GUNNER (Hellbound Lovers MC, #6) by Crimson Syn (4)

3

Gunner

“What the fuck are you doing here?” As much as I yearned to take her back to my place and defile the pretty thing, I wasn’t born yesterday. I wasn’t sure of what she wanted and at this point no one could be trusted.

She raised an eyebrow and perched a hand on the curve of her hip. “Now is that a way to greet a guest, Jason?”

Jason?” Grayson raised an eyebrow but I ignored him.

“You’re no guest. You have another agenda, you made that perfectly clear last night.” I growled.

“You guys have met?” Grayson looked from me to her, an amused smirk on his face. Still ignoring him, I kept my eyes glued on the angel before me.

“I asked you a question.”

“She’s with the FBI,” Grayson huffs. “Or so she says she is.”

“I have my credentials. You can call Gabriela Cristiano, she works in the LAPD and is someone you could trust. She’ll back me up.”

“So why didn’t you tell me the truth last night?” I growled.

She shrugged at me. “Didn’t deem it necessary.”

“And you didn’t think it was necessary to tell me you were a good guy?” I came up toe to toe with her and she remained stoic. The only visible sign that I affected her, was her slight intake of breath.

“My safety depends on keeping my mouth shut. So no. I didn’t think it was necessary to tell you my life story in the bathroom of a Gremlins bar.”

I frowned at her and she simply smiled at me without a care for my anger. She unequivocally knew how to press my buttons, every fucking one of them. And standing there looking at me, wearing those damned, red, fuck me boots, I swear I wanted to press every button she had until she was begging for my cock. I watched as she turned her back to me, showing me her tight as fuck ass as she ignored my question.

“I have intel that states that the Gremlins are working with La Cruz. I know a few men who have already gone into the business deals that The Gremlins have offered them, including Rafael Espino. There’s some heavy underlying drug smuggling going on, masked in shipments of cheap liquor. I have everything in hand, but I need you to cooperate. I know you wanted to cooperate with the police before, and I know what you’ve done for this neighborhood. These guys are bringing in drugs and their doing it through those liquor shipments.”

“We were told not to get involved.” Wolf snarled.

She nodded. “By who? Lowery? Mother fucker’s as crooked as they come. It’s been years since I’ve wanted bring that piece of shit down.” She looked at the men and sighed. “Look, all I’m asking is for some support. You help me bring down The Gremlins and I assure you that will take out La Cruz and even Lowery.” She fixed her eyes on Grayson.

“What do you want us to do?” He asked quickly. He had a vendetta against the cartel and La Cruz and I couldn’t blame the guy. If anyone threatened my family that way I’d want to kill him too.

“I heard you guys are good at surveillance. Some of you are even ex-military.”

Grayson nodded. “Most of us. Gunner used to be a Sniper, didn’t you Guns?”

I grunted in response. I felt her eyes on me. “You were the one on the roof the other day? I should have known.”

I looked up at her pretty brown eyes and gave her a questioning look.

She shrugged. “I’m a professional. I check my surroundings at all times. It’s a habit.”

She’s a woman after my own fucking hard-on.

“What do you want?”

“I want you.” I hated that my cock hummed in agreement.

“Careful sweetheart.”

“I need a man like you on the inside. You walked in and out like you owned the place last night. No one took notice nor did they care who you were.”

“No one?” I teased.

She sighed and frowned at me. “Are you willing to help me or not?”

I never broke her eye contact as my question was directed to Wolf. “What do you think, Prez?”

Wolf sighed. “What exactly do you need from us?”

She blushed slightly under my heated look, but managed to regain her footing with Wolf. “I need you to accept the deal.”

“What?!” Wolf shook his head.

“Look. La Cruz already approached you. If you go at it like you’re trying to one up the Gremlins, he won’t suspect anything.”

“That’s not an option. I’m not putting my family in danger again.”

She leaned in on the table, giving us all an eyeful of her ample cleavage, her plush round tits perked up in that black tank top. I gripped the back of my chair and nearly groaned. The woman was a hard ass and fucking sexy as hell.

“You’re already in danger Mr. Stone.” She insisted. “All you have to do is accept, and Guns here can be my wingman on the inside. I’ll have eyes on my back, and you’ll have all the information you want.”

I frowned. “And how do you plan to get me in?”

She smirked. “You’re my cousin, from Montana. Looking for a place to stay, thought I’d bring you in.”

“You knew who I was from the start, didn’t you?” I stated.

She gave me a once over and met my gaze. “I’ve already told you, I’ve done my research on you Jason Gunner. Ex-military, never stays in one place long enough to get noticed. You proved to me what you’re made of last night. You’re a ghost, and I like that. You’re also a good shot, and if shit goes down like I think it might, then I’d like to have a good man on my ass.”

My cock twitched at her choice of words. More like, ‘in’ that sweet ass of yours, baby. But that still didn’t explain why she needed the outside help.

“Why us? Don’t you have a partner, undercover cops you can call?”

“I’ve been riding with the Gremlins for over a year now. I’ll admit, I’ve done a few things I’m not proud of and that includes being Rafael Espino’s woman.” She looked down when she mentioned his name. “But if I bring this shit down, that means I take down one of the largest cartels surrounding Los Angeles. No one knows who I am here, especially not the LAPD. It’s all hush, hush. I can only call my own trusted reinforcements.”

“And you decided to call us?” Grayson asked.

She nodded. “You may not know it, but you’re the good guys in my eyes. I’m asking for your help.”

I watched her mannerisms and an accent came out when she seemed passionate about something. “You’re not from California.”

She looked up at me then. “New York. But I’ve been away from home for a long time.”

I nodded. “I know the feeling.”

“So you’ll help me?”

I smirked. “You pitch a good game, for a girl.” I looked over at Wolf and shrugged. “I’m in.”

“Me too.” Seconded Grayson.

Wolf seemed hesitant and his gaze went to the back staircase where it lead to his family. He was looking for a home now that he had two babies to think about. This wasn’t a place for them anymore. Not for kids anyway. Only big kids.

“Fine. I’ll do it. But I need a guarantee that if something happens to any member, their families will be kept safe.”

She nodded and reached out her hand. “You have my word.”

Wolf reached out and shook it, sealing the deal.
