Truly Yours 1 Toby and Dalton: M-Preg by Aria Grace, Chris McHart (5)

Chapter Five

Toby

I stared at the broad chest in front of me, covered with a black T-shirt. Slowly, my eyes wandered up toward a strong, clean-shaven chin, sensual, currently smiling lips, and then to the eyes of my “date.” My breath stopped for a second when our eyes met. Holy hell. What the fuck was up with him? They were a welcoming brown, but something drew me to him, pulled me forward, telling me… What exactly?

I shook my head slightly to break the spell and pulled my lips into something resembling a smile.

“Toby?”

“Um, yeah. Dalton, right?” I continued to stare at him, frozen in the moment, as the most amazing smell hit my nostrils. My knees buckled, and arousal raced through me. Fuck! What was that? I took another deep breath. It came from him. Oh, heaven help me. I wanted to throw myself at him, kiss him, fuck him until I couldn’t walk anymore, and then do it all over again. I wanted his scent all over me; my cat wanted to rub himself on Dalton, get my scent on him. But more importantly, I wanted to be marked as his. I wanted to be his and his alone.

Oh, fuck. Oh, fuck, fuck, fuck. This was amazing.

“So… Are we going out?” The smooth voice ripped me out of my fantasies.

What? Going…out? Oh, right. Going out. Yes.

“Um…yeah. I’ll… I’m ready. I mean, I need my wallet and keys, and then we can go.” Hey, I managed a whole sentence without stammering.

“Good. I…I’m going to wait here, okay?”

“Yeah. I’ll just need a second.” I turned around and grabbed my keys and wallet then stood back in front of him in under ten seconds.

“Let’s go. Where exactly are we going, by the way?” I’d asked him before, but he just said we’d go out on a date, and I should wear whatever was comfortable. Nothing fancy. Usually, that was more than fine with me, so I wore a pair of jeans, a loose T-shirt, and my sneakers. Now, though, I could’ve slapped myself for not picking the tighter jeans that highlighted my ass or a shirt that showcased my chest. But, no, I had to go and pick whatever lay on top of the pile in my closet. Oh man.

Dalton cast one last glance at me then turned around and climbed down the stairs.

I followed, still on unsteady legs. I was going to have dinner with this man. In a public place. Where I couldn’t jump his bones. Fuck.

He opened the car door of his SUV for me, and we got in without a word before he drove out of the parking lot. I tried to come up with something to say, but my mind refused to do anything besides picturing us naked and in bed. Damn.

“So, you’re a client of Truly Yours as well?”

“Yeah. I mean, I just signed up… I didn’t expect to receive a call that soon.”

“Well, maybe we were supposed to meet.” He flashed me a grin, but then he concentrated on the road while I tried to get my raging hormones under control.

I failed.

I decided not to respond to his comment about us being supposed to meet. We’d have to see about that. Just because I couldn’t think straight and my hard-on pressed against my zipper didn’t mean we were a good match…or that he wouldn’t dump me just like all the others had. But then, one thing was clear: if he wasn’t a total asshole, he wouldn’t leave without having fucked me.

An alpha like Dalton wouldn’t say no to a piece of ass. I mean, I had no idea whether I was his type or if he found me as hot as I found him. But if he did, then we would have quite a bit of fun. And if he decided after that to run as all the others had… Well, his loss, not mine.

“Well, we’re here now. Care to give me a hint about where we’re going?” I liked surprises, but my nerves were already on high alert. I wanted to know what to anticipate.

“Chinese. I hope you’ll like it.” He drove through the Seattle traffic, his eyes on the street.

“Yeah, that sounds good.”

By the time we pulled into the parking lot of a small Chinese restaurant, dusk had fallen and my hard-on still hadn’t lessened enough that I could leave the car. Every time I got a whiff of him, it flared back up, threatening to bring me to my knees.

To my knees in front of him to blow him, to be precise.

Dalton got out of the car, and I adjusted myself as inconspicuously as I could before reaching for the door myself. It opened, and Dalton grinned down at me.

I climbed out and stopped. He didn’t step back, but waited, close to me. Way too close.

His nostrils flared. I stared at him, my erection uncomfortable in my jeans. Could we skip dinner and go back to my place?

Dalton emanated strength. Power. Lust. Arousal. So heavy. So strong.

My omega instincts kicked in, and without regard to anyone who might have been around us, I dropped to my knees, ready to reach for his zipper.

“Stop it. Please. Stand up.” His voice was a low growl, quiet but compelling.

My hand fell, as did my excitement. He didn’t want me.

Slowly, I got up, hanging my head in shame. I’d totally misjudged the situation, and now I stood there like an idiot.

Dalton gently laid his hand on my chin and raised my head. “I can’t tell you how much I want you to go on, but I won’t use you like a cheap whore in a parking lot. This has nothing to do with me not wanting, okay? I do. Just not like this. If we end up in bed with each other, then we’re going to do it right. I don’t want our first experience to be like this, in a parking lot, with you on your knees.”

I slowly raised my eyes to meet his. What I saw wasn’t arousal, but something else. I just couldn’t place it.

“Okay?”

I nodded, too stunned to speak. He’d really refused to let me give him head because he wanted to do it right? That definitely had never happened before.

“Then let’s go in.” He smiled, and before I realized what was happening, I was in his arms, his lips on mine. What the hell?

He kissed me gently, not with tongue, pulling me tightly to his warm chest. After a few seconds, he let go of me, a smile back in place on his gorgeous face. “Just so you know, I definitely want you—before you worry all through dinner about my words and actions.”

How the heck did he know exactly how to behave and what to say to placate my worries?

I nodded. “Thanks. I mean, I-I don’t know. I’ve never had that happen before. I…you…we…”

“It’s okay. We can figure it out during dinner.”

He led me toward the entrance of the restaurant. Halfway across the parking lot, his hand slipped into mine, and my heart soared. Maybe, just maybe, my bad luck with guys had changed.

***

We spent the next few hours enjoying a rather pleasant dinner. He’d picked well. The food was delicious, and his company…blew me away. He was attentive and friendly and simply good company. He made me laugh and made me blush, giving me the feeling he really, really enjoyed the evening with me. And based on the heated looks I received every now and then, the evening was far from over.

Dalton told me about his job as a construction foreman, and I told him about my job as a web designer. Designing websites wasn’t that exciting, but he asked questions, genuinely interested in me and my life.

By the time he paid for our dinner, I could barely contain my excitement. I’d enjoyed his company, but the closer we got to being done with dinner, the more aroused I got.

Dalton led me to the parking lot, holding my hand before opening the car door. Before I could climb inside, he pulled me into his arms. Instantly, his warmth engulfed me, and I raised my head to meet his lips. This time, he didn’t stop with a chaste peck but trailed his tongue over my lips. I opened up, meeting him as he ventured inside me for the first time.

My knees wobbled as I tasted him, and our tongues slowly caressed each other. One of his big hands carded through my hair, grabbing it and keeping me in the kiss…as if that was necessary. The simple gesture of possession sent a shiver down my spine.

I groaned quietly, my hands searching, running over his back and clutching the fabric of his T-shirt. The feeling of his firm muscles rippling under my fingertips was intoxicating. He pressed his hard cock against mine so we were only separated by the annoying denim.

We kissed slowly, unhurried, despite the lust. I wanted to savor the moment. I loved the feel of him taking his time, not rushing us, not hurrying to get me into bed, even though we would end up there very soon. Our tongues danced as his hands fisted my hair before sliding down my back and shoulders.

It felt like forever but still wasn’t long enough. Finally, he ended the kiss, breathing hard against my neck. “God, I wanted to do that the whole evening.”

“Me too.”

“Do you want to…” He hesitated. “Do you want to do something else? I mean, come with—”

I nodded before he could finish, pressing my lips to his again. “I want to. Your place or mine?”

He exhaled hard. “Mine.”

It took us a good five minutes, but we somehow managed to separate and climb into the car. He grabbed my hand as soon as we sat, but neither of us spoke. I couldn’t. Between my emotions and my arousal, all I could think of was getting him inside me. Now. And if I’d opened my mouth, that was exactly what would have come out, which might be dangerous while he was driving. Besides, I really wanted him to take me in a bed. Not the car.

So I stayed silent, our fingers intertwined and my lust burning, hoping we’d be there soon. Very soon.
