CAIN (Hell's Lovers MC, #4) by Crimson Syn (6)

CHAPTER FIVE
SOPHIA

I lay there quietly. My hands threaded through his hair, my breasts beginning a slightly painful throb, our hearts beating wildly, and his cock still buried deep inside me. His cock was meant to be worshipped. It was one powerful tool and for the first time, I’d finally gotten what I’d been yearning for. Cain Scardino had made me cum all over him and I had wanted to. Shit, I’d even craved it.

His cum dripped out of me, and I had a fuzzy memory of begging him to cum inside me without a care in the world. At least I was on the pill. Besides, I hadn’t wanted it to end. He felt too good to let go. My whole body vibrated as I came down off my sexual high. He looked up at me then, and gave me a sly grin.

“You ever cum on a cock before, baby?”

I shook my head. “That was definitely a first.”

He furrowed his brow. “Fucking unbelievable,” he mumbled.

We stayed like that for a few minutes, him staring down at me, me staring back at him. Neither one of us said a word. We just lay there memorizing the other’s face as our heart rates came back down.

“Okay, sweetheart. I think you better get dressed. Wouldn’t want Jade coming in to see you like this.”

Immediately, he stood up, pulled up his pants and went back to work, organizing and sterilizing his equipment. I watched him closely as he put everything away, making sure to clean up every little item and enclose any unsanitary cloth.

I got up and spotted my shorts on top of one of the white cabinets. I looked over my shoulder at him and cleared my throat. He looked back at me and gave me a sly grin. “Sorry. I’ll get those for you.”

He reached up and my mouth watered at the sight of his back muscles rippling against his tank. My pussy reacted to him, screaming to let him in once again. He gently threw them back at me and continued on with what he was doing. I quickly buttoned up the shorts and when I went to put on my tank top I groaned in pain, forgetting what I had just done.

He quickly turned, concern in his eyes. “Are they sore?”

I nodded, carefully pulling my tank over them. He reached over and took two gauze pads out. He quickly lifted my tank and taped one to each breast making sure to be really gentle. He then pulled out a small cream, handing it to me. “Use this, it will soothe the pain. Clean every day, some girls do saltwater baths to help soothe them and keep down the swelling.”

I nodded quietly. He looked so powerful, yet he was gentle with me. The contrast was confusing, especially since he was acting as if nothing had just happened between us. I wanted to yell at him to tell me what he was thinking, but nothing would come of it, just the same awkward silence.

“Well, Jade will probably be here soon. I’ll wait outside.”

I turned to leave when I felt a hand on my arm. I turned to find a pair of hard steel blue eyes looking back at me. The look was dark, lust filled and hungry. “Don’t think I won’t come after you again, Sophia. I’ve had a taste of you and the next time I inflict pain on you, you’ll be begging me for more.”

With those words slipping from his tongue he turned and disappeared down the hallway. I stood in the empty room, shocked speechless.

LATER THAT AFTERNOON, I walked into the restaurant and nodded at Lucia, who was standing behind the hostess counter.

“Is he here?”

“He’s waiting for you in the back.”

I nodded and walked back to where Ramon sat waiting for me. He was eating tacos and flirting with the waitress as I slid into the booth.

I waited patiently, eying the young girl as she ignored me. When she was finished flirting, her eyes finally fell on me, widening as she blushed.

“Get the fuck out of here,” I whispered to her.

She nodded and scurried away. That was the only good thing about being Tuco Moreno’s wife, respect and fear came with the package.

“What did you find out?”

“They’re going on lockdown. Ryan Simon paid them a visit the other night. I saw them head to the back where the offices are.”

“Did you hear what was said?”

I shook my head and took a sip of his Margarita. “I just got there, Ramon. You think they’re gonna let me in on all their secrets?”

He leered at me and grabbed my wrist, sloshing the drink all over the table. “I sent you there to get me information not to play games.”

I yanked my hand away. “I’m not one of your goons that you can just order around. I do what I want when I want.”

He sneered at me. “I want more, Sophia. I’m not playing games.”

I looked over at the corner table, where some of the gang members were eating. It was always the same people, the same shit.

“Why don’t you get out of this, Ramon?” I reached over the table and grabbed his hand. I wanted us to leave. I’d asked him several times before. He knew I didn’t want to be here anymore and if it meant going with him, then better the devil you know, right? “Forget everything and we can go far away from here.”

He smirked and dragged his hand out from under hers. “Life isn’t one of your romance books, Sophia. Blood for blood is how debts are paid out here, Muñeca. Of course, you wouldn’t understand that. You live in that tightly sealed bubble I wrapped you in. So, since you don’t know, just do what I tell you to do.”

“They could kill me, Ramon! Don’t you get that?”

He shrugged. “You knew what you got into when you married me. This is my kingdom, Muñeca. You’re either with me, or you’re against me.”

He grabbed my wrist and squeezed tightly, making me flinch from the pain. “But don’t betray me, Sophia. If you do, you’ll be begging the Hell’s Lovers to kill you, just so you could escape me.”

I pulled my hand away from his grasp and stood up. Leaning down over him, I pressed my lips to his ear. “I hope you choke on those tacos.”

He smiled. “I love you too, Muñeca.”

I went back out to the street and made my way back to the apartment Tuco had set me up with. It was just on the edge of Los Perdidos’ turf, enough away so that the Hell’s Lovers wouldn’t suspect a thing. I had passed their background check since I had used my maiden name, Cruz. The apartment was also under my maiden name. Everything pointed to me being single, and God knows how I wish I was.

I plopped down on the bed and stared at the cracks in the ceiling. Closing my eyes, memories of Cain’s hands and his body flooded my senses. I pushed my hair back and groaned. If only I was alone, if only I didn’t have this curse placed over me, then I could be his.

I thought about telling him, but I was scared. Could he protect me from a man like Tuco? Could he forgive me? I’d have to wait. But one thing was for certain. I wasn’t going to give Ramon what he wanted. I wasn’t going to betray the one good thing that I had with this man. Hell’s Lovers or not, I wasn’t going to betray him.
