Church by Michelle Hughes (11)

Sebastian

“In case you’ve forgotten, you’re still on my payroll. I expect you in this office in the next hour. Don’t make me come get you.” It should have made me feel better, knowing she was still under my control, but the thought of having to deny myself what I really wanted allowed my rage to grow.

The door to my office was forced open and Trisha stood there looking ready to choke me. “Do you plan on missing your meeting about the property on 116th?”

Shit! I’d forgotten all about it and it was a nine-million-dollar sale. The buyers were willing to pay more and I wanted that off our books.

“Do you have the file?” I knew she did. She’d know everything about the potential buyers and properties, better than any of our agents.

“Wherever your mind is, I wish you’d get it back in the game. This might be a small account, but it’s hemorrhaging money each month.” The sneer on her beautiful face broke the small remainder of patience I had left today.

“If I want your advice, I’ll tell you. Now, do something productive or get the hell out of my way, Trisha. I’m not in the mood today.” I walked over snatching the file out of her hand, and quickly thumbed through it.

“Either pull your head out of your ass or find a new marketing operator. I love you, Sebastian, but neither you nor anyone else in this world, will ever talk to me that way.” She turned her back on me, walking toward the door, and I grasped her arm.

“You’re right. It was a long night.” I rarely admitted when I was wrong but she was my closest friend.

“You need to fuck that girl out of your system and get over it. This should be an easy sale. Let’s take care of it.” She knew me better than anyone, and if I thought I could just sleep with Ashley a few more times and move on, I might have taken the advice. I wanted more than that though, I wanted to own her.

“Bait and switch?” I didn’t want to talk about the sex until I figured out why my need to possess was so overwhelming with my little innocent. We’d played clients before by bouncing off each other and it used to be a game for us.

“That’s the man I admire. Let’s do it.” Her smile returned and I forced one of my own. Walking into the client room we sold that building for fifteen million without even trying. Trisha and I were one hell of a team and the smile after the contracts were signed was genuine.

“I love how ruthless you are in negotiations.” The clients had left not even knowing what had happened, I’m sure. She sat down in one of the swiveled leather chairs and grinned broadly.

“That wasn’t even a fight. We could have probably taken them for twenty if we’d tried harder.” I chuckled and took the seat next to her. That deal with the Chinese is going to be a real battle. Those men are tough negotiators.

“Speaking of, I heard we’ve got L&R going head to head with us over that deal.” They were our biggest competitors and their CEO was a shrewd man that I respected greatly. The man had put in his twenty years building a company that was as solid as mine. “You’re going to have your head on straight, right?”

If it had been anyone else, I would have told them to jump out the window, which here was a twenty-story drop, but she deserved better from me. “I don’t know what the fuck is wrong with me. I can’t get that woman out of my brain.” That was the closest I’d ever come to saying I cared about a person romantically.

“That’s priceless.” Trisha tossed her head back and laughed, something I hadn’t seen her do in years. “That little virgin has worked her way into your heart. Never thought I’d see the day.”

“I’m glad you find that amusing, but I’m in real trouble here.” Her laughter died immediately and she looked at me like she finally understood. Leaning toward me, her eyes darkened.

“This is why you shouldn’t fuck with innocents. It’s nothing more than some caveman shit about popping her cherry. Use her, fuck her until she bores you, and man up. We’ve worked too hard to make this business what it is.” Trisha was a demon when it came to work ethic, and normally I was even worse.

“I don’t want to hurt her.” How pathetic was that? Some barely twenty-something girl had brought down Sebastian Church.

“Where are your balls man? Be that devious sonofabitch that never lets anything stand in the way of what he wants. Show her what an ass you can be and get what you want in return. Make her hate you if you have to while you’re using that body of hers to fill your needs.” Trisha stood up, and smoothed the wrinkles from her designer skirt. Shaking her head, she turned and walked out of the room.

She was right. It had to be the idea of being Ashley’s first that made it feel like this was something more. Using her for my needs and making sure she didn’t feel anything for me after was something I knew how to do. Once I made her as cold-hearted as me, she wouldn’t hold that naïve school girl appeal any longer. Returning to my office and seeing her waiting at my desk, made me wonder if I was as ruthless as I thought.

“You wanted me here, so what do you need?” There was nothing sweet about her as she sat there shooting daggers out of those dazzling hazel eyes.

“I’ve decided not to let you out of our other agreement. You can live with Deshawn, but when I want you, I expect you to be available. You’ll also continue working here as my assistant.” Turning to lock the office door, something I never did, I walked back over to her, loving how her eyes widened in shock.

“You can’t do that.” That sweet as honey southern drawl made my cock hard and I meant to have her. “You’ll destroy me, Sebastian.” The quiver of those lips wouldn’t stop me this time.

“The way I see it, I can do whatever I want unless you’re turning down the money and Deshawn’s freedom.” When her mouth fell open, with no words escaping, I knew I’d won. “Take off your panties. In fact, don’t ever wear any to the office again. I want you accessible to me at all times.”

“I. You. No!” The fear in her face made me want to beat her, and I wasn’t prone to violence in my sexual encounters. “I’m not having relations with you again.”

“Fucking, Ashley, you’re not twelve, call it what it is.” I didn’t want that innocence taunting me any longer. She was going to learn to speak like a woman if I had to fuck her in every outrageous place in the world until she grew up.

“I won’t. You might need to talk dirty, but it’s disgusting to me.” Crossing her arms over those ample tits that I longed to squeeze together and slide between, wasn’t helping her case. I’d win. I always did.

Pulling her into my arms, I ran my hand up her skirt, and moving them over that silk that covered what was mine, and almost instantly she was wet. “Your pussy is already begging you to shut up and do what I want. Tell me you don’t desire this.” I pressed my fingers inside her, the cloth sliding in as I pushed deeper.

“I don’t,” she lied even as her juices soaked my fingers and I wanted to punish her for denying the truth. Sliding up under the barrier, two fingers slid inside her tight heat and curled. The soft cry of pleasure on her lips and the way her internal muscles tightened told the truth.

Riding her slowly, I smirked. “Tell me to stop.” I knew how to touch her, what spot made her knees weaken, I could make her come within seconds if I chose, but I wouldn’t. Not until she gave me the words I demanded.

“Please.” Her hips pressed into my fingers as I continued and I knew she was giving in.

“Please what, Ashley? Do you want me to keep fingering this tight pussy or stop?” I pressed deep and remained still, needing her to know who owned her.

“Don’t stop.” She tried to move her hips, and I backed her up against the glass window, imprisoning her between it and me.

“You want me to fuck you?” I was an ass, but didn’t care. She would beg for it before I gave in. She nodded. Not nearly good enough. “Say the words. I’ll make you come then fuck you the way your body craves.”

“I can’t.” Those damn tears in her eyes weren’t stopping me. I widened my fingers inside her, spreading what I’d soon be pounding into.

“Say it, or all this ends. You’ll sit here in my office all day with your cream running down your legs.” I was a bastard for pushing her and I’d never admit how badly her tears affected me.

They rolled down her cheeks, as I slowly inched my fingers free, refusing to let her off easy. “Fuck me, Sebastian.” Her voice was the barest whisper, but she’d given in.

“Take off your panties.” I backed up enough to undo my pants and drop them and my underwear down to my ankles. Her hands were shaking as she did the simple task, and I helped her remove the skirt. She looked like a sexy angel standing there in her dress shirt and heels and it turned me on so much I was afraid I’d come before I entered her. “Hands on the glass and bend over. I’ll give you what you need.”

I watched that perfect ass line up for my cock and wasted no time grabbing her hips and thrusting in deep. Instantly, I was surrounded by a pussy so tight, it was made to be fucked by me. Grabbing her hair into a ponytail, I pulled back her head. “You’ll never deny me again.” Pulling back slowly I gave a hard-thrust forward, filling her up.

“This pussy is mine. Say it.” Grinding my hips against hers until they were flushed against her, my hand pulled back on her hair until she whimpered. “Say it!” I demanded with a harsh whisper in her ear.

“It’s yours.” Her words escaped on a sob and I lost all control. Pumping into her with hard deep thrusts, I kept going, even after she came. It wasn’t enough. I needed her to come on my cock again, so she never doubted again who owned her.

“I can’t, please, Sebastian.” Her legs were giving way and I held her up as I ravaged her body with my punishing thrusts. I hated that she was driving me to insanity with her perfect body. Inching out of her, I pulled us both to the floor and lay her back before filling her up again. Like an animal, I ripped her shirt open and continued to fuck her until I couldn’t hold back any longer. Coming on her stomach I felt like some savage because I enjoyed knowing I’d marked her.

Sliding free her grimace brought a little sanity back. I’d made her sore which was a dick move, but she’d remember how many times I made her come. Flopping down on my back, I realized where we were. I sure as hell hadn’t cared before. This floor wasn’t comfortable, and I stood up, adjusting myself and dressing.

“I’ll have my secretary bring you a shirt. You can go clean up in the bathroom.” Sanity made me feel like shit about what I’d done, but I’d do it again. Holding my hand out to help her up, she ignored it and stood then ran to my private bathroom.

She was in my blood so bad I couldn’t think. I knew I’d hurt her, not only physically but emotionally. A better man would have apologized, but that wasn’t who I was. I needed her to hate and want me. I’d made sure that happened today. Picking up the phone I told my secretary what I needed without giving a reason. She was paid to take care of my needs and not ask questions.

Fifteen minutes later, Ashley had still not come out, and compassion won over. I walked to the door and knocked on it. “Gretchen will have you something to wear soon.” I needed to make sure she was okay. I didn’t think she’d hurt herself, but that fear entered my mind.

“Screw you.” I felt relieved. Her pride was hurt and her body would heal. Those things I could live with. Remembering that I didn’t want her to feel any emotions toward me, I chose to be cruel.

“You already have, but if you’re ready for a round two all you have to do is say the words, lover.” I walked back to my desk to take care of some paperwork and was shocked to be able to do it with a clear head. Trisha was right. I needed to take control and remember who I was.

Half an hour later, Gretchen knocked on my door, and I walked over to take a bag from her. “Do you need anything else, Sir?” Her professional demeanor was why she was my head secretary.

“Lunch reservations for two at .” When she nodded, I shut the door behind her. Walking back to the bathroom I knocked. “I have your shirt, unless you plan on hiding out in there all day.”

She opened it and snatched the bag I held up. “Can I leave now?” The rage on her sweet face told me I’d stepped over all her boundaries. She needed them torn down.

“I’ll drop you off after lunch.” I snatched my hand back as she slammed the door and chuckled. Ashley had quite the temper when things didn’t go her way. I marked that down in memory for a later time.

She walked out a few minutes later, looking polished and I wanted to muss her up again. She’d wiped away the makeup and I thought she looked better without it. Ashley had a perfect complexion and didn’t need all that crap on her face. “Are we eating or not?” It was wrong of me to love that demanding persona she had when angry.

Holding up my hand, I used the speakerphone to see what time our reservations were. “In such a hurry to get away from me?” I couldn’t help but smirk as she looked ready to claw my eyes out.

“Permanently? Yes.” Her chin lifted stubbornly and I wanted to put the passion back in those eyes instead of the hatred. There was time for that later.

“Well, you know how to make that happen. Get Deshawn to talk and you’ll be free of me for good.” I didn’t like that idea, but when that time came, I’d let her go and hopefully have her out of my system.

“There’s nothing I want more.” She turned away to look out at the skyline and her face reddened. “Could people see what we did?” The horror in her eyes as looked at me again, made me grin.

“Don’t worry I’m not a voyeur, it’s one way glass. Unless you’re into that kind of thing? I’d be glad to arrange something like that.” Anger was much better than innocent blushes and her glare was exactly what I’d been aiming for.

“You’re a sick sonofabitch, Church.” Cursing. She was learning quickly. It was like a little china doll using bad words and I couldn’t help it, I laughed.

“At your service. Any dirty thing you want to try, just say the word.” I glanced down at my watch, tired of making her angry. “Let’s feed you so you can get home.” Motioning my hand out the door, I watched the sway of her perfect ass in that sexy skirt, and couldn’t wait to have her again.

We made it downstairs and my driver held the door open for us. Food was the last thing on my mind as I watched her slide into the back seat. My obsession for this woman was going to be the death of me. She ignored me the entire trip to the restaurant, and that was a lucky thing for her. I wanted her riding me again, and I was sure she was still tender after the way I’d taken her.

Aureole was my second favorite destination for lunch, and we were led back to the formal dining area the moment we walked in. I ordered a bottle of wine and the black angus steak since it was my preference and served three. When asked for a preference of sides, she shrugged so I ordered the mushroom fricassee, marbled potatoes, and spring peas. Ashley sipped on her wine, ignoring me, and I found it amusing to not be the sole focus of a date for a change.

“I want to see you later tonight.” I knew how to get her focus where it belonged.

“Haven’t you had enough for one day?” The sadness in her eyes made me almost relent. I wouldn’t sleep without having her again, though.

“Now, lover, do you think I could ever get enough of that tantalizing body of yours?” It was true, I couldn’t but I made a mockery out of it with my sarcasm.

“Careful Sebastian, I might think you care.” She lifted her full lips into a small smirk, and I was impressed. My kitten was growing claws. I didn’t respond since our waiter appeared again asking if everything was too our satisfaction. I answered and shooed him away, not wanting to be interrupted.

“That was very rude.” She was offended for the server? Of course, she was. If there was one thing I wished she’d take away from our time together it would be the ability to realize that people all wanted or needed something from you and not to care what they thought.

“He’s paid to do a job. There’s no reason for me to care what he thinks.” She lived in a fantasy world, and maybe that’s another reason she was such an enigma to me.

“It’s called consideration of others. Try it sometime. Maybe you’ll learn something.” Her disgust was apparent, and I didn’t like that she wasn’t impressed like every other woman I’d had in my bed.

“The only thing that man cares about is the tip I’ll leave him. I’m generous and he gets to pocket extra cash.” Her eye roll showed me that she thought that ludicrous.

“Being a decent human being can’t be bought and paid for. I don’t care how much money you have. If you’re a jerk, no one will want to stay around you.”

“You haven’t been paying attention. I don’t want people to stay around. They always want something from you, and usually it’s not worth the time they take.” Our food arrived and it was delicious as always. Ashley had barely eaten, though. “Is it not to your liking? I can order you something else.”

“The food is fine. It’s the company I can do without.” She pushed back her plate, and I would never admit it, but her words felt like a punch in the gut.

I wanted her to hate me, so why did I feel like shit because sharing a simple meal with me wasn’t something she was willing to do? I waved the server over and asked for to go boxes. Normally, I didn’t bother, but I was angry. When he walked away, I folded up my napkin putting it on my plate. “I won’t bother with feeding you again, then.” The waiter came back and boxed the food up and I paid.

I wasted no time getting us out of the restaurant and back in the car. Telling the driver to take her home, we didn’t speak on the ride until we pulled up in front of her apartment building. We wouldn’t have spoken then if she didn’t start the conversation.

“That was rude of me, I’m sorry.” Her words shocked me. I hadn’t given her any reason to feel remorse with my attitude. “The food was delicious, so thank you.”

“No need to apologize, I was being rude.” Another shock, I returned an apology. That was a rare occasion. “I’ll pick you up at seven, if that’s okay?” I was asking?

She nodded and slipped out of the car, and I realized that I didn’t want her angry with me. This situation continued to get worse. I couldn’t make her hate me. Well I could, but I didn’t want that. Ashley was doing something that scared the hell out of me, but I didn’t want it to stop. I didn’t get out of the car, but made the driver wait until she was inside before leaving.

Would it be so horrible if we had a relationship? I didn’t even know if I could be faithful to a woman. She deserved someone that could give her whatever crazy thing women like her wanted. Ashley didn’t belong in my world, but I wasn’t willing to let her go, either.

Trisha’s phone call pulled me out of my head, and I answered so I could think of something else besides the blonde-haired beauty that was turning my world upside down.

“Thomas has new information on the case. You’re going to want to see this.” Her words turned my focus immediately and I told her I’d be back immediately.

I arrived back at Church Industries and quickly made my way up to my office. Thomas and Trisha were arguing and I put myself between them before she decided to show him how well she could take him down. “Someone explain what’s going on.” My voice demanded an answer and Thomas put his attention on me.

“This Matteo guy that Deshawn has been seeing has a mother who’s in the country illegally.” I’m guessing Thomas thought this was supposed to be my problem but I had no clue why I cared.

“And?” If this was their big news someone was about to get their ass chewed out.

“One of my inside men in IT found a file on Matteo’s mother in Russell Landry’s desk. We have a motive. If Deshawn cares for this man, then Landry could be blackmailing him to keep quiet.” Thomas’s eyes lit up and he obviously believed this was a big break in the investigation.

“I saw that Mexican man at Deshawn’s last night but why would he risk going to jail to help him out?” Trisha rolled her eyes and gave a shrug.

“Racist much? I don’t expect someone like you to understand, Ms. DuPoint, but love has made people sacrifice many things.” The two of them shouldn’t be in a room together, which I found rather amusing.

“I have to agree with Thomas on this. If he truly cares for this man, and I’m assuming they are lovers, then maybe we know where to look now.” I felt like for the first time we might be close to solving this case. “Don’t forget Landry hasn’t been promoted in years because of his alcoholism.” Our company had a paid program for recovering alcoholics and we’d sent him to a center twice.

“I’ll call Ashley and get her to ask about Matteo’s family.” The thought of him having any connection to her was unacceptable. Foolish, yes, but I didn’t trust him around her

“I have a date with her tonight, I’ll let her know.” It gave me great satisfaction to see the disbelief in his eyes.

“I was under the impression you’d ended your agreement with her.” He had Ashley in his radar and I wasn’t allowing it.

“Whatever my relationship is with Miss Mulder is between us. You’ll do well to remember that if you’d like to stay on here.” I felt like a territorial lion protecting my property and was ready to kick his ass if he got in my way.

“If you hurt her again, you’ll be looking for someone to work on this case from scratch. I’ll be in touch when I have more information.”

“What is it with this woman that makes men act like idiots? You’d think she’s the only blonde bitch in New York City.” In a huff, Trisha walked out and Thomas left not long after. She was right and I’d been out of line with Thomas. The last thing we needed was to start over again, and no matter how jealous I was of his attraction to Ashley, business had to come first.

Jealous? I was jealous! This wasn’t just some sexual attraction. I couldn’t lie to myself any longer. I didn’t only want her in my bed, I wanted to be the only man in hers. The thought of her hooking up with Thomas made me want to pick him up by the throat and throw him in front of a moving train.

Since my mother’s murder, I hadn’t allowed myself to love another woman. Outside of Trisha, and that was more of two professional people that worked well together and friendship. Could I really be falling in love with my little southern beauty? The thought terrified me. Sebastian Church brought to his knees by a little girl. It was so pathetic I had to laugh at myself.
