because you don’t exist.”

“What do you mean?” Ray says, dropping to his haunches.

“You’re not on any official records anywhere. You don’t have a birth certificate or any other form of I.D., therefore we can’t get legally married.”

“Oh!” Ray says. “I’d never thought of that. What can we do about it?”

I shrug.

“Your brother-in-law is in I.T., isn’t he? Can’t we get him to hack into the official records and register me?”

I give him a wry smile. “He’s not that good! Besides, I don’t think your date of birth would compute.”

Ray gets back on one knee. “Blake Denby, will you pretend-marry me?” he asks, holding out the ring again.

“Yes,” I say, a grin spreading my lips wide. “I’d love to pretend-marry you.”

He slips the ring on my finger and I hold it up, trying to get it to glint in the moonlight, but it appears to be made of purple plastic.

“I took it off a bunch of multi-coloured key rings I found in the kitchen drawer. I hope you don’t mind.”

I chuckle.

“Maybe one day I can get you a proper one,” he adds.

“No,” I say, admiring the way the plastic ring fits as if it was made-to-measure. “This one is just perfect.”

“Can I have the green one?” Ray asks.

“You can have any colour you like,” I tell him.

“Well,” he says leaning forward. “Now that we’re engaged…”

He fumbles with the button fastening on my jeans and then tugs the zipper down. Without further ado, Ray digs my cock out of my boxers, fully exposing it to the autumn breeze. It immediately responds, filling with blood and stiffening into a semi.

I gasp. “What if someone comes?”

“I hope we’re both going to come before the night is over,” he says with a sexy grin. He grips the base of my cock and pulls it towards him, lowering his head, and I brace myself against the back of the bench.

His warm mouth wraps around the head of my cock and I whimper at how deliciously sinful this feels, having Ray suck me off in the middle of a popular walking spot. I glance around, wondering if anyone’s watching, the thrill of getting caught coaxing a shiver of excitement to rush up my spine.

Ray sucks and bobs, the way I sucked on his cock a couple of weeks ago. I close my eyes, rolling my head back, with a kaleidoscope of colours dancing behind my eyelids. My shaft quickly hardens into a solid rod of iron. I open my eyes and look down at him, half of my cock down his throat and his fist around the other half. I’ve never seen such a glorious sight in all my life. I stroke his hair and he lifts his head and smiles at me. He fumbles in his pocket again.

“I came prepared,“ he tells me, showing me the condoms and lube he brought with him. I gasp and suddenly my courage wanes. A blowjob is one thing, but having actual sex in such a public spot is quite a different matter.

“Not here,” I say. “Let’s find somewhere a bit more discreet.”

“What about over there?” Ray says, nodding towards a wooded area behind us, away from the designated pathway.

“Perfect!” I reply.

I pull my boxers up and hold the two halves of my waistband together as we scurry over to the trees with leaves rustling under our feet. When we think we’re well enough hidden, I pin Ray up against the rough bark of a mighty oak and kiss him with a feverish passion. When I release his lips, my bloodstream is awash with endorphins, making me crazy with need.

I nibble his neck, while I reach down and undo his jeans. I slip my hand inside his underwear and fondle and stroke his already-rigid length. “Oh Blake!” he moans as he lets the condoms and lube slip from his fingers onto the ground. He pushes his jeans and boxers down to his knees and then twists around, jutting his arse out at me, his hands braced against the tree trunk.

I get on my knees and grab hold of his hips as I nuzzle my face into those pert cheeks of his. His arse is too biteable to resist and I work my way around each fleshy orb, nibbling and licking. When I spread his cheeks wide and tickle his sweet little pucker with the tip of my tongue, he reaches back and grabs a handful of my hair, a joyous whimper rattling around the back of his throat. I lube up a finger and he flinches when I circle his hole with it. Slowly he relaxes and then I ease it inside. He gasps when I begin sliding it in and out before adding a second finger.

“Oh Blake!” he whines. “ I need you inside me.”

I quickly grab one of the condoms and roll it over my erection. “I’m going to take good care of you,” I tell him. “Do you trust me?”

“Yes, I trust you.”

I prep his precious little hole, dousing it in so much lube that if I don’t aim my cock at the dead centre, I might just slip right past him into next week. His tight ring of muscle spasms open at my touch and I know he’s ready for me. I present the bulbous head of my arousal to his hole, lining it up dead centre with the bullseye. His breath hitches loudly in his throat as I begin to apply pressure.

“Breathe!” I tell him.

I apply gentle pressure until the head finally slips past his tight ring into virgin territory. “Oh fuck!” Ray groans.

I rock my hips gently, easing a little more in with each stroke, until he’s taken every inch of me, right up to the hilt and then I pause.

“Are you okay?” I ask  tentatively.

“I’m just wonderful,” he says on a breathy sigh.

I start the rocking motion again, gradually picking up the tempo, until I’m thrusting in and out of him with my balls slapping against his arse. Now we’re both groaning and bleating, but still there’s something missing to make this moment perfect.

I withdraw from him. “I want to see your face,” I tell him. “Lie on the ground for me.”

He sprawls out on the soft cushion of leaves, kicking off his shoes and clothes until he’s naked from the waist down, except for his socks. I lift his ankles so they’re either side of his head and press my cock inside of him once more. He bucks and groans as I build up the tempo again, but then he looks up at me with just the sweetest smile ever, and I see a tear spill out of the corner of his eye and trickle down his temple.

I hold perfectly still. “Am I hurting you?”

He shakes his head. “I’m so happy. Having you join with me like this is everything I imagined it would be. I’ve waited so long to know how this feels.”

“And how does it feel, Ray?”

“It makes me feel whole. It makes me feel truly loved.”

I lean over and kiss him, whispering against his lips, “You are truly loved.”

I bury myself deeper inside of my beautiful Ray and his smile widens to a look of pure bliss as he lifts his head so he can watch my cock slipping in and out of his tight little hole.

He looks me deep in the eyes, sweat glistening on his brow in the moonlight. “I want to make love to you too,” he pants. “I want to join with you in body, mind and spirit.”

His words make my balls tighten and I pump faster, feeling my climax building. He reaches up and wraps his hands around my wrists and suddenly I feel light-headed, as if I’m floating. As if we’re floating. Together.

My rhythm falters as I try to make sense of this strange feeling, but then I understand. Ray is communing with me. He’s connecting with my mind.

I envision him lifting us skyward, our bodies entwined as we corkscrew up to the heavens to be among the stars. And that’s when the fireworks really begin, as he makes love to my mind, even as I’m making love to his body. We spiral faster and faster, sparks flying in every direction like a pinwheel, until I’m convinced I can feel him physically inside of me, just as I’m inside him. It’s as if our bodies have merged into one entangled spiral of love, with no telling where one of us ends and the other begins.

Now we’re both crying with joy and I’m so full to the brim with love for this boy that I’m powerless to hold back the orgasm now surging through me. He bucks and arches his back, crying out as we climax together and although I still feel joined with him, in this dreamy vision our seed scatters out of our bodies to float freely, like stardust, across the vast emptiness of space.

I cling tightly to Ray as we gently descend back to Earth and then I feel him disconnect from my mind and we’re back on the ground, amid the leaves, where we’ve been all along.

“I love you so much,” I tell him.

He gazes up at me, a look of utter joy on his face. “I will love you every moment of every day until this human heart stops beating.”

If heaven really does exist, I’ve found it right here on Earth, in the dazzling blue eyes of this guardian angel of all mankind. This angel-turned-mortal who came here to save mankind and is now lying, post-coital, gazing up at me with such affection in his eyes that I feel truly blessed. He’s sacrificed eternal life so we can be together and because of this we shall become more than the sum of our parts. Together we shall raise the new breed of human and teach them the most important lesson they will ever need to know.

Love really does conquer all.
