The Cabin (Cate & Kian Book 6) by Louise Hall (18)

Friday January 17th

As the car juddered to a halt, Cate realised that she must have fallen asleep. The driver came around to open her door and she quickly put her hat and gloves back on.

As she put her feet down on the ground, she felt a childish excitement at the sound of the fresh snow crunching underneath her heavy boots.

The air was so still, Cate stopped and looked around in amazement. It was the most perfect winter wonderland. The clearing they were in was bordered by tall, evergreen trees, their branches weighted down with pure, white snow.

As she turned around, she saw a cosy-looking A-frame wood cabin with smoke rising up from the chimney in soft puffs. It looked as though it belonged on the front of a so perfect it can’t possibly be real Christmas card.

Kian was stood on the raised front porch, watching her take it all in. He was dressed all in black: boots, jeans, wool coat and leather gloves. He’d tied his long, black hair in a low ponytail and he hadn’t shaved that day so his jaw was marked with blue-black stubble. Even after all these years, he still took her breath away.

Cate shivered a little but it wasn’t from the cold. She felt wet heat pool between her legs as she imagined the chill of the leather gloves and the rasp of his stubble against her over-sensitised skin. Darn, she really needed to get laid.

She heard the driver cough a little as he came back from putting her suitcase on the front porch of the cabin. She quickly shook her head. Kian had made such an effort to organise this romantic weekend away; she should really take a moment to appreciate the beautiful scenery before she jumped him on the front porch.

“I love it,” she grinned, taking great delight in stomping her boots through the fresh snow.

She heard the rumble of the engine as the SUV backed away from the cabin and then disappeared out of sight, leaving the two of them alone.

“I thought you might,” Kian smirked.

Cate stopped a few steps down from where he was stood. He looked far too smug, as if he knew that her tummy was doing so many consecutive back-flips it could qualify for the Olympics. He’d always liked teasing her.

She skipped back down to the bottom and knelt down, pretending that she needed to retie her bootlaces but actually she scrunched together a large ball of snow. Catching him unawares, she scored a direct hit in the centre of his chest, snow spraying out across his black, wool coat.

“It’s like that, is it?” Kian raised an eyebrow. He took a couple of steps down towards Cate.

“I’m not worried,” Cate insisted, although she did take several steps backwards.

“You sure about that?” Kian asked. “I did used to be a professional athlete.”

He’d reached the bottom and knelt down to make a large snowball. Cate dashed across the thick snow drifts at the side of the cabin.

“It’s not like you were a goalkeeper though,” Cate teased. “You’re not that good with your hands.”

“Is that right?” Kian chuckled, advancing towards Cate.

As Cate bent down to gather more ammunition, Kian’s snowball skimmed the top of her head, sending ice-cold droplets of water down the back of her neck.

“Hey.”

“Do you surrender, angel?” Kian asked, calmly smoothing his hands villain-like over a large ball of snow. She was so sex-deprived that her skin prickled as if those sinful leather-clad hands were moving across her bare skin.

There was a slight rasp to his voice which betrayed that he wasn’t just talking about their snowball fight. Cate gulped. Her tummy did yet another monumental back-flip.

“Never,” Cate said. Her voice came out much more breathy than she’d have liked.

As Kian chased her through the snow, Cate managed to hit his knees and shoulders.

“Gotcha,” Kian grabbed the backs of her knees, sending her tumbling backwards into a large snowdrift.

“Hey, that’s cheating,” Cate insisted as he came down on top of her, his hard, masculine body pressing her deep into the snow.

Kian softly kissed the corners of her mouth, “do you like your surprise, angel?”

“It’s perfect. Thank you.” While Kian was distracted, tracing his tongue over her plump bottom lip, Cate grabbed a handful of snow and shoved it down the back of his wool coat.

“Fuck, that’s cold,” Kian grimaced, rubbing at the back of his neck.

Cate scrambled out from underneath him, jumped to her feet and ran towards the cabin. She heard Kian’s footsteps gaining on her. “Barley,” she said, when she reached the top. She wrapped her arms around one of the wooden posts on the front porch.

“Nope,” Kian shook his head. He swiped a handful of snow from the wooden railing and tugged off her woollen hat. “There’s no such thing.” He dumped the snow on top of her head, where it quickly melted and trickled down her face.

“You don’t play fair,” Cate scowled.

“Come on,” Kian grinned, throwing her over his shoulder, “let’s get you inside.”

Kian carried her inside the cabin and kicked the front door shut behind them. When she was back on her feet, Cate looked around at the inside of the cabin. It was lovely and cosy. There was a big, squashy brown leather sofa in front of a crackling log fire. The shelf underneath the wooden coffee table had lots of well-used board games.

Although she had to admit that she could have done without the deer’s head mounted on the wall.

“Do you want me to give you a tour?” Kian asked.

“Mm,” Cate nodded, wiping a trail of melted snow from her flushed cheek.

There were really only four rooms. The lounge and open-plan kitchen were at the front of the cabin and the bathroom was at the back. Kian had stopped at the supermarket on his drive up earlier that day so the cupboards and refrigerator were stocked with everything they would need for the weekend. The bedroom was upstairs on the mezzanine.

“How did you find this place?” Cate asked. It felt more like somebody’s holiday home than a rental.

“It’s Julian’s,” Kian explained.

“Ew,” Cate had been trailing her fingers over the super-soft red and black chequered bedspread but quickly recoiled. “He doesn’t bring his “flavours of the month” up here, does he?”

Kian chuckled, “knowing Julian, do you really think he’d drive all the way up here just so that he could hook up with somebody?”

Cate relaxed a little, “I guess not. Although, maybe if it was Anna?”

Kian frowned, “please don’t tell me that Julian has been putting the moves on my assistant?”

Cate laughed, “putting the moves on. Who even says that anymore?”

“Cate!” Kian warned.

“Fine. I don’t think he’s been putting the moves on as such. As far as I know it only happened the once when Anna first moved here. When I talked to her last week, she seemed fairly resolute that it wasn’t going to happen again but there’s a definite chemistry between the two of them so who knows?”

“Hey, you asked,” Cate giggled, when she saw Kian frown. “Why does it bug you so much anyway?”

“Because she’s like a leprechaun riding a unicorn…”

“I bet she’d just love being described as a leprechaun.”

Kian put his fingers to her lips. “Yeah well it doesn’t matter whether she’d like it or not because you’re not going to tell her. Anna is… She’s like one of those things that you hear talked about but you don’t think actually exist in real life. She’s great at her job and both you and Erin like her.”

“We’re not ogres, you know?” Cate folded her arms across her chest.

“So you didn’t volunteer to help out at the office that day because you wanted to spy on the potential candidates and report back to Erin, huh?”

Cate didn’t say anything and Kian smirked, knowing that she was so busted.

“You know how much I love it when you get jealous, angel.”

“Shut up,” Cate frowned. “I still don’t get why you’re so against her and Julian?”

“Julian isn’t exactly Mr Commitment.”

“Neither were you when we first got together. People change”

Kian hauled her up against him, “I had a reason to change, angel. I had you.”

“Maybe Anna could be Julian’s reason?”

“Maybe?” Kian shook his head. “I guess I just don’t want to see her get her heart broken again.”

“You see,” Cate giggled. “You try to be this big, tough Neanderthal but inside you’ve got a heart the size of Texas.”

“There’s something big about me,” Kian moved his hips a little so she was left in no doubt as to what he meant, “but I don’t think it’s my heart.”

“Mm,” Cate took a step back. She pressed the backs of her cool hands against her flushed cheeks, “I disagree.”

Kian raised an eyebrow, “oh yeah?”

“Not about that!” Cate blushed. “I meant the size of your heart. You’re a good man, Kian.”

“If you think so, that’s all that matters.” Kian lifted her suitcase up on to the bed. “I don’t think Julian uses the cabin much to be honest. I think he keeps it more for sentimental reasons than anything else. His dad used to come up here on hunting trips.”

The fire had begun to waver in the fireplace downstairs. “I’m going to get some more wood from the store,” Kian said. “Why don’t you have a hot shower to warm up?”

At first when she opened her suitcase, she was disappointed that Kian had packed a pair of comfy, flannel pyjamas for her to wear in bed instead of one of the sets of skimpy lingerie she owned. Flannel pyjamas didn’t exactly scream dirty weekend away, did they?

“Ugh,” she shivered as more melted snow trickled down the back of her neck. Kian was probably right, barely-there satin and lace weren’t exactly practical for this weather, even with the warmth from the crackling log fire.

After a gorgeous hot shower, which chased away any lingering chills from their snowball fight, Cate put on her not-sexy flannel pyjamas and fluffy socks. It might not be sexy but it was still kind of romantic that Kian had remembered to pack her fluffy socks since her feet got cold even in the middle of summer.

Kian had just finished bringing in the logs. “Feeling better?” he asked.

Cate nodded, “that shower is so amazing. I want to marry it and have it’s babies.”

Kian laughed, “I think I might need to go in there and have words with that shower if it’s trying to steal my girl.”

Cate reached up and held his face in her hands, “never…Oh my goodness, you’re freezing.”

Kian removed her hands from his face and kissed her palms. “I’m going to grab a quick shower and I’ll be right back.”

While Kian was in the shower, Cate rooted around in the small kitchen and found the ingredients to make hot chocolate. When Kian emerged from the bathroom in a pair of black sweatpants and a dark-grey t-shirt, Cate was just pouring the rich, hot chocolate into two mismatched mugs. “That smells delicious, angel.”

They curled up on the sofa in front of the fire and quietly sipped their hot chocolates. As much as she enjoyed the burning-hot passion which, OK had been a little bit lacking recently, but usually made them want to rip each other’s clothes off, she also liked this quiet stillness. They were comfortable enough in their relationship that they didn’t need to talk just so that they could fill up the silence. It was OK if they just sat there and listened to the logs gently crackling in the fireplace.

Kian pulled her socked feet up on to his lap and gently massaged her insteps. “Mm,” Cate whimpered a little, “you’re too good at that.”

Kian chuckled, “I thought you said I wasn’t good with my hands.”

After she’d finished her hot chocolate, Cate snuggled down into the lovely, squashy sofa and watched the flames dipping and dancing in the fireplace. With Kian still gently rubbing her feet, she felt her eyelids begin to droop closed.

Kian watched in amusement as Cate tried really hard to stay awake. Her eyes would gently drift closed, her long, black eyelashes fanning out across her cheeks and then every so often, she’d jerk awake again.

“It’s OK if you’re tired, angel,” Kian reassured her after the sixth or seventh time it had happened. He reached for her hand and tugged her up to sitting. “Do you want to go to bed?”

Cate shook her head. “I’m not sleepy.” Kian chuckled when she couldn’t stifle another yawn.

“Come here.” He positioned her with her head in his lap and then draped the blanket over her.

She was so cross with herself. Kian had planned this lovely romantic getaway for them and she couldn’t keep her eyes open long enough to enjoy it.

“I’m sorry,” she pouted. “I’m sure if I have a little nap, I’ll be fine.”

“Hush,” Kian rubbed his thumb over her soft, cushiony lips. “You’ve got nothing to be sorry for, angel.”

He stroked his fingers through her glossy, black hair. “Mm,” Cate sighed contentedly. She loved the feel of his short fingernails gently scratching her scalp.

While Cate dozed peacefully, Kian studied one of the reports Anna had handed him as he’d left the office that morning. It was background research on one of the start-ups he and Ben, were considering investing in. The proposal had definitely sparked his interest but he jotted down a couple of things he wanted to follow up on before they made the final decision.

After he’d read through the report a couple more times, making sure he hadn’t missed anything important, his eyes felt tired and heavy. He looked down at his all-time favourite sight, his wife, with her head in his lap. She often talked in her sleep and he watched those perfect, pink lips move, although he couldn’t make out any of the words.

The blanket had slipped down to her waist. As he reached down to pull it back up again, his attention was drawn to the v of her nightshirt. It had parted a little to reveal the gentle curve of her bare breast. Kian had to really fight the urge to slip his hand down the front of her shirt. He realised that he couldn’t remember the last time he’d touched his wife’s bare breasts. His fingers itched to caress the puckered skin around her nipple, drawing it out to a sharp peak.

As if she could sense the war raging inside him, Cate opened her eyes, “Kian?” It took her a minute to work out where she was.

“Come on,” Kian lifted her up slightly so that he could stand up. “Let’s get you to bed, sleepyhead.”

“No,” Cate wriggled away from him when he tried to pick her up. “I’m OK. I want to stay here.”

She pushed herself back against the arm of the sofa. She didn’t like it when he called her anything apart from “angel.” “I don’t get it,” Cate shook her head, a strand of inky-black hair falling over her face.

“What’s wrong?” Kian asked. He sat down on the coffee table in front of her.

“I thought you brought me here so that we could have a romantic weekend away but then you packed these for me to wear.” Cate gestured to her flannel pyjamas and fluffy socks. “You haven’t even tried to touch me.”

She bit her lip and looked away from Kian at the log fire. “I know I’m not eighteen anymore. I’ve had three children.” She unconsciously rubbed at the small scar which still marked her abdomen from the emergency C-section she’d had to have when she’d given birth to Lola. “Don’t you find me attractive anymore?”

“Look at me, angel,” Kian gripped her chin in his hand and turned her around to face him. “I’m fucking glad that you’re not eighteen anymore. Our eldest daughter is a teenager so that would be really inappropriate.”

Cate scowled, “don’t make fun of me, Kian.”

She knelt up on the sofa and gestured to her oversized pyjamas and fluffy socks. “I’ve got a drawer full of silky lingerie and yet you packed this for our romantic getaway.”

“You know,” Kian gripped her nape, “the only thing I care about what you’re wearing is that it isn’t too difficult to take off. I don’t give a shit whether you’re dressed up in fancy lingerie or one of my t-shirts and a pair of boxer shorts. It’s all just wrapping paper that gets ripped open and then discarded, the real present is what’s underneath, it’s you.”

Cate melted a little. It wasn’t exactly poetry but it worked.

Kian pushed down the front of his sweatpants, exposing his thick, jutting cock. “Do you see this?” He reached for her delicate hand and gently wrapped it around the base. “Can you feel how hard I am?”

“Yes,” Cate choked. His hot, male flesh seared her palm.

Kian trailed his lips along her jawbone to that spot just below her ear. “It’s like that for you. It doesn’t matter whether you’re wearing flannel or satin and lace.”

Kian hissed as Cate rubbed her thumb over the damp tip of his cock. He reached up and slowly unbuttoned the front of her nightshirt. It fell open, teasing him with a shadowy glimpse of her soft flesh.

Kian pushed her nightshirt down over one shoulder, exposing the teardrop-shaped breast he’d salivated about just a few minutes before. How the fuck had he gone so long without seeing such beauty? Her dusky-pink nipple unfurled under his lust-filled gaze.

Kian slid his hands inside her nightshirt, flattening his palms against the warmth of her back, holding her steady. She arched towards him, like a plant curving upwards towards the sun. He dragged his hot, velvety tongue up and over her taut nipple, forcing a hoarse cry from the depths of her throat.

“You really thought I didn’t fancy you anymore?” Kian asked incredulously. His voice skittered across her goose bump riddled flesh, drawing her exposed nipple even tighter.

He sucked her breast into his mouth, lashing his tongue repeatedly against her tender, aching nipple.

She ripped out the band he’d used to tie his hair back and raked her fingers through his silky, black hair, holding him hostage against her breast.

He was so fucking close; it was with great regret that he had to remove her hand from around his rigid cock. Cate looked up at him, disappointment clouding her big, black eyes. “I might not be a gentleman in most regards but I’m not going to come on your hand, angel.”

“I want you to,” Cate pouted. “I need you to.”

“You need me to, huh?” Kian had a wicked glint in his eye. “Show me just how much you need it and I might reconsider.”

“Show you?” Cate blinked. “How?”

Kian teased her pyjama pants down to her knees. She wasn’t wearing any panties. His eyes were drawn to the strip of black hair between her legs.

“I want to watch you touch yourself,” Kian said gruffly.

Cate blushed. They’d never done this before.

The raging fire in his dark eyes gave her confidence. She danced her fingertips down over the swell of her breast, the soft skin on her tummy and deeper to the whorls of black hair between her legs.

“Are you wet?” Kian asked, gently nipping her earlobe. His erection brushed tantalisingly against her hip.

“Mm,” Cate nodded.

“Stroke your clit,” Kian instructed.

Cate did as she was told, feeling the tender nub of tissue swell and harden beneath her fingers.

“It feels good, doesn’t it?”

“Yes,” Cate whimpered.

Kian brushed her hair to one side and kissed down the side of her neck.

“Please,” Cate begged. “I can’t. I need you.”

“You’re going to make yourself come, angel.” He could feel her already shivering with lust.

Wanting to please him, Cate eased two fingers inside her hot, wet channel.

“That’s it,” Kian took a step back so he could see everything that she was doing.

As she thrust her fingers in and out of her soft, wet pussy, her hips rocked back and forth. Kian brushed a damp tendril of hair away from her face. “You’re thinking about me, aren’t you, angel?”

“Yes,” Cate cried breathily. She was teetering on the brink of climax.

“You’re pretending that it’s my hand stroking between your legs.”

Cate stilled. “Oh,” she cried out. The sound echoed through every crevice of the quiet cabin. Kian gathered her in his arms, letting her ride out the last waves of her climax before he dragged her hand from between her legs. He brought her hand up to his mouth and she watched still a little dazed as he lapped at her soaked fingers, removing every last drop of her sweetness from her skin. As he slid the last of her fingers out of his mouth, he allowed his teeth to graze the pad of her finger.

“Did I show you?” Cate asked, her voice was still a little husky.

She clambered down off the sofa and kicked off her pyjama bottoms which were tangled up around her ankles.

Before Kian could respond, she’d pushed him down so he was sat on the coffee table. He jumped a little as his bare ass met the cold surface.

Kian tugged her forward and pressed a kiss against the sensitive skin just underneath her belly button.

“No,” Cate shook her head. She dropped to her knees in front of him. “I think you’ll find that it’s my turn.”

She put her hands on his thighs and pushed them far enough apart that she could wriggle between them.

She wrapped her hand around the base of his cock, squeezing him just how he liked it. “Fuck,” Kian grunted as she dipped her head and dragged her tongue achingly slowly up the underside of his shaft. She kept those gorgeous black eyes on him the whole time.

He watched as she sucked the head of his cock into her warm, wet mouth. Her tongue poked and prodded at the slit, encouraging more pre-release to spill out.

As she slid him deeper, feeling him kiss the back of her throat, she closed her eyes and hummed with delight.

Kian reached down and cupped the gentle swell of her breast, his thumb flicking back and forth across her taut nipple.

He tangled up his other hand in her inky-black hair. As he tugged her head back, she opened her eyes and looked up at him. “You’re not just a toy for me, angel,” Kian said hotly.

Cate let the tip of his cock slip momentarily from her lips. “I know,” she looked up at him, her big, black eyes shining with honesty. “I’m doing this because I want to. I promise.”

As she resumed worshipping his painfully-engorged cock with her mouth and fingers, Kian tugged on her erect nipples. “Stop,” Cate frowned. “I can’t think when you do that.”

Kian chuckled, “is that supposed to discourage me?”

“Fuck,” Kian grunted again as she used her free hand to massage his leaden balls, applying just the right amount of pressure. He gripped the edge of the coffee table with both hands so he wouldn’t be tempted to grip the back of her head and thrust upwards into the nirvana of her warm, wet mouth.

Kian felt the warmth begin to spread out from the base of his spine. “Cate, I’m going to…”

Cate looked up at him, her big, black eyes sparkling. She continued teasing and tormenting him with her wicked tongue until he couldn’t last even a millisecond longer. He buried his hands in the depths of her glossy, black hair as his hips jerked raggedly, his hot arousal filling her mouth. She swallowed and it felt fucking incredible against the sensitive tip of his cock.

When she’d literally sucked him dry, she sat back on her heels and wiped her swollen lips with the back of her hand.

He definitely had a point about the whole no-clothes thing. Cate had always thought that he looked just as sexy when he was all dressed up in one of his custom-made Italian suits as he did when he was just lazing around the house in sweatpants and a t-shirt with a hole in the collar. But there were simply no words to describe seeing him like this, bare-ass naked, completely and utterly undone by her lips and tongue.

Kian bent forward with his elbows on his knees as he tried to get his breath back. “Just give me a minute,” he said, holding up a hand when Cate started to say something.

Cate laughed, “I forget sometimes that you’re older than me and so you need a little more time to recover.”

“Is that right?” Kian raised an eyebrow. He had that wicked glint in his dark eyes again and Cate knew that she was in trouble. She felt the excitement and anticipation of what he might do ripple over her exposed flesh.

Kian worked so many late nights that they definitely didn’t get to play like this very often. Unless they wanted to risk racking up some hefty therapy bills in the future, it was almost impossible with the children in the house.

“What are you going to do to me?” she giggled as she ran upstairs to the bedroom and around the side of the bed. “Barley.”

Kian prowled into the bedroom after her, completely naked – he’d discarded his sweatpants in the lounge. “I think we established earlier that there’s no such thing.”

As he stalked around the side of the bed towards her, Cate clambered up on to the mattress. She wasn’t trying too hard to escape from him. Kian easily hooked an arm around the backs of her legs, sending her crashing down on to the mattress. “What are you going to do?” Cate asked again.

Kian flipped her over on to her front and tugged off her nightshirt so she was fully bared to him. “I’ve got a few ideas,” he teased, tracing the curve of her pert bottom.

Cate glanced over her shoulder, biting seductively on her bottom lip. “Are you going to spank me?”

Kian lifted her up as if she was weightless, positioning her across his lap. She could feel his cock, already hardening again, against her stomach. He smoothed his hand over her round bottom. His wife’s ass was one of the sexiest things he’d ever fucking seen.

Cate brushed her hair away from her face, her eyes were already smoky with arousal.

Kian pressed his hand firmly against the small of her back, keeping her still. The anticipation was almost too much; her toes were already curling against the mattress.

She closed her eyes, savouring the cool air as he raised his hand and then brought it down hard on her ass cheek. The momentary flicker of pain quickly transformed into something else as his skilful fingers teased and manipulated her warmed flesh. She wriggled against his lap, trying to ease the relentless ache between her legs.

He spanked her twice more on the same buttock. It was just the right side of pleasure/pain. Her pussy felt so empty but she knew he hadn’t finished with her just yet.

Kian looked down at her tender flesh, her pale skin tinged dark pink. He dipped his large hand between her legs. “You’re drenched, angel.”

“I can’t believe,” Cate said breathlessly, “that you’re surprised.”

He spanked her other buttock and it was so good, it felt like lots of tiny fireworks were breaking out beneath her skin. As she wriggled, her nipples dragged deliciously against the cotton sheets. Kian eased two fingers inside her.

Cate looked up at him, “if you do that, I’m going to…”

Kian chuckled. “You don’t want to come, angel?”

Cate shook her head, “not like this. I want you inside me.”

“You’re very demanding tonight.” Kian spanked her again and then pressed his hand against her warm flesh.

“One more, angel,” Kian raised his hand. Cate took a deep breath. She knew that he always made sure that the last one was the hardest. She tried to relax her buttocks, to transcend the raw heat which was already prickling her skin there. She found that if, instead of trying to fight the pain, she embraced it, the pleasure that flooded in afterwards was so much more exquisite.

As his hand came down, a huge chunk of snow from the roof of the cabin crashed down on to the decking beneath the bedroom window. It was so loud and sudden that it made Kian jump. He spanked her so much harder than he’d ever intended, her hips bounced up off his lap.

“Ow,” Cate yelped. The butt cheek he’d just spanked was really freaking sore.

“Come here,” Kian lifted her up so she was straddling his lap. His cock nestled between them.

He noticed that her eyes were a little glassy. “Fuck, I’m so sorry. Did I hurt you, angel?”

“My bottom’s just a little sore, that’s all,” Cate shrugged. “It’s nothing I can’t handle.”

Kian reached across to the nightstand and pulled open the top drawer. He unscrewed the cap off a tube of cream. “What’s that?” Cate asked. “Is it lube?”

Kian rolled his eyes, “such a dirty mind.” Cate blushed. Kian stroked his hands gently over her sore buttocks, massaging the cool cream into her tender flesh. “I’m sorry, angel. This should reduce the swelling and it’s got pain relief.”

“Hey,” Cate framed his face with her hands. His burgeoning stubble felt lovely and scratchy against her fingers. She tilted his head back so his eyes met hers. “You didn’t do anything to me tonight that I didn’t want you to, OK?”

To prove her point, she lifted herself up so she was kneeling and wrapped her hand around the base of Kian’s rigid cock. She rubbed the swollen head between the lips of her soaked pussy.

“Cate,” Kian hissed.

“Mm,” she asked innocently, as if she had no idea what feeling her soft, wet pussy rub up against his cock was doing to him.

Kian laid her down on her back and she tried really hard not to wince as her sore bottom rubbed against the sheets. He must have sensed her discomfort anyway because he sat back on his heels and lifted her legs up around his neck. Her body was positioned so only her shoulders were still on the mattress. Kian slowly worked his rigid cock inside her pussy. “So fucking tight,” he grunted, sweat dripping down his forehead. With his jet-black hair hanging loose, he looked like a wild animal.

As he leaned forward, pushing her legs up against her chest, Cate fisted the sheets. He felt so deep like that. He began to thrust but even in the throes of passion, he never forgot to make sure that her bottom didn’t touch the mattress.

“Stop,” Cate pressed a hand against the centre of his chest.

Ever the gentleman, Kian stilled immediately.

“I don’t like this,” Cate whimpered. Before she could say anything else, Kian pulled out, careful not to hurt her.

“No,” Cate shook her head, realising that she hadn’t explained herself very well. “I mean I don’t like it when you’re so careful with me.”

Kian frowned, “you’re injured.”

“I’m not injured. I’ve got a slightly sore bottom, that’s all,” Cate insisted. She lay back on the mattress and reached for his hand. “I want you on top of me. I want you so close that I can feel you every time I breathe.”

Kian settled between her parted thighs, his cock already nudging at her entrance.

He still seemed a little reticent. Cate tried to lighten the mood with a little teasing. “If you’re not inside me in the next ten seconds, I might just have to divorce you.”

Kian flinched at the d-word. “Don’t even fucking joke about something like that.”

“I’m sorry,” Cate said softly. “I just really need you inside me. Please.”

Cate brushed her lips against his and slowly brought her legs up so they were bent at the sides of his hips, her feet planted firmly on the mattress. She couldn’t have made her intentions any clearer if she’d thrown a big, scratchy “welcome home” mat between her thighs.

Kian gripped her hips with his large hands and pushed inside her again.

“Yes,” Cate cried out, her breasts rubbing against the hard planes of his chest.

As he began to thrust, she raised her hips to meet him, quickly finding their own unique rhythm. “This is what I want. This is always what I want.”

Kian grabbed her wrists, pinning them to the mattress above her head. He claimed her mouth with his own, their tongues fighting and tangling together as he drove them both towards an earth-shattering climax. The bedhead slammed so hard into the bedroom wall, she half-expected the walls of the cabin to fall down around them, exposing them to the freezing-cold air outside.

“Cate,” he grunted, his hips bucking wildly against hers.

After they’d both climaxed, Cate pressed her face against his shoulder, her soft breath puffing out against his hot, damp skin.

“I fucking love you.” He tilted her head back so he could look into those entrancing, black eyes.

Cate giggled, “such a poet.”

Kian rolled over on to his back and grabbed the blankets from the end of the bed, covering them both. “I never promised you poetry, angel.”

When Cate tried to wriggle away from him, he tightened his arms around her waist and back. “Don’t you need to, um…?”

His semi-hard cock was still buried between her legs. She could feel the warmth of his release trickling down her thighs.

“Not yet,” Kian kissed her swollen lips. “I want to feel you like this for a little bit longer. It’s been a while.”

Cate was too exhausted to argue. She rested her head on his chest. His heartbeat slowly returned to normal against her cheek. She loved going to sleep listening to that familiar thump-thump. She pressed her lips against his hot skin.
