Ryder: (A Gritty Bad Boy MC Romance) (The Lost Breed MC Book 1) by Ali Parker (137)

* * *

She was amazing. Simply amazing. He didn't know if he'd ever find another woman who pleased him like Janna did. He'd settled her into a warm bath, where she was currently sighing in contentment. Stripping off his clothing he slipped in behind her, positioning her between his legs. Brice reached for the washcloth and soap, then worked the lather over her shoulders and down her back.

"Mmmm..." Janna leaned against him as he worked his way around to the front. He spent several minutes on her breasts until she was moaning loudly and her pretty pink nipples were standing up proud and true. He moved the cloth down to her sensitive womanhood, where he taunted and teased until she shivered against him in orgasm. His cock was now hard and raging, and he slid it back and forth along the crack of her bottom. The water sloshed around them as he clutched her to him, licking up the side of her neck and nibbling her earlobe until she moaned again.

Janna pulled away with a ragged breath and turned herself around, straddling his thighs and rubbing her hot wet sex against his hungry erection. She pressed herself against him, her nipples hard points against his chest. Brice barely got the condom out of his pocket and onto his cock before he spread her open and pierced her silken warmth. She rode him to another climax that left them both panting and exhausted.

When they finally made it out of the tub, they climbed into the large and comfortable bed. Janna burrowed under the covers, turning onto her side to face him. Brice pulled her against him but was content to hold her and stroke her gently.

"I hope you consider our bet paid off," she teased.

"Unless it will get me another night like this one."

She rolled her eyes and darted in, biting his lower lip.

"Ow! It's more than paid!" Brice smiled, loving her irreverent sense of humor. He stared into her eyes, blue like a cloudless day, and felt an odd pulling inside him. The night had to end, and the weekend as well, and then he wouldn't have this wonderful woman next to him, in a bed that had grown too large, too cold. Too empty. He didn't want it to end, didn't want to sleep alone anymore. And he hoped like hell that she felt the same way.

"I've got another meeting tomorrow," he said, pulling her hands into his and bringing a finger up to his mouth to nibble playfully. "But I thought we could have dinner together after, maybe spend another night here? Then we could ride home together on Sunday."

Janna's look remained impassive. "Well, I dunno..." she drawled, squinting her eyes as if she was carefully considering things. His heart beat skipped for a moment, unsure whether she was serious. "I've got a fair amount of grading to do. And I'd hate to interfere with your business interests..."
"You could grade here in the suite tomorrow while I'm gone. And you wouldn't be interfering. Negotiations for this deal have gone on long enough. By tomorrow evening, you'd have me all to yourself."
"Hmm...that kind of talk could encourage a girl to get greedy. Besides, I was thinking of taking Alex up on his offer tomorrow, so that should keep me occupied while you're busy."

Brice's breath suddenly felt lodged in his chest. "What offer?" he asked, his voice sounding calmer than he felt.

"He said he would show me the ropes of mingling in high society. I figured if you were serious about what you said, about me being your...girlfriend...well, then I'd better learn how to behave in polite company."
Brice couldn't believe what he was hearing. Janna didn't need any training in how to behave. She was one of the most polished and urbane women he'd ever met. Had Alex tried to convince her otherwise?

"Janna, that's ridiculous. You don't need any lessons in deportment. Especially from Alexander Drake."

"What's that supposed to mean?"

"There's nothing wrong with your behavior. Alex was probably trying to mess with your head. Better to stay away from him."

"You think he wasn't sincere? I thought it was very nice of him to offer."
"There's nothing
nice about Alex Drake. And he's rarely sincere unless it's when he's trying to sincerely fuck me over."

She frowned. "How would doing a favor for me be fucking you over? I thought Alex was very charming, and we've got some similarities, one of which is being outsiders to your world."
"Alex should stay outside if you ask me."

Janna pulled away, a flash of anger illuminating her eyes. "And should I stay outside too? Neither of us is good enough to belong to the Old Money Club? You wouldn't be the first to say so tonight."
"That's not what I'm saying!" Anger charged up inside him. Who had made Janna feel like she didn't belong? Probably Drake, in his attempt to manipulate her with the goal of hurting Brice in the long run.

He clutched her arms, his grip tighter than he realized. "That bastard! He's putting all sorts of stupid ideas in your head. Stay away from him!"

"Stupid? I'm being stupid because I don't feel welcome in such rarified company? And who do you think you are, ordering me to stay away from someone?"

"He's toying with you, using you to get to me. He's not someone you should be associating with."
"I can't believe this conversation," she said with a gasp of rage. Pulling herself out of his grip she slid across the bed and stood up, wrapping the blanket around her. "First of all, you don't get to say who I spend time with. You don't own me. Secondly, this is exactly the problem. You belong to some weird social tier that doesn't easily welcome outsiders. And I feel uncomfortable accompanying you to events, afraid that I'll embarrass you or...bring shame on your house, or some other antiquated emotion that should have been banished by this day and age but isn't. Your wealth makes you different. And I don't know how to...handle these types of events. It makes me feel insecure."
Brice crawled across the bed and sat, pulling her into the space between his knees. "You don't need to feel insecure, sweetheart. I thought you had a good time tonight."
"I had a good time with you, but it was obvious that I wore the wrong dress, and I didn't know what to say to you associates, and--"
He interrupted her skittish recital with a soft kiss pressed to her lips. "Shh...don't worry about those things. I don't care about any of that."
"You might not, but I do. I don't want to stand out, or embarrass you, or..."
"You could never embarrass me," he reassured her, but she still trembled against him.

"Please," she whispered, "let Alex show me some things. He said he had to learn how to blend in with high society himself, so he knows how hard it can be. Don't ruin this for me. I want to fit in; I want to--"
"Fine," Brice said through gritted teeth. "Let Drake show you the ropes. But be on your guard. And be back by six, so we can have dinner together."

"Deal," she said, lowering her face to his lips and claiming them in a slow, torturous kiss that had Brice's cock begging for attention. They didn't speak again, beyond satisfied moans, for the rest of the night.
