Liz couldn’t take it a second longer and jumped up and sat on top of Harrison to force him to stop tickling her. She wanted him, it was something she couldn’t control. Liz tried to make small talk about the Harbor and the Boston area, but Harrison did not seem to be paying attention to her. He was busy looking off in the distance and seemed very preoccupied. His mind was certainly somewhere else almost the second they started their walk back to the hotel. Eventually, she just stopped talking, and the two of them walked silently back to her room.
In the elevator Liz tried not to make eye contact with Harrison, She felt an overwhelming urge to kiss him again. It took every bit of self-control she had to resist. Liz kept herself as far away from Harrison while in the elevator. She could not throw herself at him again. The last thing she wanted to look like was this desperate girl who kept going after a guy when he clearly said they should not be together. She felt embarrassed enough for jumping on his lap down by the harbor. Liz focused her eyes on the ground and committed herself to actively avoiding any eye contact with Harrison.
Harrison also made sure to avoid eye contact with Liz. His whole body ached for her. He just needed to get her to her door then turn and walk away. His mind raced with thoughts of what Liz felt like.
