Chapter Eleven
Sledge
After listening to Reaper explain the level of depravity Beth’s father had reached, Sledge had to leave. He hated to walk away from her when she needed him, but his temper was no longer his to control. He had already scared her once, he had no intention of doing it again. He had gone to the gym. Not even bothering to change clothes, he took to the bags. That sick son of a bitch destroyed his life. He ripped his heart from his chest, left him broken - and all for a Goddamn vote! And poor Beth... All this time, he was angry with her. Angry that she would allow her father to control her life, their life. He felt sick. Eight years gone because of that bastard! Not anymore, Sledge was done letting Beth’s father control her, control them. He had the woman he had always loved under his roof and his son. His family. And he was going to fight to keep them.
That’s what going to Beth’s room was about. He needed to hold her. After the blow from Reaper, he wanted to get back the years he’d missed. When Beth told him he couldn’t stay, he felt his dream slip from his fingertips. He left her room, feeling like he was losing her all over again, but this time it was worse because they had a son. Sledge thought he had made a huge mistake. He thought Beth didn’t want him, didn’t feel anything for him anymore. So when he opened his door to find her standing there, looking like a wet dream - yeah he was beyond shocked. Truly, shocked would be an understatement.
Now, holding her in his arms, feeling her skin under his palm, he was in heaven. Slowly, he trailed his hand across her stomach. The stomach that had held their son. He felt Beth shiver and watched as goosebumps formed on her smooth skin.

“That’s my girl,” he said, followed by another bite.
Sledge continued his assault, making his way towards her breasts. “Damn, these are the most beautiful tits I have ever seen.” He sucked one into his mouth. Using the tip of his tongue, he flicked it across her; while his hand tweaked the other nipple. Beth’s back arched off the bed. Her moans filled the room. “This room is sound proof Beth. Scream and beg as loud as you want, nobody will hear us. “Devin, if you don’t do something soon, I am going to die in this bed,” she panted.

“Oh fuck! Devin!” and he watched as her hand moved to her wet folds.

Positioning himself at her entrance, Sledge entered her in one hard, fast stroke, causing both of them to moan. Holding his weight on his forearms, Sledge grabbed a handful of Beth’s hair. Yanking her head to the side, he bit down on her shoulder again. He felt her clench around his cock and shatter beneath him.
