A Drackon Christmas by Maia Starr (12)

Chapter 12

Captain Gavonn Viox

It felt like my entire body was on fire. That was the best way that I could describe being inside of Noelle. It was something I had craved for two long years. Being able to satisfy that urge was beyond any words. Although she was still angry with me and didn't let me make romantic and sensual love to her the way that I wanted to, it was still passionate and satisfying. It was enough, for now. But I was determined to win back her heart. But I didn't know if I would be successful.

“We really should get out of here. We are not safe. By now they know who you are and that I took you with me. They have all of your information, including your home address,” I said rolling out of bed and grabbing my derets. I pulled them on and started to get dressed.

“You are right. Speaking of that, I think we should drive there. We should take my car,” she said as she rolled out of bed and moved to her closet.

“Why? I don't think that is a good idea. My ship is fast. We will be there in minutes,” I said.

“That is true. But out in the country, there are very few Drackon ships. A ship like yours will not go unnoticed. It will be reported by country folk. Just trust me on this,” she said as she pulled on pants and heavy boots.

“How long is this drive in your vehicle?” I asked.

“About two and a half hours, maybe a little more depending on how heavy the snow is. But at this time of night, there should be no traffic. In the darkness, no one will be able to see you sitting in the car,” she said.

“I still don't know about this,” I said.

“Just trust me. We are going to need a vehicle while we're there anyway so I can make trips to the market. We can't exactly drive your spaceship to the store. We will need my car. Besides, it is a good SUV. Perfect for driving in the snow,” she said.

“All right. I trust you. So I should load the supplies and your bags in your vehicle,” I said.

“No, you will not,” she said.

“But you just said…”

“No, I don't need anyone in the building seeing you. There are no Drackon that live in this building. Remember, we are trying to do this in secret. I can take the supplies down; they are not heavy, and it won't take long, just a couple of trips. Then when it is time to leave, you can walk down to my car in the garage. That way there is only one chance that you might be seen,” she said.

I had to hand it to her. She was thinking like a captain. She was prepared and thinking about all the possible ways of getting caught and working around them. I was impressed with her. Even now as she stood in her tight-fitted jeans and boots and completely naked from the waist up as she pulled clothing out of the drawer. Her nipples were still hard, and it was difficult for me to keep my hands off of her. I was ready to pick her up and throw her on the bed and go for another round. But it would have to wait until we were in the safety of this isolated cabin.

“All right, Captain. I will do as you say,” I said to her and gave her the Drackon salute.

A smile came across her face. It was the first real smile I had seen since my wife had barged in on us. It made me happy. I was getting glimpses of the old Noelle.

After I dressed, I grabbed the supplies in her bag and carried them to the door. This was as far as she would let me carry them.

She grabbed her keys and began to make the trip down to the garage, loading one bag after another. I felt useless. It was not a feeling that I liked. I drank an enormous amount of water and ate some food. I wanted to have all of my energy for the trip.

“This is the last one. I am going to take it down and make sure that the coast is clear. Then I will come back up to get you,” she said picking up a bag of canned food.

“I understand,” I said with a wink. She rolled her eyes at me. I had to admit that her sassiness towards me was very enticing.

I went through and turned off all of the lights in the apartment. I turned off the heat and made sure everything was in good standing because I did not know how long she would be gone from this home, possibly forever.

There was a knock at the door.

“She must have accidentally locked herself out,” I said to myself.

I opened the door. But it was not Noelle. Shit.

“That's him! That's Captain Viox!” the Earth warrior said as four of them came at me. I stepped back into the apartment. They had their guns aimed at me.

“Where is the human that you took from Sala?” he said.

I realized what was happening. Samara had made it seem like I had abducted Noelle by force. This was how she was going to make me a fugitive. This was how she was going to make sure I landed in prison.

“I don't know where she is,” I sneered at them.

“Search the apartment! Put him in chains,” he shouted.

I didn't struggle. I didn't want Noelle to walk in at any second and surprise them. They could accidentally shoot her. It wasn't worth it.

“She is not in here,” another warrior said.

“I told you. I have not seen her since Sala. I have come to her apartment looking for her. I was waiting for her,” I said to them.

“Your ship is on the roof. We are taking you down to the embassy. We will get the truth out of you one way or another,” he said.

“Do what you must,” I said. I just wanted them to get out of the building. I needed her to be safe.

They pushed me out of the apartment. They walked me to the elevator. I loudly said, “Noelle is not here. I would know if she were. She's probably gone somewhere safe.”

I said this loud because I knew that she was listening. I could smell her scent. She was in the stairwell. I was talking to her. I was trying to get her to leave to the cabin without me.

Then we were out of the building. Once we were safely in the armored car parked outside, I felt some relief. Noelle was safe, for now.
