Sexy Cute

I ended up landing into a small body and it took me a few seconds to realise that I was back, and the visions of the past was now over. The body I was leaning into turned out to be Pip as she helped keep me steady after what was quite an ordeal. I don’t know how long it took me to get back, but I know that I had to try really hard not to faint or vomit for that matter. It felt almost like coming off a rollercoaster that had turned your stomach with too many twists, turns and barrel curled loops.

“It’s okay, you’re back…just take deep breaths,” Sophia cooed behind me rubbing large circles on my back.

“Yeah, wow Toots, you certainly know how to show a girl a wild time!” Pip said making me frown the second her words started to form a real sentence in my head.

“Wh…what do you mean?” I asked after first having to clear my throat as now it felt hoarse from screaming. I pulled back to see her grinning at me before she stuck her top teeth further out and pretended to gnaw at something.

“Oh my god! You’re the rabbit!?” I shouted the second she also pretended she had ears.

“You see, now that is how you play charades!” Pip said to Sophia, making her just roll her eyes and mutter,

“Whatever.” But I didn’t really hear any of this, or at least barely took it in because all I knew was the overwhelming need to cry. So, I grabbed them both to me and started sobbing.

“Whoa!”

“Oh okay.” Both of them said at the same time. Then the second they realised I was crying like a baby, Sophia pulled back and said,

“Hey now, what’s this all about, was it that bad?”

“Nnnoo…well yeah, I mean there was that bit with me when I was back in the basement with…”

“Captain Killer FruitLoops,” Pip finished off for me making me laugh and as always bringing light to a usually dark situation.

“Yeah him. And then I got threatened by the Devil, but that’s not why I am crying.”

“Wow, if she ain’t wailing because of that then whatever she is crying about must be uber, uber bad, and I ain’t talking no taxi cabs!” Pip said to Sophia making me laugh again, this time one that ended in a little snort.

“No, I am crying because I love you guys so much!” I said on another sob, making them both first look shocked and then relieved. I turned first to Sophia and pulled her in for a separate hug, telling her,

“I saw you that night, the one where you tried to convince Draven to come down to speak with me and ask me on a date. I heard everything you said and how much you tried to get him to understand that I was strong enough for your world. I heard…I heard you call me sister for the first time!” Again, I finished this sentence on another sob and I didn’t know what was wrong with me. It almost felt as though something inside me had snapped or broken free and I couldn’t get it contained again.

“Oh honey, you have always been my sister, since the day I first met you!”

“Yeah and lucky she only met you now, because no offence, but you were a raving, crazy ancient lady with a mean, killer resting bitch face back in the day before toothpaste and toilet roll!” Pip said referring of course to the Sophia in the past and one who tried to poison me.

“Well, I wouldn’t have tried to kill her if I had known who she was now, would I?” Sophia snapped letting me go and making me giggle before I launched myself at Pip before she could respond.

“Hey Ho, Toots…aww shucks don’t cry again…oh man,” she said as I started sniffing.

“You were there for me every step of the way, you led me out of my worst nightmares and freed me when no other came…I love you so much, Pip!” I said grabbing her to me again and hugging her tight.

“Of course, I was, I will always be there for you, after all, you’re my sister too…you both are,” Pip said adding this last part looking at Sophia and making her crumble. She joined us in our hug fest, showing me that no matter how much these two could bicker sometimes, that they loved each other no matter what.

“Keira!” The sound of my name being called had me freezing in their hold before they broke away leaving me to see Draven speeding towards us. I quickly found myself doing the same towards him, not knowing what had come over me, but suddenly feeling a desperation to be in his arms again. He looked surprised for a second before I flung myself into his body and burst into yet even more tears the second he wrapped me in his arms and held me tight.

“What the hell happened!?” he snapped and at first, I thought this had been at me, but then when I pulled back to look up at him I saw he was looking straight over my head at the girls.

“Okay, so we had a little…um…mishap,” Sophia said only to be barked at by her brother again.

“A fucking mishap, she is in floods of tears!”

“Ah well that, I think you will find it’s what they call baby hormones,” Pip interjected after raising her hand up like she was in class and about to address a really mean teacher.

“Hormones!?” Draven repeated, snapping in disbelief. It was now that I decided to intervene as I reached up and caressed his face, before telling him,

“It’s okay, I am fine, I just got myself a little worked up and over emotional when talking to the girls and thanking them for always being there for me. And then I saw you and I missed you, so I just ran and then…well, then I don’t know why but I started crying again because I love you so much!” I said as I tried not to sniffle but couldn’t help it as, for the reason Pip had said, it was like the flood gates had been opened and I couldn’t get myself together.

“Okay, okay, Ssshh my love…hey come on now, it’s alright sweetheart, I missed you too,” he said after his cooing just started to set off the waterworks more.

“Pp…please don’t…don’t be angry!” I stuttered through the tears.

“I am not angry, sweetheart,” he said, and I wasn’t convinced as he said this as if trying too hard at appearing calm. I knew now it was probably because he hated seeing me cry that had done it. So, I told him after sniffling,

“You look angry.” He took a deep breath, no doubt to aid in calming him further, again for my benefit, before saying,

“I was worried and angry that something could have happened to you, but now I am relieved to see you unharmed. My only concern is now for your tears my love, for I don’t relish seeing you so upset,” he said making me throw my arms up around his neck (with his help of course) and then I kissed him all over whilst still continuing to hiccup on the few tears here and there.

Needless to say, this wasn’t a pretty sight.

“If it helps My Lord, now I would say that they are at least tears of joy, as she has kinda talked about you none stop…hasn’t she Sophia?” Pip said nudging her partner in crime and making her give her brother a quick nod.

“Yeah, don’t get me wrong, I love you brother but even I was getting a little fed up of constantly being told how great you are,” Sophia said adding the cherry on top and before I could give her a hidden look to tell her I think she had gone too far, I felt Draven squeeze me tighter to him.

“Give us a moment,” Draven asked, this time in a far calmer tone, obviously now the immediate panic and worry he spoke of had passed. Sophia and Pip left us alone like he asked and went to sit at the low wall that had not long ago been my mental cage. Then Draven turned me to face him and he did this by taking my face in both his hands, so he could also tilt my face up.

“Are you alright, sweetheart?” he asked as he wiped the tears from under my eyes with his thumbs. I smiled up at him and then nodded for fear that my emotions would only get the better of me again if I spoke. Then he leant his forehead to mine and said,

“I was so worried.” I closed my eyes and told him softly,

“I am sorry, honey.” He took a deep breath as if letting my words flow over him and calm him further.

“I swear that tower is looking ever closer to playing an integral part of your future, darling,” he said making me chuckle before reaching up and telling him,

“Only if you’re there with me and we both throw away the key.” Then I kissed him, placing my hands on his face before throwing my arms around him. He wrapped both arms around me and lifted me so that our lips were level and then he really kissed me. I swear at one point I felt my toes curl like the witch in Wizard of Oz… minus the house falling on top of me, of course.

“By the gods Keira, only you can manage to go on an innocent day trip on Lock Ness and end up sinking the fucking boat,” he growled, which was a sound that spoke more of his growing arousal than of his frustration the sentence would suggest.

“Technically, Nessie sank the ship, that and a sugar rush from too many Lucky charms,” I informed him making him first look at me as if I was going to follow up that statement with a little more info so that he would understand better. But then when he didn’t get it, he just ended up shaking his head at me.

“I knew there wasn’t a movie with Nazis, chickens and monsters in it,” he said looking far too sure of himself, which made me realise something funny.

“Oh my God, you googled it, didn’t you?!” I shouted on a laugh when he put me back down. I watched as his lips twitched before one side tipped up, making him smirk.

“I might have,” he replied this time trying to hide his grin.

“So, you know it’s about a giant…” I let my sentence linger before he grinned this time and said,

“Yes love, I know it’s about a shark.” This made me squeal with joy for some reason, as I could just imagine Draven stood there pacing the room on his phone, asking his google assistant if the movie Jaws had chickens, monsters and Nazis in it! I swear I would have paid good money to have seen his face when google answered him. Of course, now all I could think about was the first chance I got, I was asking my phone the very same question, just to see what it would have told him.

“Right, then it’s decided…!” I shouted looking over my shoulder so that the girls could hear me as well, after first getting their attention.

“And what’s that, my little trouble maker?” Draven asked in that pretend stern voice adding to it his folded arms. I was momentarily stunned when looking at him and how much that look would, at one time, have intimidated the shit out of me!

This thought had me revisiting my second vision for a moment and wondering what my reaction to such a sight would have been had he come down the stairs that night. Had he just walked straight up to me before pulling me to one side so that he could speak with me. Then, as I tried to make sense of what he was saying, asking me out on a date, he would silence my concerns with a gentle kiss on the cheek. This may have seemed like a small gesture now but back then something like that would have been huge!

To find out that the man you were still obsessing over and had shortly before this point pushed you away, now wanted you. Having him tell you something like he was sorry and ask if I would give him the opportunity to explain before then sealing his words with a stolen kiss. Oh yeah, now that would have been a memory worth watching, another one treasured like the thousand after it he had given me.

But now, being that he was my Draven, I just poked fun at him in the form of my fingers trying to pinch his belly before declaring,

“Movie night tonight, and first on the list is Jaws!” I heard Pip’s squeal of delight at the same time I heard Sophia’s groan of disappointment.

“Do you not think we have seen enough water, boats and them sinking for one day?” she asked, making me and Pip chuckle. Draven however agreed with his sister,

“Enough indeed.”

“Oh, come on, it will be fun, plus Pip is up for it,” I said looking from Draven to the girls.

“Pip would be up for an enema if you told her it would be fun,” Sophia commented drily making Pip stick out her tongue at her.

“Well, from the looks of it I won’t be doing anything fun, because my hubba bubba will have me locked up for the rest of the night…look how twisted his panties look,” she said on seeing Adam running over the hill towards her, looking even more panicked than Draven had. I looked back to the man of my dreams, who then told us,

“I called him.” This made Pip groan before she too went off running, shouting behind her,

“Wish me a lucky screw!” Then we watched and as she was just about to jump on she said,

“Honey, we owe someone a new boat!” Then she landed in Adam’s arms before knocking him onto his back and attacking his face with kisses.

“Damn it!” Sophia moaned.

“What is it?” I asked as she watched her own husband come dashing up the hill.

“Now he will definitely let her watch Jaws,” she said making me laugh before she, like us all, went running off to join her husband, only with more hugging and less attacking involved.

“How did you know about the boat?” I asked Draven, realising now that we hadn’t said anything.

“I rang Adam and he told me what adventures you ladies had decided on for the day.”

“And?” I asked knowing there was more.

“And let’s just say I put two and two together and it equalled to three girls in trouble on a boat, that sounded as if it was sinking when I rang.” Yeah okay, so I could see how he would come to that conclusion.

“So, you came running?” I asked figuratively speaking.

“No, I flew.” I gave him a look of surprise and got up on tiptoes trying to see if I could spot the helicopter anywhere.

“Where did you land?”

“Right over there, but you were too busy hugging females to notice,” he said with a grin making me roll my eyes.

“Well, I don’t see anything, where did you park?” I asked wondering if he’d had to put some coins in the parking machine to get out a ticket. I giggled to myself at the thought of a helicopter sat in the car park with a sticker on its windshield.

But then he popped this bubble when he chuckled.

“Sweetheart, I have wings remember?” he whispered, leaning down into me and pulling me closer to him.

“Oh, that type of flying.” I mused playing now with the neck of the black t-shirt he wore beneath his khaki military style jacket, one that had a high neck and what looked to be double layered with a warmer black lining.

“Why did you do that?” I then asked wondering why I even thought of Draven having to hire a helicopter in the first place. I think sometimes I forgot that he flew, as it had been quite some time since I had been in his arms when he was doing so. Not that this was something I wanted to change anytime soon, not considering I was terrified of heights and was now pregnant to add to it. I didn’t think that flying and morning sickness really made for a good combo…not for Draven or the poor souls below that thought they felt rain that day…eww.

He moved closer to me, giving me that ‘I am a dominant male’ look, that had me nearly backing up a step whilst also wanting to rub myself up and down his hard-intimidating body like a damn cat…boy, talk about mixed emotions!

“Because, wife of mine, for all I knew you were treading water in the middle of a fucking lake, freezing to death or worse, sinking with the fucking ship! So, I wasn’t about to calmly get in my car and drive over an hour to get here to see if either of those two scenarios had come to fruition…that is why.” Once he had finished he was all but growling down at me as if both of these horrible thoughts had come back to the centre of his attention and now he was pissed off again.

“Well, lucky for you I completed all my swimming courses as a kid, have all my patches to prove it and can easily retrieve a heavy weight from the bottom of a pool wearing my pyjamas, whilst holding my breath…so I think we are good,” I said patting him on the chest in a way that I hoped was taken as more cute than patronising.

At first, I couldn’t tell if this was the case as he seemed to be at a loss for a moment as to what I had said could mean. Well, it was that or he was still processing it all. I knew it was the latter when he asked,

“Why did they make you do that wearing pyjamas and then give you a patch for it?” I started giggling before telling him,

“Never mind babe, I will explain on the way home…let’s just say for now that I am a good swimmer and move on.”

“I agree…so kiss me,” he said seriously.

“Not that I usually need a reason, but I have to ask, why?” To this he suddenly picked me up making me squeal in shock before he yanked me to him. I felt the heat of his dominant hold seep through my damp clothes and I wished that I could have felt his fingertips pressing into my bare skin. I gripped onto him, silently telling him never to let me go, for this was where I wanted to be…

Right here, forever in his hold.

Then he growled a sexy whisper down at me, being the perfect reason why, just before he crushed his lips to mine in a mind-blowing kiss. Thus, letting me know I had achieved what I set out to with my swimming comment…

“Because you’re so fucking cute!”
