The Billionaire's Embrace: A Billionaire Romance (The Hampton Billionaires Book 2) by Erika Rose (4)

CHAPTER 4

Seth slowly drifted awake, but once he was up he was instantly aware of the warm body next to him. The warm body he had taken over during the night.

After the night they had spent together, Seth was certain he would be sated come morning and yet as Seth opened his eyes and saw Fawn’s sable hair draped across his chest, felt her smooth leg wrapped over his muscular body and felt her warm breath against his belly, the hunger started to build again.

He felt his cock softly start to thrum; if he could, he would take her again right now. But she needed her sleep, and food wouldn’t be such a bad idea either considering they didn’t eat last night.

Seth quietly slipped from the bed, making sure not to wake Fawn. Once he had settled her back against the pillows she moaned softly before rolling over and sleeping restfully once again.

He stepped into the bathroom and closed the door behind him. He felt shaken by last night. He had slept with women before, but he had never stayed the night; last night with Fawn he couldn’t bring himself to leave.

Every time they made love it was as if his desire for her was stronger. The need and the draw of it confused him. How could he want one person that much?

A niggling thought flickered in the back of his mind, was it because she was famous? Seth instantly squashed that thought. He hadn’t known about her fame until he had already decided to take her out. Whatever her fame brought to the table, it wasn’t something Seth couldn’t get on his own.

He opened the cold water tap and splashed his face. When he met his own eyes in the mirror, they were clearer. Clear enough to see what it was about her.

It was Fawn Di Maggio that interested him. Not FAWN. The way her cornflower blue eyes could shine with laughter one moment and become clouded with worry the next. She accepted every challenge he had set the day before without wavering. The way her whole face lit up when she spoke about the music she wanted to sing touched something deep inside Seth.

Something he had thought he’d lost all those years ago when his parents told him there was no future for him in music. A love for making music.

Seth knew he was no singer, but there were many other ways to be involved in music, maybe it was time he stopped fooling around and thought about it.

He switched on the shower and hesitantly washed all traces of Fawn from his body, if only his desire for her was that easy to get rid of.

After he was showered and dressed in the same clothes, Seth looked in on Fawn to find her still fast asleep. It was early; the sun was barely up, in keeping with Seth’s normal routine.

Even if he didn’t have an official job he was up before sunrise each morning. He always started his morning with a run on the beach before it became crowded. He thought of popping by his house going for a run and getting back before Fawn woke, but didn’t want to chance it.

Besides, he wanted to be there when she fluttered open her eyes and saw him again. Would the desire from last night still linger there this morning, or would he see regret?

He phoned room service and ordered a little bit of everything, not sure what Fawn would like, along with a pot of coffee.

A short while later there was a knock at the door. Seth felt his own stomach respond with a growl at the thought of food as he moved to open the door.

“Good morning Sir. Oh I beg your pardon. Mr. Roth. Where would you like me to place this?” Bernie fumbled as he wheeled in the food trolley.

Seth smiled at the young student who had always been a bit tongue tied in Seth’s presence which was quite often. Whenever he was needed or bored he would help out at the hotel in a managerial capacity. Picking up loose strings and sorting out problems in his father’s absence. “No problem Bernie, thanks for the quick delivery.” Seth pulled a fifty out of his trousers and slapped it into Bernie’s palm. “Do me a favor.. not a word of this to the staff or my parents, you understand? I don’t want our guest’s stay to be blackened with rumors.” Seth winked at the boy and hoped he would keep his mouth closed.

After Bernie left, Seth went to the bedroom and softly layed down on the bed.

Fawn was still fast asleep. Through her tussle and turn the sheet had slipped low, barely covering her behind, leaving the ivory smooth skin of her back open for Seth’s view.

He softly ran a finger up and down her spine, until she started to softly moan. He continued his slow assault but every time he reached the hollow of back he moved lower, inching the sheet further bit by bit.

Fawn moaned a little more before she turned onto her back.

Seth felt his cock stir and stiffen at the sight. Her generous but firm breasts were topped with cinnamon areolas, the nipples slightly stiffened at the cold morning air. Her abdomen was flat, her navel a perfect hollow before sweeping down to jet black strip of hair between her legs.

He allowed his eyes to linger there for a moment before trailing to her face. Her heart shaped face boasted high cheekbones most women have paid thousands for. Long sweeping eyelashes rested on them, as if that were their sole purpose. Her nose straight, slightly turned up the end. Her mouth was a perfect rose bud in dusky pink.

Seth couldn’t resist and slowly leaned forward and rested his lips on hers. He felt her moan beneath him before he felt her waken.

He slowly pulled back and watched her eyes flutter open. Cornflower blue irises flicked to him before flicking down and noticing her nudity.

She hastily tugged at the sheet covering her before turning to Seth again. “Good morning.”

Seth smiled lazily, his cock throbbing for her. “Good morning yourself.” Keeping his gaze on her he slowly pushed the sheet away. “I’d like to look at you, didn’t have much time for that last night.” His voice was low, the arousal in it clear.

Fawn blushed bright red, and Seth wondered if that was regret that flickered for an instant in her eyes before she recovered. He leaned over pressing another soft kiss on her lips, her body stiff below him. “I enjoyed last night.” He whispered softly before licking at the seam of her lips.

He felt her soften and relax slowly before kissing him back. Their need for each other was as fresh in the early morning light as it was in the twilight the night before.

Seth had to force himself to pull back. “How about we eat something first?”

The regret had disappeared from her eyes; in its place was laughter and arousal. Seth pushed away from the bed before he couldn’t stop himself.

“I don’t feel like going down.” Fawn complained from the bed.

“You don’t have to, only have to get up. It’s waiting in the living room.”

Fawn shook her head as she got up from the bed completely naked, and walked towards Seth. He felt his heart climb into his throat, she was sexy as hell. All confidence and curves and she was headed straight to him.

“You seem quite impressed with yourself Mr. Roth.” Fawn drawled before squeezing his ass and walking to the bathroom.

Seth let out a long breath, could the woman be any more unpredictable. “So am I, with you.” He called after her.

He heard her laughter floating from the bathroom when there was a brief knock on the door.

“We’re not done yet, Bernie.” Seth called out as he walked towards the door. He opened it pulling another twenty out of his pocket, but when he looked up it wasn’t Bernie at the door.

“Sir. I need to speak with Miss Di Maggio immediately.” Dom’s large frame was almost blocking the door. He wore a black suit, which Seth guessed had to be custom-made to fit his barrel chest. His square face and hawk like eyes aimed at Seth.

“Uh, sure. I’ll go get her.” Seth said to man feeling slightly intimidated.

He closed the door behind him and went in search of Fawn where she had just stepped out of the shower.

“Your guy is here, says he needs to speak to you urgently.” Seth said leaning against the door frame.

“Dom? So early? Shit! This can only mean trouble.” Confusion was quickly followed by worry in her eyes. Fawn quickly dragged on a hotel robe and wrapped her hair up with a towel before following Seth to the door.

“Dom? What’s wrong?” Fawn asked as soon as the door opened.

Seth watched the interaction. Clearly Fawn trusted this large man called Dom, maybe he should too.

“John phoned. He’s had a couple calls this morning, questioning about your stay in the Hamptons?”

Fawn grabbed Dom’s arm and pulled him into the suite before slamming the door behind him. “What? I went out for the first time yesterday and except for those girls last night no one recognized me. You told me you dealt with them?”

Dom sighed. “They were satisfied with the golden circle tickets Fawn, that didn’t mean they forgot they met you. It might’ve slipped.”

“Who’s John?” Seth asked confused.

“John Piwalsky. My manager.” Fawn said off handedly before letting out a curse.

Seth was out of his depth. Clearly the fact that her identity might’ve been leaked upset her, but what could he do about it. “We could change your name in the guest registry, that way if anyone called…”

Seth stopped speaking as a glacial look from Fawn stopped him. “You think I check in with my own name, think again buster. I’ve got so many pseudonyms I’m not even sure when I’m Snow White or the evil witch.”

Dom shook his head irritably at Seth before turning to Fawn. “How about him?”

Both Fawn and Dom turned to Seth, the question clear in their eyes.

“What? You think somewhere between meeting you for drink and opening the door to Dom I phoned the press?” His temper started to flare; he grabbed his phone and tossed it at Dom. “Here check my phone, I haven’t even checked a message since I stepped into this suite last night. And as for the hotel phone, that’s easy. Get the clerk to print you an itemized billing report.”

“Seth…” Fawn said beside him. “I’m sorry; I didn’t mean to offend you.”

“Yeah sure.” Seth walked to the food trolley opened one of the lids and found his appetite gone.

“What do you want to do?” Dom asked Fawn as he tossed Seth’s phone back at him.

“I don’t know. If it’s just a rumor, I don’t want to cut my holiday short.” Fawn said almost to herself. Turning to Dom she continued. “Besides the attention and photographers here can’t be as bad as California. Maybe we should stick it out for a few days and see what happens.”

“It can’t be that bad; I mean just tell them to leave you alone.” Seth said trying to help.

Fawn turned from where she was pacing to the window towards him. “Just tell them to leave me alone?” Her voice was threateningly soft. She let out a dry laugh. “You think that will work? You think I haven’t tried that?”

Dom mumbled something incoherently before excusing himself and closing the door behind him. For a moment Seth wondered if he shouldn’t follow Dom’s example.

“I’m just trying to help Fawn, don’t get your back up.”

“Don’t you tell me when to get my back up? I’ve been dealing with press and photographers harassing me for years. Taking a picture of me shaking someone’s hand and then the following day it’s in the papers I’m engaged. Selling photos of me crying at a funeral, displaying the softer side of FAWN. Don’t try to help me when you have no idea what I’m dealing with.”

Seth rubbed a hand over his brow and sighed. “Sure I won’t help. Do you want some coffee?”

He heard Fawn’s answer as he picked up the coffee pot. “I think you should leave. Last night was fun, but it’s obvious this isn’t going anywhere.”

Seth turned and walked straight to her, stopping a few inches from her face. “Last night was much more than fun, you and I know that.” His voice was low, his eyes never leaving hers as he continued. “I’m leaving now cause you’re in a pissy mood, but believe me when I say I’ll be back.”

With that Seth grabbed his wallet, keys and phone and headed for the door.
