The Deal: A Billionaire and a Virgin Office Romance by Sarah J. Brooks (70)

  1. Chapter 6

Bella arrived at her father’s house at just a little before two in the morning. She felt pretty proud of herself for being there on time and not making her father worry. Her father was waiting up for her in the living room and working on something for work.

“How was your night?” Harrison said to Bella only briefly looking up from his project.

“It was great. We met some cute guys who are Harvard graduate students. Totally top notch keepers.” Bella said as she walked into her room.

“Did Elizabeth get back to her hotel room safely?” Harrison said loudly so Bella could hear from her room.

“I left her in the capable hands of Henry. He’s handsome as hell and a law school graduate student; I’m sure he will take great care of her.” Bella said as she poked her head out from her bedroom.

Harrison did not like the sound of this. The girls had just met these guys that night. There was no way to tell if they were who they said they were. This dude probably wasn’t even a Harvard student. Any guy could put on a Harvard t-shirt and say they went to the school.

“So you left Liz with this guy?” Harrison said as he walked into Bella’s room.

“Yes, Daddy. He’s a nice guy. She’ll have fun with him. Maybe even run off and marry the guy. Totally a good catch.” Bella seemed not to notice the high level of anxiety and worry that had come over Harrison by this point.

“How do you know he’s going to get her back to her room safely?” Harrison asked.

“I’m sure she is fine. She’s a responsible adult.”

“Alright. Well, maybe I’ll ask the hotel to go check on her and make sure she got in safe.”

“Yes, Daddy. Why don’t you do that? I’m going to sleep now.” Bella said as she started to fall asleep instantly after her head hit the pillow.

Harrison looked up the number to the hotel and first tried to call Liz’s room directly. There was no answer.

Then he called the front desk and asked for them to go check on her. They were reluctant but finally agreed to send someone to knock on the door. There was no answer.

Harrison wanted to drive over there and sit in her room and wait for her. He wanted to apologize for dismissing her advances earlier in the week. He certainly didn’t want Liz taking this guy back to her room out of spite because Harrison had made her feel bad.

He decided to go over to the hotel and just poke around and see if he could find Liz and this guy. Just to make sure she was alright, or so he told himself as he left his apartment and headed into town.

After arriving at the hotel, Harrison looked through the downstairs lobby area and each of the lounge bars, there was no sign of Liz anywhere. He decided to head up to the room and see if she had arrived.

The hotel elevator door opened, and Harrison walked down the long hallway of the fifth floor to where Liz’s room was at the very end. There was a curve at the end of the hall so he couldn’t see her door, but when he was about twenty feet away he heard voices. Sure enough, just as he got there, Liz and her Harvard guy were arriving at her door.

Liz kept him outside of her room and tried to say goodnight. Harrison couldn’t hear exactly what they were talking about, but Liz seemed to be pretty friendly with the guy.

The Harvard guy was leaning up against the door frame with one arm to support himself as he leaned down to kiss Liz. He was a good looking guy, probably a bit taller than Harrison. He looked like a rugby player with a fair amount of muscles and Harrison did not like the way Liz looked at him. She liked this guy, at least for a moment.

Harrison backed away from the corner so Liz and her guy would not see him there. He hoped that Liz would not let this guy into her room, because at that point Harrison knew there was nothing else he could do about the situation. He waited patiently for a few moments and then looked around the corner to see what was going on.

The Harvard guy and Liz were in the midst of a pretty heavy make out session. Liz had her arms wrapped around his neck, and he was pretty aggressively kissing her. Harrison was about to leave in defeat, but something would not allow him.

He wanted to be the guy that Liz was making out with. Harrison stayed in the hallway and looked at the two of them making out. Henry let his hands pull her dress down a little, and her breasts were exposed. Soon Henry had his lips down on her nipple, and he was using his other hand to slide her dress up higher.

Harrison couldn’t take it any longer. How could he just stand here and watch this? Either he would have to stop it or he should leave. But Harrison couldn’t decide what to do. Desperately he wanted to rush over there and stop this craziness from happening, but he suspected that would not look good on him. Liz would wonder why he was there, why he had been spying on her. Harrison decided the best thing for him to do would be just to leave.

He started to make his way down the hall when he heard Liz yell out.

“No!” Liz said.

Harrison hurried back and looked around the corner. Henry was trying to push his way into the hotel room, but Liz would not let him. As much as she had enjoyed her night out with Henry, she no longer wanted to be around him. He was pushy, and it didn’t seem like he cared at all about Liz. She was starting to think he would have asked pretty much any girl back to their place so he could get into their pants.

“Ok, now. I really need to get to bed.” Liz was talking louder than she had been because Harrison could hear her.

“Come on babe. Let me come in for a minute.” The Harvard guy suggested.

Liz tried to be nice. She gave him one last kiss then turned to put her key into the door.

“It was nice meeting you. Call me tomorrow.” Liz said.

As she put her key in the door, the Harvard guy flipped her around and pushed her up against the door jam. He seemed to be pretty aggressive, and Harrison wasn’t about to leave with this guy acting like a jerk.

“No more Henry. I need to go.” Liz said firmly as she attempted to push the drunk Harvard student off of her.

“Oh don’t be a bitch,” Henry said to Liz

“Really? Really? Go now.” Liz pushed him.

“Oh come on baby. You know you wouldn’t have invited me up here if you didn’t want a piece of this.”

Harrison couldn’t take it another second. He was about to step in.

“You need to leave now or I’ll call the police,” Liz said firmly.

With that statement, Henry gave up his attempt to get into Liz’s hotel room. Harrison hurried down the hall to the ice machine area and waited for Henry to get on the elevator before returning to Liz’s hotel room and knocking on the door.
