Forgiven - A Brother's Best Friend Romance by Piper Phoenix (6)

Epilogue

Heath brushed a piece of lint off of his perfectly iron pants. He looked absolutely perfect as he stood there talking to two older women both wearing strange hats with birds and flowers on them.

I looked down at my hand and smiled as the diamond sparkled in the sunlight. I couldn’t believe we were husband and wife.

“You look beautiful,” my mom said smoothing out my gown.

“Stop it,” I said trying to push her hands away. “It’s fine.”

“Oh, let me fuss over you dear. It’s not every day my daughter gets married,” she said as a little drop of wetness popped up in the corner of her eye. “Did you see Paul made it?”

I nodded. My brother was terribly busy but managed to get a day off. He was flying back out in a few hours.

“It looked like Paul and Heath picked right up where they’d left off,” my mom said grinning.

“I hope not,” I muttered. Neither my brother or I would have wanted that because the girl Heath would have been talking about would have been me.

I jerked when I felt an arm sliding around my waist. It only took a second to realize it was Heath.

“How are you beautiful ladies doing?” he said slurring his words ever so slightly.

“How much have you had?” I said narrowing my eyes at him playfully.

I could feel him shrug. “One. Maybe two. Three at the most.” He pressed himself into my backside and put his lips near my ear. “When does the honeymoon start?”

“Later,” I said glancing at my mom to make sure she hadn’t heard him. “We have guests. They’ll probably play the chicken dance soon.”

“We can only hope,” Heath said kissing my neck.

“I leave you two alone,” my mom said as she flapped her hand towards a woman wearing a dress that looked like it was from the eighteen hundreds.

Heath slid his hand down my backside and grabbed my ass. “If only everyone else would do that too, so I could stick my cock inside my bride.”

“Heath!” I said, smiling as a couple I didn’t know walked past. The woman placed her hand on her chest and grinned at us.

“They’re so in love,” she whispered to the man. “Why can’t you be more like that?”

Heath chuckled. “Ladies love some co

“Stop it!” I scolded. “Don’t forget they all still remember it wasn’t that long ago you were a priest.”

“Oh fuck, that’s right.”

I looked at him out of the corner of my eyes. “I think you’re cut off for the night.”

He swallowed down a hiccup. “Maybe you’re right. I sure as hell don’t want to pass out before the good stuff.”

“Oh please,” I said rolling my eyes at him.

“What? I’m serious. I need this big dick at the top of its game. This could be the night we make a baby.”

My mouth dropped open. “Are you serious. I mean I know we both want kids but isn’t this too

“Of course it’s not. I want to get fucking started on a fucking family right now.” Heath turned to the side. “Woo!”

“Who are you?” I said unable to hold in my laugh. “You know what I want? What I really want?”

“Tell me what you want,” Heath said, grinning.

I raised an eyebrow. “I want you to sober up. Go get a cup of coffee.”

“For you my love,” he took a step forward and bowed, “I’d do anything.”

“Let’s start with the coffee.”

“Then the kids! Woo!” he said pumping his fist in the air.

I shook my head and turned away. If he was going to act like a twenty-one year old, at least I didn’t have to watch.

I looked around the party. Everyone was laughing and having a good time. Things couldn’t have worked out any better than they had.

I was happy.

Heath was happy.

We’d be happy together and soon, maybe even sooner than I imagined, we’d have our own little family. I smiled as I grabbed a flute of champagne from the passing waiter.

I chugged it down in one gulp and raised my glass to the sky. “Woo!”

The End.
