Cabin Fever by Avery Duncan (24)

Chapter 25

Jude

I have never been more grateful to find out that my brothers could indeed share, and that they were willing to let me take that first full step with Ellie. As she lay there in the darkness, curled in against me, fast asleep, I felt like all my dreams had come true. Of all the words that could have fallen from her lips right at that moment, the only ones that she found were of love. Ellie Dawson loved me.

As much as it pained me to do it, I slowly edged my way out of the bed and left her still asleep, pulling a t-shirt over my head and went downstairs to make some breakfast for the woman who loved me.

Charlie and Finn were already in the kitchen when I walked in. Both grinned at me when they looked up at me. “Good night last night, lad?” Charlie smirked.

“Get up to much?” Finn chuckled.

Okay, so they had heard everything.

“You’re both bastards, you know that.” I chuckled and shook my head. “You heard everything then?”

Charlie laughed loudly. “No mate never heard a single moan. What about you Finn?”

Finn smirked. “Nah, not a single ‘Oh Jude.’” He laughed.

I loved my brothers, and I hated them, in equal measure. Charlie stood, put his mug into the sink and slapped me on the shoulder as he did. “I’m pleased for you, mate. Honestly, I am.” With that, he disappeared back upstairs. Finn was staring at me.

“Was it as good as I imagine it will be?” He asked.

“Better. I’m sure you’ll find out for yourself soon enough.”

Finn frowned a little. “Are you really willing to let that happen after everything that happened last night?” He asked.

I thought about it. Was I jealous about it? I had to say no. I really wasn’t. She loved me. I loved her. But I was also very aware of the fact that my brothers loved her too, and she loved them as well. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not sure that I would like to be involved in anything like her and me and one of them. That would be too much for me. But the thought of them with her was something hot to me. I couldn’t explain it, but it turned me on.

“Yes. It’s not about letting it. It’s about giving the woman what she wants, I want to give her what she wants for as long as she’ll let me.”

Finn snorted. “Can’t argue with that one, Jude. I know just what you mean about it.” He nodded in agreement and headed off in the same direction as Charlie.

I set about making a light breakfast for us both and headed back up to my bedroom.

“So that’s where you were.” Ellie smiled at me stretching out in my bed when I came back into the room.

“I thought you might need some food after using all that energy last night.” I grinned at her.

“Did something happen last night?” She grinned back, teasing me.

I smirked. “Shit, am I in the wrong room again, my girlfriend must still be down the hall.” I went to get up and move away from her, but she grabbed my arm and pulled me back to her.

“Uh, no mister, I think you found your girlfriend right here.” She beamed back.

I moved my mouth closer to hers. “Oh, did I now? My girlfriend, you say?” She nodded, and that was all I needed. I leaned in and claimed her mouth for the first of many times with her as my girlfriend. I loved being able to call her that. I had waited a very long time to do just that.
