Diesel had given us each a military grade headset with a mic so we could communicate on a safe line. As soon as I was able to get out of Flathead and Brick’s eyes, I put it on.

“Gunner, do you copy?”

“Yeah, man. I’m on your right when you come in. Eyes trained on the target. Fucker makes a wrong move and I’ll take him out.”

“I’m across from you, man.” I looked up and saw Diesel’s shadow waving at me.

I shook my head at him. “You look like an idiot. Get down.”

He chuckled and I saw his shadow hunch over and disappear. “The brothers are on their way.”

I pointed my sniper at him and he waved back at me. “Still got a hard on for that thing, don’t you?”

I nodded. “I miss the precision of it all. The fact that I could see everything within miles of my perimeter.”

“Do you miss the fight?”

“Fuck no. That shit fucked me up.”

Diesel remained silent on the other end. After a few moments his booming voice came through again. “I met Agent Burke’s Detective friend last night. She is a helluva piece of work.”

“Oh yeah?”

“Fiesty little brunette. Got on my damn nerves.”

I smirked. “So she’s hot.”

“Fuck yeah she’s hot.”

I laughed, knowing whoever this firecracker was, she’d gotten under his skin. “I’ll need to meet my new sister-in-law soon then. Make sure she knows her way around the D-Man.”

“Shut the fuck up, man.”

I chuckled and we were suddenly interrupted by the reverberating roar of bikes. Lots of them. I looked back and sure enough the Hellbound Lovers had arrived, and they brought reinforcement.

“Is that The Fallen Kings?”

Diesel turned his sniper rifle around and I could almost see his jaw drop. “Fuck. Me. That is fucking Father King In the flesh. How the fuck did Wolf manage that one.”

I smirked. “Now that’s a sight to see. The Death Row Shooters, The Fallen Kings and The Hellbound Lovers sitting side by side. Fucking awesome.”

Wolf shouted orders and the bikes dispersed, hiding in the shadows away from The Gremlins eyes. We had major backup and I was able to breathe a little.

In that moment trunks rumbled down the street and another set of bikes roared. The Gremlins and Los Perdidos had arrived.

“Fuck,” I whispered into the radio and Wolf’s voice answered.

“Stay cool up there boys.”

“Always,” I gritted out.

My sniper was already pointed at Rafael Espino’s head. I was focused on him when a flash of blonde distracted me. “Fuck!”

“Keep your head on the mission, Gunner.” Grayson’s voice resounded in my head and I ducked down and made sure that sniper was focused on The Porcupine’s head. I tried ignoring my heart beating wildly in my chest as my woman strutted up to Wolf.

She was close enough that I suddenly heard her voice loud and clear on the mic. “She made the call. They’re on their way.”

Wolf nodded and she sauntered back to The Gremlins side. Her eyes suddenly went up and landed to where I was crouched. I couldn’t help but focus the gun on her so I could see her pretty face. I nearly laughed as the minx winked at me. I shook my head and went back to keeping my rifle on Espino’s head.

You could sense the tension from both the gangs and the Lovers. Someone shouted and everyone got off their bikes, focusing on the shipment about to be dropped off. Everything seemed to be going smoothly...for now. As soon as the cargo ship docked, everyone got into action. Liquor palettes were being stacked in the back of trucks, and men ran back and forth as fast as possible. My eyes never left Espino who was too busy counting money than to realize Chastity had moved over to Wolf’s side. She whispered something in his ear and Wolf signaled to everyone. His eyes came up to me and I immediately realized shit was about to go down.

My muscles tensed, my focus on the mission at hand. The roar of the sirens could be heard miles away and I knew this was going to go South and fast. Sure enough as the black SUVs rounded the curve, Espino raised his hand aiming the gun at Wolf’s head. My finger barely twitched on the trigger when Wolf suddenly grabbed the gun, yanked him forward, immediately disarming him. His elbow struck Espino’s nose and blood flew everywhere. Chaos ensued as I watched Wolf and Grayson head into the ship. Shots rang out and my focus went back to The Gremlins and Los Perdidos who were now shooting at each other. One by one Los Perdidos gang started to drop. It was as if each member of The Gremlins had a target.

Police cars and black SUVs started to file in. The Gremlins continued to shoot at the vehicles and I could hear the rapid fire coming from another roof top. When I looked over I realized there were sniper rifles lined up along the rooftop. The Fallen Kings were no joke as they went into action.

Another set of police cars filed in from the opposite end, and I realized Lowery had actually made an appearance. As the black SUVs pulled over men in full body armor filed out, a woman was in the lead. Her hair was blowing in the wind and she was shouting orders, signaling over to the other set of cop cars. I heard the words arrest and take them down if you have to.

“Fuck. Me.” Diesel whispered into the mic, and I smirked knowing we were being introduced to the firecracker, and she looked like a spitfire. Bullets started to fly overhead and I fired a few shots at The Gremlins bikes, tipping them over and getting rid of their cover. I watched as both gangs tried to scurry away only to get picked out one by one by the FBI. Men started going down, being slammed against car hoods and concrete. I looked over and watched as Lowery and his men were being hauled away.

I heard a shot being fired near the cargo ship and realized there was gunfire inside. I spotted Espino raising his gun and I fired a shot, his scream of pain caught my ear. The shot had slammed right through his shooting hand. Just for spite I shot his knee out and watched in satisfaction as he slipped over the deck of the ship. I knew he wasn’t dead, but he’d have a helluva time getting the fuck out of the water. I saw a flash of blonde and kept my eye trained on Chastity. She crouched low against the side door, and I watched as sparks of gunfire flashed brightly from inside.

“Please, don’t do what I think you’re going to do?”

“Oh, she’s going in man.”

“Fuck. Me.”

Sure enough I watched as she kicked the door in. Three shots were fired and I held my breath, my hand on the trigger. Suddenly, Grayson came out the door, his hands raised in the air as he stepped back onto the top deck. My girl walked out next, and I tensed up as I saw who held her. Andino, La Cruz’s goon, had his arm wrapped around her pretty neck and he was pointing the gun back and forth from her temple to Grayson’s face.

“Fuck!” I echoed Diesel’s thought.

I breathed out and focused on the fucker who had his filthy hands on my woman. Wolf crossed my mind for a fleeting second, but I couldn’t think of him. In that instant all I wanted was Andino’s head.

“Breathe,” Diesel whispered.

I focused and slowly let my breath go. If she moved just an inch to the right, I’d have him. Chastity was smart. She knew I was watching her, and her eyes raised to mine. She was saying something. She was counting.

I counted with her. One. Two. Three. She ducked and flung herself at Grayson as I fired the shot without hesitating. Andino’s head flew back and his body fell back into the ocean.

“Fuck,” Diesel breathed and I looked over at where he was crouched. I could see him nod his head at me. “You’re a helluva shot my friend.”

I breathed out and looked through the rifle at Chastity and Grayson who had gone back inside. They came out with a wounded Wolf.

“Scarlett’s gonna kill us,” Diesel mused.

“She’s gonna kill you. I had nothing to do with it. Besides, it’s just a flesh wound. He’ll be fine.”

We watched as Wolf went down on one knee and we remained silent, knowing he’d been badly injured. A man like Wolf Stone didn’t go down easy. We heard engines revving up, the ambulance sirens surrounding the area. A few bikes flew by, not Hellbound Lovers or any of the MCs. More than half of the Gremlins were escaping even as the Death Row Shooters fired down on them. They caught a few of them as they swerved and crashed, but the majority managed to get the fuck out.

I packed up my gun and left it where Diesel had set it up. “I’m gonna go check on them.”

“You think it’s a good idea?”

“Just keep your eye on that ship.”

I ran down the steps and out onto the pier. An agent came at me and I raised my hands. I’m a Hellbound Lover, I’m with Agent Chastity Burke.” They forced me down to my knees and pinned my hands to my head.

I was being cuffed when her voice rang out. “Let him go! He’s with me!”

I looked up to watch her running over to me. She quickly uncuffed me and cupped my cheeks. “Are you hurt?”

I chuckled. “No. I’m fine. Are you hurt?”

She shook her head, her eyes focusing on my lips. “You killed Andino.”

“He had his hands on what’s mine.”

She smiled and suddenly her lips were on mine. Her tongue searching for mine as she breathed me in. I held her tight as I let her kiss me. It was probably one of sweetest, most passionate kisses I’d ever experienced. When she broke away, we were both breathing heavily. The wind whirling her hair around us.

“Thank you,” she whispered pressing her forehead to mine.

“Did anybody see you?”

She shook her head. “No. I tried to lay as low as possible. Andino was the only one and he can’t say anything now.”

I nodded. “Good.”

I tipped her chin so her eyes met mine. “If anything ever happened to you...”

She smiled and gave me a peck on the lips. “I could say the same to you. How’d you manage that, Jason Gunner?”

“What’s that?”

“Getting into my heart so fast,” she confessed.

I smirked. “I could say the same to you, Angel.”

Diesel suddenly ran up to us, a look of worry on his face.

“What happened?”

“Wolf’s in the hospital. Got shot on his left thigh, a few inches to the right man and... Fuck! He’s alright though. Scarlett’s on her way over.”

“Fuck!” I growled.

Chastity placed her hands in mine and squeezed them, calming me down instantly. “We need to go,” she whispered.

I nodded. “Just keep me updated okay D.”

“You got it man. And watch your back.”

He patted my shoulder as I walked past him. I held on tight to Chastity dreading what we were about to do. We needed to walk back into that shithole bar and face the hell that had probably arisen with The Gremlins.
