Armed and Inked by M.S. Swegan (9)

Chapter 9

“A breath of fresh air.”

Lilly

The sun begins to rise and peer through my curtains as I start to feel the pull from the tightness on my skin. Dylan is still here next to me since he came to rescue me from myself last night. So dangerously sexy laying here with one arm above his head as I take my time looking over his body while he sleeps. And the mystery is solved as I can finally see that his legs too have some ink on them, not covered like above, but it looks like he is starting to anyways. Before last night I used to think my bed was a decent size but having him in here with me it feels so small, nevertheless I actually slept through the night, as opposed to the normal tossing and turning that happens.

However, all the reservations I had up until this point are gone, right out the window, and honestly it’s so freeing. If I could make this moment last all day just so I can feel him next to me I would, but sadly our day off comes with a list of things to do. But first I know a good way to wake him up beings that I can’t hold back from the temptation any longer.

So with a few kisses placed strategically down over his tight abs and continuing further past his belly button he begins to stir. My nervousness kicks back in a little bit because I don’t really know how to do this right but I feel the need to try. As I take him in my mouth his deep voice lets out a growl followed by a mumbled “Jeezus Lilly.” When he opens his eyes and watches me as I taste him inch by inch, unable to get the whole thing in my mouth I still give it a good try though, and honestly it appears to be working. While my tongue flicks his piercing every time I get the chance I notice his breathing changes. I know this sounds crazy but I want to master this. I want to be able to give him pleasure like no one ever has before. “Shit, you’re going to make me come like that, but this time I want you on top riding me when that happens.” His voice is deep like always but a little extra raspier in the morning as he tells me what to do, and this makes me desperate to feel him inside of me. Although I feel good that I was on the right track I do have to agree that I need more. He pulls another rubber from his wallet on the night stand and rolls it on. When I place myself right on the tip I make sure to drive him a little crazy as I slowly go down then back up. His hands grab my nipples and apply some pressure as I feel it tingle all through my body. Not to mention that his piercing hits me in all the right places, which is all new to me, but I have to say…it’s addictively intense.

I continue to go slow as his hands slide down to my thighs and around to my ass. His fingers dig in and squeeze as he takes control in my movements and brings me down harder on top of him. Quickly this makes me tighten around him as I hold my breath before the tension eases back up. Every influenced pull keeps me bouncing on him and in turn has me feeling like I’m in a whirlwind of ecstasy. It’s insane that someone can give you so much pleasure from a simple act. So when he sits up and brings his hands to my back to hold me against him I’m back in charge. While our bodies move together and I hold on for dear life, our foreheads meet. I find myself wrapped up and tangled in Dylan as I ride him to our surrender.

Beings that we came together has left us out of breath and sweaty in each other’s arms. Until he lifts his mouth and kisses my nose and then looks me in the eye. “That was one hell of a way to wake up.” He grins and I squeeze him tighter into me while he does the same. “I guess we should get showers now.” I mention as I feel the need stand up. “Or maybe we can just stay right here all day.” He says as he lets go and lays back down on the bed. “Well, as tempting as that sounds, I have to get a few things done today or I’d gladly make a day of just this.” I say as I lean over him and give him another kiss.

When I hop off of him I grab some clothes, a loose t-shirt and a light stretchy pair of yoga pants, but before I head out to the shower I turn back to look at him as he is now standing up stretching. Oh my, this man is truly a marvel, with his hard body and dangerous grin. “What do you have planned today?” I ask as I consider the whole staying in bed all day option. “Nothing much, I usually go to the gym on my off days for about an hour or so but I’d rather go with you to look at some apartments today if that’s okay?” My heart melts. How sweet, but I know I should play it cool. “I’d like some company while I run to a few places.” I try not to sound too sappy, but inside I’m so glad that he wants to spend some time with me. “Are you going to feel like you missed out on some gym time though? I don’t want to mess up your day.” I ask just to make sure because I don’t want to sound clingy. Then he comes over to me and pushes my hair off my shoulder, kisses me and causes me to blush as I stand here naked in front of him. “The only thing that would mess up my day is if I had to spend it without you. Plus, I can drive so we can stop for some lunch somewhere or something.” He finishes with a shrug and I’m practically in a puddle over here from his charm. “That sounds like a great plan actually.” The smile on my face probably looks ridiculous right about now so I better get my ass to the shower where I can let the cool water take it down a notch. “Good.” Is his only reply before I force myself out the door and down the hall.

The water feels like it gives me the refresh I need to start the day as opposed to crawling back in bed with Dylan. I wash and rinse off then cover myself up with one towel in my hair and the other around me as I make my way back to my room. However, Dylan isn’t in here anymore so I peek down the hall and hear him talking on the phone while moving around in the kitchen. Since I’m not the type to hover I go back into my room and get ready for the day. About ten minutes later I hear the shower running and I start getting excited for apartment searching.

Looking for a place of my own while spending time with Dylan, outside of work, makes for an interesting day off. Plus a text message from Everly asking me to call her at some point today too. I can almost bet what she wants to talk about but I’ll wait to hear all about that later.

With the shower still running I make my way to the kitchen, grab some coffee that Dylan must have made and have some toast. While I sit at the table and scroll through news feeds as I drink my coffee. I see posts about the shop and how people are starting to rate us. Locals are giving us a lot of five star ratings and leaving comments saying that they would definitely refer us to a friend. Good to know. That means when I put the Halloween promotions up on our web page I’ll also make sure I reach as much social media as I possibly can.

“Hey you almost ready?” His voice breaks me away from my phone as I look up and see him standing there looking down at me. “I am, just let me grab the paper with the addresses on it and we can go.” I stand up to go get my purse and the paper but his hand stops me. Caught a little off guard I look to him in question. “What’s the matter?” I ask as I fear this is where he’ll tell me that we are just not going to work. Instead however his hand comes up to my cheek and his thumb glides across my bottom lip as his eyes hold mine. “Nothing, you’re just beautiful that’s all.” He finally grins and renders me speechless. “Are you ready to go look at some apartments?” He asks as I continue to blush. “Yes.” Is all I can reply because for the first time ever I have someone standing in front of me that is actually interested and seems to care. The only problem is that I also can’t help but wonder how long this will last for before he gets bored of me. With Brandon it was only a short time before his true colors came out. “Good, get your stuff, and let’s go.” I nod as I try like hell to stop thinking about the ex asshole who destroyed that level of trust in me, because it’s one thing to trust a friend with your silly secrets but it’s a whole other thing to trust someone with your heart. I just hope Dylan is different because with him it’s like jumping out of a plane…the ground comes fast when you fall, but how you land is the key to survival, and I’ve already began my descent.

The walk out to his truck is blinding from the sun. Dylan opens the door for me as I jump in. After he comes around and starts the truck I pull out the paper. “It says it’s on the corner of third and west.” I tell him and he nods. “Yep, I know right were that is.” We head the long way down through the alley and turn right on west. Several blocks further down is third. If I were to walk it I could easily just cut straight through and get to work, but driving would give me the opportunity to get here a little quicker. Plus it would be nice to not have to walk in the hot summer days.  “That’s it there.” He tells me as he parks along the side. “Looks like the picture.” I confirm. “The guy told me to call him when I get here and he would be over in a minute.” I tell Dylan as I dial the number and the guy answers.

“Hello, its Lilly, I called earlier about the apartment.”

“Hi, yes I remember, just give me a minute and I’ll be over. I live in the green house right across the street, so it’ll only be a minute.”

“Okay, sounds good!” I reply and he says “Alright” then hangs up. “He lives in that house right there.” I point. “That’s convenient.” He tells me as he looks at the paper I have with the other addresses on it. My stomach is a ball of nerves. From all of this change, I kind of feel a little scared right now. So I just look around at the brick building and “cute” is the first thought that comes to mind. Parking appears to be just street parking and that’s okay I guess. I don’t plan on getting a huge truck like Shane’s or Dylan’s. I just want something simple and fun. Maybe like a Jeep or something.

My mind jumps from one random thing to another. “Here he comes. Let’s go.” Dylan tells me as he squeezes my hand and I look up to see a shorter guy about in his late thirties or so walk our way. So I get out of the truck and walk over to meet him by the door to the apartment with Dylan at my side.

Our introductions are normal, handshakes and names exchanged. Then Mr. Myers leads the way. “So I originally had both the upstairs and downstairs apartments in the ad since we remodeled both units at the same time. However, one person was by yesterday and seemed interested in the upstairs unit but since he didn’t put any money down or sign anything, the decision would be yours.” He says as he stops in the hallway. “Let me look at this one first, please.” I say as I motion towards the one on the first floor. With a nod he then opens the door and steps back to let us in.

New hardwood and fresh white paint is basically all I see at first. The window in the living room is rather large with the sunshine pouring in and bouncing off the walls. The kitchen is open to the living room and appears to be on the smaller side but with a huge island in the middle, perfect for me because I wouldn’t need a dining room table. Down the short hallway is a closet, a nice size bathroom, with room for a stackable washer and dryer, thankfully. Then at the end is a massive bedroom with enough room for a king size bed. “I love it.” I find myself whisper as I look at the closet space. “This was normally two small bedrooms but I decided to go for one big one since the past occupants said they felt like sardines in here.” Mr. Myers added as he stood in the doorway. Dylan was looking around and checking locks on the windows as I was imagining how nice it would be to finally have a place to call my own.

“The only thing I ask is that if you are going to hang something on the wall, please try to use the peel and stick hooks first.” Mr. Myers tells me before he goes to look at something with Dylan and I go back out into the living room.

It feels homey, and I like the laundry hook ups. Eagerness and excitement fill my veins as I begin to make up my mind that I don’t want to pass this up. It’s new and clean. The other options that I’ve seen pictures of didn’t look nowhere near as nice.

When Mr. Myers and Dylan come back out to the living room I hear their conversation. “Yeah, whenever someone moves in upstairs it shouldn’t be a problem for her because it’s insulated and pretty much sound proof.” Dylan must have asked about it, and honestly I’m glad he did because it solidifies my answer even more. “I’ll take it.”
