One Night by Aleatha Romig (8)

Malcolm

I can’t believe what we just did.

Okay. We had sex.

Phenomenal, volcanic-erupting, earthshaking, sex. But it felt like so much more.

I hold Mandy tight, like I need to stay inside her, like I can’t let her go. The way her arms stay wrapped around my neck and her head rests on my shoulder, I hope she feels the same.

Finally, her legs loosen their grip.

Instantaneously, I miss the warmth of her exposed tits against my chest.

“I don’t want to let go of you,” I say with my lips against the soft skin of her neck. My voice is a mere whisper as if speaking too loud could break this spell.

“Don’t let go.” Her voice comes with a sweet giggle as we come apart. As her feet touch the floor, she goes on, “I’m not sure I can walk.” With her arms still around my neck, Mandy rises to her tiptoes and gently kisses my cheek. “Thank you.”

Why on God’s green earth would she be thanking me?

“I’m pretty sure that should be the other way around.”

“This is just one night, but you have no idea how special it is...how much I...well, I didn’t even know...so, just thank you.”

Her words, the way her blue eyes are looking deeply into mine, make me believe she’s right. This isn’t some casual fuck like those back in my hockey days. Mandy Wells is so much more. “I have a good idea, and thank you.”

She just shakes her head as she peers down at the mess I’ve made of her dress. “Um, maybe I could use your bathroom?”

Quickly pulling my pants back up, I then reach for the buttons on my shirt as I lead her through my apartment. Just before she slips behind the bathroom door, I stop her and shimmy out of the sleeves. “Here,” I say, handing her my shirt. “Sorry about your dress.”

A flood of pink fills her cheeks as she accepts. “It will clean.”

“Your panties...”

Her head tilts. “Yep. I think those are goners.” Her eyes sparkle as she closes the door. I hope that the gleam sparkling from her gaze was her way of telling me that her panties were an easy sacrifice for what just happened, for what we just shared.

While she’s occupied, I go to the other bathroom and discard the condom. It’s been so long since I’ve needed one that I’m just glad I had it with me. And then I consider the possibility that the night isn’t over. I rush to my bedroom, hoping my Boy Scout days paid off and I’m prepared if the opportunity, or anything else, arises.

Over an hour later as I hand Mandy a glass of moscato and her gaze meets with mine, I know undoubtedly that I want to learn everything there is to know about this lady. I don’t want us to be strangers, but lovers, friends, soulmates, and everything in between.

In the short time since I've met her, I sense something different than I’ve experienced in other women. There is honesty and sincerity and an unmistakable loving spark that’s hungry for desire and filled with passion. I know it’s too soon for me to feel this way, but fuck, I can’t help the way I feel.

My smile grows as I take her in, from her beautiful tousled hair to her painted toes. I love the way my green button-down hangs on her, big and gaping, showing just a little of her luscious tits. I can’t see all of them, but the curves of the round globes are the perfect tease, making me want more.

“I should probably go,” she says, sipping her wine and tugging the hem of my shirt over her knees.

No.”

Her eyes widen. “No? Are you holding me captive?”

My cock comes back to life. “I wasn’t thinking that, but now I’m intrigued.”

Her smile warms my heart—so trusting and serene.

“But we made a deal before we came here,” I remind her.

We did?”

“I said that before the night was through I wanted to learn more about you, your secrets and dreams. You promised to tell me about the guy you were supposed to meet tonight.”

Her cheeks blossom with shades of pink. “It may make me seem awful, but I’m glad I met you instead.”

I shake my head, opening my beer. “Not awful at all. You, Mandy Wells, are the best meeting I’ve had in—well, ever.”

She tugs again at the hem of my shirt as her bare legs bend under her sexy, petite body. I love that she’s half-naked on my couch. I love that her pussy isn’t covered with anything, and I could easily

She sits straighter. “You’re right. We did have a deal, Malcolm, and I believe it included pizza.”

My hands go up in the air. “I forgot. You see, I’m quite satisfied with what I’ve already eaten.”

The pink of her cheeks darkens to a shade of rose as we both entertain memories of the last hour, of her on this same couch, her legs spread wide, and my face buried in her silky cunt as her undecipherable words filled the air. The mere thought of the scene has me ready for a second course.

“Pizza,” she says, focusing our thoughts.

I stand and reach for my phone. Before I can pull up the app, I see another text message from Brian. I’d received two earlier at the bar, but with my phone on silent and this gorgeous woman at my side, I hadn’t seen them until I was in the car. Truth is that I don’t care anymore about the nice woman he wants me to meet. My mind is on Mandy.

I read his text:

Sorry, man, about the mix-up. Sally is going to try to reschedule. I really fucked up. It won’t happen next time.

I shake my head, wondering how to respond.

No worries. The night wasn’t a bust. We’ll talk. Forget the reschedule, though. I don’t think I’m ready for a blind date...because I want to see the beautiful woman on my couch again, not some “nice” friend of Sally’s. I don’t text that last part, but I think it.

I look down at Mandy, seeing her eyes on me. The way she’s scanning my bare chest makes me want to rip that shirt from her tiny frame. “Well, I never back down from an obligation either,” I say. “I promised pizza. What do you like on your pizza?”

Her lips twitch. “Anchovies and jalapeño peppers.”

My fingers stop as I pull up the ordering app. “Seriously? Fish?”

Mandy stands, my shirt falling to mid-thigh and walks closer. With each step her breathing appears to take more energy as her chest labors and her eyes widen. “If I said I was serious, that I wanted anchovies and peppers, would you order that?”

It’s my turn to nod. Hell, I’d do whatever this woman asked. Make her come all night long. Yes, ma’am. Jump from my balcony. If you say so.

She shakes her head. “I’m not serious. I’m a veggie girl, but…” Her eyes shimmer and lip disappears for a moment as she looks to my belt and back to my gaze. “…I’m not against meat.”

A few clicks and we have a cheese and veggie pizza on its way. By the way she’s dropped to her knees and reached for my belt, I’m confident she’ll have more than enough meat.
