Fated to Fall (Fated Mate Book 2) by Stephanie West (9)

Vivian

“This is where you’ve been staying?” Kara stared at Blaidd’s bedroom in awe. “Jeez. And I thought the other bedroom was impressive.”

“I told you, Blaidd’s like some sort of prince.”

“And you’ve been staying in his bedroom.” Kara eyed her sister suspiciously.

“You should see his closet.” Vivian ignored her sister’s sideways glance.

Vivian led them into the giant storage room.

“Oh, wow,” Judith commented as she turned a circle in the room.

“Don’t touch anything,” Vivian warned.

She gave her family the grand tour to pass the time. Hopefully Blaidd wouldn’t be gone that long. She should’ve gone after him, or not snapped and run him off again.

Ugh, Vivian groaned at herself, as she led her sister and mother through the aisles.

“This is a transporter, just like what brought you here.” Vivian showed them the mirror. “Apparently, it’s an antique,” she snorted. On the way back out of the room, Vivian pointed to the metal soldier. “That thing nearly took my head off when I first explored this place. I mimicked its bow, and it attacked. Supposedly it’s a training toy.”

“This is too wild,” Kara exclaimed in awe.

Vivian stopped when she saw Taruk standing at the door. The last person who caught her in the storage room reacted badly.

“I’m to escort you to the limen portal,” Taruk announced.

“We’re going home?” Kara said in surprise.

“Yes.” Taruk nodded.

Deep down Vivian knew Blaidd would make the right choice, but she was relieved by his swift about face. Vivian wanted nothing more than to see a recognizable face, since the moment all this began, but she never wanted her family to get tangled up in this unreal drama.

“Come on, Mom, Kara.”

The fact she was leaving Torvus dawned on Vivian, as they followed Taruk to the portal. Her steps slowed as they entered the limen room.

“Such an amazing view,” Judith marveled as she held Vivian’s hand, and looked out the bank of windows.

So much had changed since she first saw this vista. It felt like a lifetime ago.

“An unforgettable sight,” Vivian replied to her mom.

The sun was setting over Torvus, and the two moons were just peeking over the nearby mountains. The luminous celestial bodies stood out on the maroon and purple striated horizon. There was only one other thing Vivian wanted to see before she left Torvus, but he wasn’t here to say goodbye.

Vivian couldn’t blame Blaidd. He was probably ready to be rid of her. She owed Blaidd her life, but bit his head off at every turn. As misguided as his actions were, everything he’d done had been in an attempt to help and make her happy. Vivian kept lashing out, because she’d been a victim of someone’s bravado before, and feared where it would lead. She was like a rubber band stretched to its limit, and now she was snapping back. Except this was different. Blaidd was different. Steve did outlandish shit to keep her away from her family, not bring them together. Vivian shook her head in disappointment, wondering when she’d let Steve steal her ability to trust.

Judith pulled Vivian away from the window, toward the transporter platform.

“Just your mother and sister,” Taruk said, as he stepped in.

That’s why Blaidd didn’t come to say goodbye, Vivian smiled to herself.

“No,” Judith cried, pain twisting her face.

“We’re not going without Vivian,” Kara insisted, taking a threatening step towards Taruk and Lyr.

Kara wasn’t any taller than Vivian, but she was a firecracker. She didn’t seem to care the two Lupercalia guards outweighed her by at least a hundred pounds each. Kara held up her fists threateningly, as she turned from one guard to the other. Taruk looked concerned, but Lyr just smiled in amusement. Vivian had to smile too.

“I love you, Sis.” Vivian put a hand on Kara’s arm, forcing her to lower her clinched fist. “Go on. I’ll be fine.” Vivian urged them toward the platform. “I’ll be home before you know it.”

“We’ll get a lawyer. You can stay hidden at my house,” Judith bargained.

“No, Mom. I won’t put you in that position. I know you’re worried about me.” Vivian smiled at her sister. “But I promise you I’m fine. For the first time in a long while, I feel I can truly say that,” Vivian encouraged, giving her mother a kiss on the cheek.

And it was true. She wasn’t just saying it to make them feel better.

Kara’s mouth opened to object, but Judith took her hand, and led her up the platform.

“We’ll see you soon.” Judith cast Vivian a watery smile, then turned to Taruk and Lyr. “Or I’ll be back,” she promised.

The determined look on her mother’s face meant business.

“I love you guys,” Vivian said, attempting not to cry, as her family flickered, then disappeared.

Vivian walked to the window, and located the dagger constellation in the darkening sky. Somewhere on its tip, her family was being safely deposited home. Vivian smiled as she ran her hand over the unusual glass.

“Taruk, take me to Blaidd,” she asked, as she followed Taruk onto the small elevator.

“I wasn’t given those orders.”

“Did Blaidd specifically tell you not to take me to him, and has he ever shared a plate of cold-cuts with you?”

“No, to both,” Taruk chuckled. “This way.” He led her to the right when they stepped off at the top floor, instead of left toward Blaidd’s bedroom.

Vivian grinned at how easily Taruk was persuaded, as they walked. Not that she was asking him to do anything he’d get in trouble for. At least she hoped not.

“Don’t feel too bad. I don’t know a man who can’t be bribed with food. Chocolate and coffee are my weaknesses,” she admitted.

“I don’t know what those are, but I’ll remember that.” Taruk smiled. “In here.” He pointed, then bowed and left.

“Thank you, Taruk.”

Vivian peered into the room, her eyes panning the scarred wooden targets and worn training obstacles. Swords, knives, and barbed pikes of all sizes and shapes lined the walls. But that’s not what caught her attention. Blaidd was sparring with Indago. Both men were stripped down to a pair of tight shorts, their bare chests gleaming with sweat. Blaidd’s muscles flexed and rippled, as he moved with predatory grace. Vivian watched in rapt attention, recognizing many of the moves from Coal’s lessons.

Blaidd spun and swept with his leg, knocking his opponent to the floor. He snarled, teeth bared a breath from Indago’s neck. Blaidd was an alpha among alphas. The display of unrivaled dominance sent a thrill coursing through Vivian. Her heart sped up, her breath shallow and rapid, as the frisson of heat coiled low in her stomach.

Abruptly Blaidd’s head popped up, his amber eyes zeroing in on Vivian.

“Leave,” he commanded Indago, his intense gaze never leaving hers. Blaidd’s deep rumbled voice felt like fingers running over her body.

“Yes, Primitus.” Indago flipped upright, onto his feet. “Good evening, Vivian.” He nodded as he left.

Vivian pushed off the wall and strode toward Blaidd. She couldn’t help the sway in her hips. Blaidd also noticed, as he silently watched her approach.

“My family went back home. Thank you.”

“Did you think I would insist they stay?” Blaidd asked tersely.

He had every right to be aggravated. Vivian had accused him of many things, since arriving on Torvus. Yet he kept trying, coaxing her out of her shell-shocked state. That, added to Blaidd’s sexy powerful frame, was enough to make her weak in the knees.

“I meant thank you for bringing them here, despite what I might have said.”

Blaidd huffed incredulously. But Vivian wasn’t daunted.

She couldn’t lift her tail to flirt like the she-wolves did. And ducking her head felt more like cowering than a come on. But Vivian, did let her eyes drift to half mast, and overtly admired him, as she stepped into Blaidd’s personal space. She was so close, she could feel the heat radiating off his body. Vivian drew in a deep breath. Blaidd’s masculine scent made goosebumps rise on her skin.

What is that smell? She couldn’t seem to get enough of it.

“You have some nice moves. Why don’t you show me a few?” Vivian glanced up at him through shuttered lashes, as she nibbled her lip in anticipation.

“I would break you without even trying,” he rumbled.

“No, I don’t think you would.”

Vivian reached out and ran her hand over Blaidd’s rock hard chest. He stayed stock still as her fingers trailed over the velvet on his bicep, while she circled behind him.

“I know what you think, but I’m not some fragile doll,” Vivian whispered, as she leaned into his back. Her gentle breath caused the velvet covering his skin to stand on end.

“Vivian,” Blaidd growled in warning, his voice impossibly deep.

Vivian felt the vibration as she traced his spine, following it down to his tail. Blaidd’s fists were clenched, his nails biting into his palms. But Vivian wasn’t worried. She circled around his other side, and stopped in front of him again.

“Don’t underestimate me, Blaidd.”

Vivian thrust out her palms, striking Blaidd in his solar plexus. He didn’t expect the move, and stumbled back. Vivian held out her hand and beckoned with a wave.

“You need to go back to my chambers,” he grumbled.

Blaidd moved to grab her. Vivian swept her arm, swatting his hand away, like Coal demonstrated. She wasn’t going to be sent to her room, like a little girl. Although she was feeling rather naughty.

Faster than Vivian could process, she found herself pinned on her back. Blaidd cushioned her fall with his strong arms.

“You don’t know the manner of beast you’re tempting,” he snarled.

Vivian looked into his swirling amber eyes, as his hard body pressed against the length of hers, his bulging arms caging her in. His pupils were dilated, like black pools in a lake of fire. Blaidd’s fangs looked longer than she remembered.

“I warned you about me,” he growled in between chuffing breaths.

“You won’t hurt me,” Vivian insisted. She squirmed, working her way out of his grasp. “Because you’d have to catch me first.” Vivian took off running.

It was foolish to taunt a predator. The rational part of her screamed that fact. Blaidd’s feral side was intimidating, but it also aroused her. He made her feel alive. The adrenalin coursed through Vivian as she sprinted down the hall. She didn’t know where this game of chase was leading, but Vivian was done being ruled by her fear. She wanted to hold onto this sense of excitement and desire with two hands.

Vivian glanced back as she reached Blaidd’s chamber. Her heart leapt in her chest, seeing the frighteningly calm way Blaidd stalked toward her. He almost didn’t look like himself.

Vivian shoved open the door, and backed into the room. Blaidd followed her step for step.

“I told you never to run from me,” he growled aggressively.

Blaidd loomed so close, he blocked out her view of everything else. Vivian hit the bed, and fell back onto it. Blaidd flipped her onto her stomach, and came down on top of her, pressing her into the mattress. His nose burrowed into her hair, his huffing breath teasing her neck.

Vivian looked into the large mirror on the nearby wall. Blaidd crouched over her, was an erotic sight. She watched and felt him work his way along her shoulder. He drew her in with deep breaths, savoring her scent. Blaidd retraced the path with open mouth kisses, tasting Vivian’s skin.

Blaidd’s fingers wrapped around the back of her neck. He didn’t squeeze her throat, he just held her bent over the edge of the bed. Blaidd shoved up her t-shirt, and worked his way down the length of her body, kissing and nuzzling her back. Vivian drew in deep breaths, savoring how his firm lips sampled her skin.

Vivian’s eyes widened when she watched him raise his free hand and extend his claws. He hooked one sharp point beneath the waistband of her shorts, then shredded them. Vivian’s heart beat staccato, when his nose traced the elastic of her panties. Blaidd groaned a deep satisfied sound. Vivian felt the tips of his sharp fangs graze her ass cheek, and gasped when he tore her panties with his teeth.

Vivian shivered, feeling the cool air against her exposed pussy. The way her ass jutted off the edge of the bed, gave Blaidd a clear view of how turned on she was. The man was so tall, he easily held her prone, while his face sank between her thighs.

“Yes,” he growled, vibrating the lips concealing her vagina.

“Oh!”

The exclamation burst forth, when Blaidd’s tongue snaked out, exploring her slick folds. The instant he found the mouth of her pussy, his tongue delved in, hot and wet.

“Blaidd,” Vivian panted as he fucked her with his tongue, his face buried deep.

Each time Blaidd grazed her swollen clit, she jumped. But he held her firm, making sure she couldn’t escape his wicked mouth. Blaidd made animalistic noises as he feasted between her thighs, and Vivian quickly found herself shaking, on the edge of orgasm. A flood of moisture ran down her thighs as her stomach cramped with desire.

She was so close to the first release she’d experienced in a long time, when Blaidd snarled and reared back. Vivian whimpered in frustration, till she caught sight of him in the mirror. Blaidd tore at his pants, releasing his unbelievably thick cock. He was so engorged that even the vein running along his shaft stood out. Blaidd shoved Vivian’s knees wider and knelt between her splayed legs. Vivian started to hyperventilate when he gripped her hips, and tugged her ass closer. She didn’t know how he was going to fit that thing inside her, yet she didn’t want him to stop. Blaidd gripped his cock, and lined it up with her aching pussy. The heat of him branded her intimate flesh, but he stayed maddeningly still, poised at her entrance.

Blaidd

The raging heat overwhelmed Blaidd. Vivian filled every sense. He could smell her fragrant musk, taste her desire on his tongue, and hear her ragged gasps, as he knelt between her spread thighs. Blaidd stroked his length, as he stared at her weeping slit. She was small and delicate in every way. And her pink quivering pussy was no different. The thought of what he was about to do, stilled him.

“Please,” Vivian entreated, as she gripped the blankets.

He could scent her trepidation along with her need.

You have to stop, Blaidd admonished himself, then heard a resistant snarl rumble from his own chest.

“Blaidd, please, I need you,” Vivian begged wantonly, while staring back at him.

Her plea snapped his resolve. Blaidd pressed his thick crown to Vivian’s slit, and pushed forward. She was so incredibly slick and wet, still it was a tight fit, as he worked to breach her.

“Oh,” Vivian gasped, as the head of his staff stretched her wider.

Blaidd groaned at how snug and hot Vivian felt. This was unlike anything he’d ever known. It took everything in him to not slam into her. Blaidd gripped the cheeks of Vivian’s lush creamy behind, to steady himself, as he penetrated her inch by inch.

“Blaidd. Blaidd,” Vivian panted, as he slowly delved deeper.

Blaidd wasn’t nearly halfway embedded in Vivian’s body when he halted his advance. The sight of her pink swollen lips straining around his staff, sent a rolling growl vibrating from his chest. Blaidd pulled slowly back, watching as his crown emerged from her quivering slit. Vivian relaxed with a moan.

Her moan turned guttural when Blaidd drove back in, stretching her wider. He pressed deeper than before, and Vivian arched off the bed with an impassioned cry. Her velvety slick channel clamped down on him.

“That’s the spot,” Blaidd groaned. He’d found her pleasure center.

Blaidd pulled back, then shoved forward, the head of his staff abrading the sensitive spot inside her sheath. Vivian cried out again, writhing in his grasp. Vivian overcome with ecstasy was a beautiful sight.

Each time Blaidd teased the bundle of nerves, he sunk deeper into Vivian’s body. But it was slow going, and he was quickly losing control. The feral beast that he was, wanted to repeatedly slam balls deep into Vivian’s hot body. She felt so good wrapped around his staff. Blaidd’s canines itched to sink into the flesh of her neck. His head was spinning. The heat gnawed at him to claim Vivian in the most primal way.

“I can’t,” Blaidd snarled and quickly withdrew, staggering back from Vivian. He refused to hurt her by giving reign to his lust.

“Blaidd?” Vivian asked in concern and confusion, as she climbed onto the bed with quivering legs.

Blaidd paced, snarling in frustration. She was so small, cradling her knees with her long graceful arms. What had he been thinking, letting the heat overwhelm his better judgement?

“Please tell me what’s wrong?” She pleaded.

“I won’t hurt you,” Blaidd growled.

“You weren’t hurting me.” Vivian got off the bed and moved toward him.

He held up his hands to halt her. “You are too small to withstand what I will do to you.”

“Blaidd, you weren’t hurting me,” Vivian insisted again.

She wouldn’t be deterred. As Vivian approached, Blaidd tried not to look at her thick hips, but the tempting sight captivated him. Vivian ran her hands down his bicep, and lifted his clenched fist. He eased, letting her fingers intertwine with his. Vivian led him back to the bed. He should’ve resisted, but couldn’t. Blaidd sank onto the mattress, and Vivian climbed into his lap. Blaidd’s shaft kicked in response.

“Treasure, I’m holding on by a hair,” Blaidd groaned.

She smelled so good. So unbelievably good.

“Don’t run from me,” Vivian tossed his words back at him.

Her lips traced his chest, moving across his pecs, while she gently stroked his shoulders. Her full mouth moved along his collarbone to the base of his throat. Blaidd looked at the ceiling, pleading Fate to give him strength. He didn’t want to leave, but he couldn’t see how he could stay.

“Hands behind your back, Blaidd.”

Vivian pried his clenched hands from the blankets, and pushed them behind his back.

“This isn’t going to work,” Blaidd growled, when she crawled behind him.

“Not another word!” Vivian husked into his ear.

The shockingly stern tone of her voice, had Blaidd’s ears perking up. He glanced in the mirror, and watched as Vivian stripped off her shirt. She unclasped a strappy garment, freeing her breasts. The creamy mounds instantly had him salivating. What Vivian did next, stunned Blaidd into silence.

Blaidd’s breath heaved from his chest, as Vivian bound his wrists with the lacy garment. Never had any female dared to tie him up. But this small gloriously nude siren boldly did just that.

Blaidd stared at Vivian, as she straddled his lap again. Her neck and chest were flush with desire. Her breasts were full, tipped with rosy turgid nipples. Vivian shoved Blaidd back on the bed.

“Don’t move a muscle,” she commanded.

Vivian’s sudden dominant streak had Blaidd reeling. The tiny goddess perched atop him was a sight to behold. Her waist narrowed to a lush pair of hips. There was a sexy tuft of hair at the junction of her thighs. It teased him, since he knew the treasure that lay beneath those dark curls. Blaidd was used to females with hair, but somehow this lone patch, on her otherwise hairless body, was insanely erotic. He could feel her heated core against his stomach.

“Now pay attention,” Vivian insisted.

Her hands moved over the ridges of his abs. His muscles quivered beneath her palms. Blaidd followed as her fingers drifted up her thighs to her puffy cleft. She splayed her slick folds and Blaidd groaned. His hands, pinned beneath him, flexed in their elastic bonds.

“This is my clit.”

Blaidd’s gaze was riveted to the unique swollen bead of flesh at the top of her folds. Vivian circled it with her fingertip. She moaned as she rolled the erect ruddy little button, with increasing vigor. A stream of nectar leaked down from her pussy. Blaidd huffed, his nostrils flaring. He was desperate for another taste.

Her torment increased as she rocked her hips. His staff, trapped between the cheeks of Vivian’s ass, slid in her moisture. Blaidd’s stomach flexed involuntarily in response to the stimulus, pulling him off the bed.

“Bad boy! No moving,” Vivian barked, slapping his stomach.

The slight sting made him burn hotter. Vivian continued to rock against him, as she stroked herself. She moaned and threw her head back. Blaidd snarled at the glorious sight. Her back was arched in ecstasy, her breasts thrust forward. The way she bit her bottom lip, made his canines ache to take a nip. He’d never known such sweet torment, always having the satisfaction of taking what he wanted.

Vivian lifted and gripped his engorged staff. He was so hard, his balls throbbed.

“Like silk over steel,” Vivian murmured, as she rubbed his length against her clit.

Every muscle in his body strained, but Blaidd didn’t move. He hated to see what other punishment Vivian might come up with. This was maddening enough.

On her next stroke, Vivian fit his crown at the mouth of her pussy. She moaned as she enveloped his crest. Vivian’s channel convulsed as she slid down, straining to accept Blaidd’s length.

“Vivian,” he objected, till she cast him a stern look. Fate help me.

Vivian vigorously rubbed her clit as she relaxed the muscles in her legs. She cried out and Blaidd roared, when she impaled herself to the hilt. Vivian gripped his stomach, her nails digging into his flesh. Her muscles spasmed rhythmically along his straining shaft, making his arousal kick. Vivian whimpered in response, as she grew accustomed to his size.

Blaidd debated breaking free of his haphazard bonds, to pull her off him. But just as he flexed his wrists to do just that, Vivian started to move again.

Koyat’g fate,” Blaidd groaned, when she slid upward, gripping him with her hot wet sheath.

Vivian continued playing with herself as she rode Blaidd.

“Oh god, Blaidd.”

She felt so unbelievably good, Blaidd felt himself spiraling. He couldn’t help the way his hips bucked, forcing an erotic keen from Vivian’s throat. Blaidd couldn’t take it anymore, he lunged forward, capturing her gasping lips. Vivian wrapped her arms around his neck, as her tongue speared into his mouth. She kissed him with frantic passion, gasping into his mouth each time she slammed down on his arousal. She was unbelievably wild in her passion.

The spasms wracking Vivian’s channel grew in strength and tempo. Blaidd felt his balls draw up tight, and his staff swell inside her body. His pulsing shaft abraded her pleasure center as Blaidd rapidly thrust into Vivian’s welcoming body. Suddenly, Vivian froze, her entire body going rigid. Then she detonated, releasing a guttural cry, her pussy exploding in a maelstrom of mind numbing convulsions. Blaidd burst, bathing her channel with his seed. The cataclysmic release ripped a roar of all consuming pleasure from Blaidd, shaking the walls. He fell on the bed, panting as he came back to reality. Vivian collapsed on his chest. A grin tipped Blaidd’s mouth when he noticed she’d passed out, fast asleep. Her little puffs of breath tickled his chest.

“You are the one, aren’t you, treasure?” Blaidd whispered.

He tore free of his bonds, and wrapped his arms around Vivian, before letting sleep take him.
