Blue Alien Prince's Captive Bride: A Sci-Fi Alien Romance (Royally Blue - Celestial Mates Book 4) by Zara Zenia (4)

Chapter 4

Marissa

My eyes felt puffy and my nose was dripping from crying. It was perfect, because I was certain after Kadic came back and took one look at me, he would be appalled and want to send me on my way right back to Earth.

I didn’t care how many days or millions of miles away I was from home; my goal was to convince him that I shouldn’t be here and to allow me to return home.

The door creaked open and he walked back in the room again, still naked with his cock hanging and swinging with every step he took.

I winced and covered my eyes automatically. “I’m sorry, but do you think you could put on some pants? Where I come from, it’s not customary to walk around without clothes on.”

“Okay, I can put on some pants if it makes you more comfortable.” His eyes flashed with hurt as he handed me a plate of totally unidentifiable food.

“Thank you.” I smiled. I might as well try to kill him with kindness so he’d let me go home. If I angered him, I’d be screwed and probably be stuck here forever.

He left the room again to change into clothes and I examined the plate in front of me. There were strange red fruits with pointy skins and a long piece of a plant, which resembled aloe.

There was also something on the plate that looked like chicken, but I wouldn’t bet my life that it was actually chicken. I picked up a piece of the meat and it was warm. It felt fresh, but I was still a little hesitant to actually eat it. “What is this stuff?” I mumbled to myself as I poked at the fruits.

Even though I had no idea what this stuff was, I was ravenously hungry, since I’d apparently been knocked out for what I now realized had been a three-day flight.

Fresh anger crept through my veins as I thought about being tricked and drugged. Edgar, the nice driver, had drugged me with his chocolate and champagne, and I had been foolish enough to fall for it.

I took the piece of aloe-looking plant and reluctantly tipped it to my tongue, bravely taking a slight nibble. The texture was a little strange, but, amazingly, it was delicious. I took a hefty bite and chewed the glorious flavor.

I hungrily took a bite of the fruit, diving right in. It tasted like a cross between a watermelon and an apple. The meat that looked like chicken actually and surprisingly did taste like chicken, only better, because it also had the taste that it was covered in melted butter.

At least with food this delicious I wouldn’t starve if I had to remain on this planet for however long it would take to convince him to let me go home.

Kadic returned to the room and was wearing a pair of black pants, but still no shirt. I shrugged. Oh well, at least that was some progress.

I devoured the food on the plate while Kadic expressed his frustration at the situation.

“I thought you’d be willing to be my wife. Celestial Mates told me that you would be a perfect match for me. I was under the impression you wanted to get married and have children right away.”

I had to chuckle at the ridiculousness of all this, but I was angry at the Celestial Mates, just as he was. “I do want to get married and have children, but I thought I would be doing so back on Earth, and after I got to know the guy. I didn’t expect you to throw me on your bed and expect to get laid right then and there!”

I crossed my legs and laughed, feeling better having some food in my stomach.

He contemplated this for a moment and I could see the reality starting to sink in with him. “Is there any possible way you would be willing to stay here a few days, so I can at least show you around the planet and we can get to know each other?”

I felt sorry for him because he sounded desperate. Maybe he was lonely, too.

“I don’t know…”

He came closer to me on the bed, but he looked uneasy. “It’s really beautiful here. I can show you all the amazing sights and, who knows, maybe you’ll love it so much you won’t want to leave.”

I looked into his dark eyes. I had to admit, his facial features were handsome and he sure was built. Even through that surface attraction, I denied it. “I highly doubt that will happen.”

“You never know.” He grinned and his teeth flashed white. He had a tiny hint of a dimple on his left cheek. It was cute, yes—but I didn’t want to stay here on a different planet with an alien species where I didn’t know the language. I was lucky enough that he knew English.

I sighed and sat back against the pillows. I had become full quite quickly. “The food was great. I didn’t know what it was, and I wasn’t sure I would like the taste, but I was pleasantly surprised by the flavors.”

He gave me a shy grin and I could tell by the way his features lit up that he relished my compliment. “Thank you, I tried to give you some of my favorite delicacies.”

“Is it healthy?” I asked, not sure if he would understand.

“The food? Yes, very good for you, actually.”

I nodded and looked down at my empty plate. “Well, thanks again,” I said sheepishly.

“So, do you think you might want to plan a day out sightseeing with me tomorrow?” His voice rang with an air of hopefulness.

I guess I had to give him the benefit of the doubt. He genuinely seemed surprised and shocked to learn I was duped into coming here and drugged in the process. He honestly thought I’d come here of my own accord.

“Yeah, I suppose so,” I said climbing off the bed. “I guess I have to, no matter what.”

“Why is that?” He looked at me quizzically.

“Well, if the next ship doesn’t arrive for another week like you said, I might as well make the most of it. It’s not like many humans get to leave Earth and travel to another planet in another galaxy every day.”

He chuckled. “You have a point there, I suppose.”

I smiled at him. I would do my best to try to enjoy my time here while it lasted.
