Alpha's Bad Boy: An Mpreg Romance (Trouble In Paradise Book 3) by Austin Bates (9)

"Just drop me off at my place, I'll walk over to your house for dinner later," instructed Ramos as he and Nacho headed out to the parking lot later that evening.

It had been a quiet afternoon at the station. Aguado had been waiting for them when they got back to the station and had immediately seized their notes and recordings from the interview with Logan. She'd taken them into the task force HQ and they hadn't seen her again. The rest of their day had been spent filling out paperwork and fielding calls.

They had gone to a few different disturbances around La Bonita to interview people and take notes. For the most part, however, it had just been a paperwork kind of day. Now it was nearly over and Ramos was glad for it. He was in desperate need of a shower and a beer

He'd spent the entire afternoon shoving thoughts of Logan, and the cell phone in his pocket, out of his mind.

The main street in front of the police station was crowded, as usual, which is why most of the regular patrols used bicycles and mopeds in order to cover their routes. Getting out of the parking lot alone could take up to five minutes in a full sized vehicle. But the ability to sit back in an air conditioned environment and watch the world go by was something that Nacho valued. He'd bought the car several years back and, despite the fact that it was difficult to wade through the foot traffic, he insisted on driving it everywhere he possibly could.

Unless, of course, they were in a hurry like they had been when they'd gone to the soup kitchen yesterday. Ramos hadn't been certain how long Logan would take to try and lose his tail. He'd been eager to get to the soup kitchen ahead of him so they'd jogged through the foot traffic and made good time.

Now, however, the car crawled as the sea of tourists and locals milling around outside their favorite clubs, waiting for them to open, slowly parted to let them through.

It took about ten more minutes before they were able to reach the side streets where foot traffic was less prevalent. The drive went quickly after that. What had been a long walk for Ramos that morning was just a short drive.

"Don't be late," Nacho warned as they pulled to a stop out front of Ramos' house.

"Don't worry. I wouldn't miss Henrietta's fish tacos for the world," Ramos reassured him as he climbed out of the car. He stood still in the driveway and watched as Nacho drove away.

Ramos took a deep breath. The salt air was something he never grew tired of. It was so much a part of him now that when he visited parts of the island where the scent was less potent he felt like part of him was missing. He needed that sea breeze and the sound of waves on the shore.

The palm trees swayed as a slight wind kicked up.

There'd been a small storm just a few days ago. The power had gone out, but not much damage had been done. There were still a few palm fronds that had been knocked loose, laying along the sides of the road, but for the most part everything had been returned to the way it was before.

The news reports said there was a much larger storm due to hit them by the end of the week. Ramos looked up at the clear blue sky overhead and sighed. He hated storms more than anything else in the world. There was nothing, and no one, he hated more than that violent combination of wind and rain.

He made his way indoors and tried to focus on something else. He didn't want to worry about something that wasn't going to happen for a few more days. What he needed right now was a shower.

The cool, quiet, interior of his house was welcoming. The slight change in air pressure as he opened the front door felt as if he was being enveloped by a sense of calm. He may not have spent much time here, but it was his still his sanctuary. Everything was at peace within the walls of his home.

Making his way to the bedroom, he began peeling off his clothes and tossing them on the bed. As he emptied his pockets, his fingers closed around the cell phone he'd stashed there. Logan's cell phone.

For a moment, his heart skipped a beat. He still wasn't sure why he'd kept the phone from Logan. The smirking little omega had been giving him a hard time in more ways than one. He'd told himself that Logan needed to chill out and take things a little more seriously before his phone was returned to him. He'd told himself that he wasn't keeping it because he was still a little curious about the pictures that Logan had hinted about.

Ramos sat on the edge of the bed. His shirt, shoes, and socks were off. He looked down at the cell phone and could feel his heart beat in his throat. He really shouldn't.

His fingers hovered over the darkened screen of the device. His thoughts were strangely quiet.

Before he could stop himself, he brought the cell phone to life.

He quickly swiped at the screen, located the photo album, and hit it.

The photos tiled across the screen in a parade that would live forever in Ramos' mind. He tapped on the first one to enlarge it. His heart was hammering in his chest.

Logan reclined, nude, in a chair. His arm extended above himself as he took the picture from a high enough angle to capture both his large blue eyes and his slender, hairless, body. He must have shaved and waxed every inch of himself.

Ramos could feel his body twitch as his arousal came to life. The thought of Logan's smooth, soft skin underneath his hands was beginning to make him sweat. His heart was pounding so fast that he thought it might burst out of his chest. Underneath it all, he felt a growing desire in the pit of his stomach. Desire mixed with guilt to form an intoxicating mixture that left him feeling almost drunk.

His finger hovered over the screen as he traced the curves of Logan's body with his eyes. All he had to do was swipe his finger across the screen to see more of the omega's luscious little body. Just one simple movement was all it would take. The anticipation bubbling within him was so strong it made his hands tremble. He wanted this. Despite everything that told him he shouldn't, despite everything holding him back, he wanted to see more.

Before he could touch the screen, his brain interjected. He shut the phone off and tossed it onto the bed.

The heat beneath his skin ebbed away and was replaced with icy guilt.

Logan was an informant. Even if he wasn't worried about complications of revealing his sexuality, there was no way that Ramos could allow himself to get involved with an informant. Not only was it inappropriate, but if anyone learned the truth it could potentially undermine the veracity of Logan's information.

Ramos rubbed the back of his head in frustration as he climbed to his feet. His heart was still hammering in his chest. Despite the guilt rampaging through him, he knew one thing to be truth.

He was interested in Logan. It was more than just the result of denying himself a healthy sexual relationship for so long. He wanted to get to know him. He wanted to protect him, to be the one that Logan ran to for protection. The very thought made Ramos' chest feel as if it was about to burst. He wanted to make Logan his, the way an alpha should.

That thought brought a strange sense of clarity to him as he finished preparing for his shower. He knew what he wanted, now he needed to go get it.

Ramos was distracted throughout dinner. Henrietta's food was delicious as usual, but he couldn't focus on the conversation. There were too many conflicting emotions running through him for him to be much of a conversationalist. He may have made up his mind about what he wanted, but getting it was another problem entirely.

Henrietta loaded him down with leftovers after dinner and Nacho offered to give him a ride home. It was already after dark and the road home was a bit long. Ramos remembered muttering something about needing to get some air and clear his head before setting out on his way. Bag of leftovers in one hand, his feet carried him back towards home.

At some point, however, Ramos found himself walking a different path. Winding his way through the darkness of the La Bonita streets, it took him a moment to realize where he was headed. The hotel where they'd left Logan cut an intimidating silhouette against the night sky. The building was nowhere near that impressive in the raw daylight.

His heart rate had increased again as he knocked on Logan's door. He could hear the sound of the television within and wondered, absently, how thin the walls were between the rooms. The very thought made him blush out to his ears. He tried to regain his composure before the door opened.

Logan was wearing the clothes Ramos had brought him earlier. The T-shirt was a little big, but the jeans looked like they fit him just right. They locked eyes and Ramos could see a question on Logan's face.

"I...I uh, I brought you your phone," said Ramos as he entered the hotel room and shut the door.

"You didn't have to rush over here this late," said Logan, looking at him with uncertainty as Ramos handed him the cell phone. He immediately switched it on and was confronted with nude images of himself. "I see you took a peek after all." Logan looked up at him with a grin.

"I didn't, that must've been the techs." Ramos silently cursed himself for lying. He had decided to be an alpha. To do what alphas did and claim the omega as his. Why then was he cowering like an idiot and hiding behind obvious lies?

"Uh huh." Logan saw right through the thin veil of a lie, but didn't immediately call him on it. He just smirked and paced back towards the bed. He switched off the television and looked back at Ramos expectantly.

"Why don't you tell me why you really came here?" Logan folded his arms and cocked his head.

Ramos set the bag of leftovers on the floor and turned back towards the door. His hand hovered over the lock for a moment of indecision. He set his jaw. Tonight he was going to be an alpha. He locked the door and turned back towards Logan.

The omega's expression seemed to brighten at the look in Ramos' eye. That was all the encouragement the alpha needed.

Ramos crossed the room in three large strides and pulled Logan into his arms. Their lips met like waves crashing upon the shore. A tide of heat and urgency flooded through them both. Arms entwined around one another as they staggered back towards the bed and collapsed onto it. Their needy kisses were uninterrupted by the fall as their hands pressed into one another.

He had worried that his inexperience with men would show, but Ramos was relieved that this didn't seem to be the case. At least, Logan didn't seem to kiss or caress any different than any of his previous sexual partners had. Somewhat emboldened by this knowledge, Ramos rolled to the side and pinned Logan beneath himself. Though fully clothed, their erections pressed into one another as they ground together.

"I didn't think you had it in you to go this far, detective," breathed Logan as their lips parted. He grinned up with a cocky expression that sent a thrill through Ramos' loins.

"You talk too much," breathed Ramos as he pressed his lips against Logan's once more.

To Ramos' surprise, the omega wasn't content to remain pinned below him. Logan pushed against him, wiggling free as their positions were reversed. He straddled Logan's hips and ground his body against the alpha’s. "You didn't think I was just going to let you take the lead, did you?" teased Logan as the lower half of his body gyrated mesmerizingly.

"I...we..." Ramos found it difficult to speak as his body was teased by Logan's movements. He'd never found himself challenged for position before. He was uncertain how to proceed, but the taunting expression on Logan's face made him want to take control once more.

He tackled the omega to the bed, much to Logan's apparent glee, and they struggled for a moment. Their lips never ceased kissing any exposed skin. They cast aside one another's clothing, peeling off shirts, pulling away pants, and exposing more of themselves to each other's lips and hands.

"Do you want me?" breathed Logan as he lay, naked, on the bed. His slender body was even more enticing than it had been in photo. As Ramos kneeled, naked, above him, he couldn't help but feel his heart in his throat. The haze of lust and desire parted and, for a moment, doubt entered his mind.

He felt himself tremble slightly.

Logan leaned up and pressed a palm against Ramos' chest. "Stay with me here," he said. His voice was surprisingly soft. "Right now, it's just us. Enjoy this moment with me."

Ramos looked into those blue eyes and began to feel a little more grounded in reality. Nothing mattered outside of this moment. Everything would be okay. He kissed Logan's forehead and the omega relaxed onto the bed with a satisfied grin.

"Do you want me?" Logan repeated.

Ramos swallowed hard and nodded, not trusting himself to speak.

“Then you’re going to have to get down there and get me ready.” Logan grinned and glanced down toward his waist.

It took Ramos a moment before he realized what the omega was talking about. He frowned in distaste.

“Just give it a try before you go making faces like that,” instructed Logan. “I took a shower, I’m clean, you’ve got nothing to worry about. But if you want to bury that thick erection of yours inside this sweet little ass then you’re going to have to do some work.”

Ramos set his jaw. His body was straining for relief from the pressure building within him. If he prolonged this too much longer it would start to become painful. His eyes met Logan’s and the omega’s wicked grin sent a flare of annoyance through Ramos. He had no choice.

Moving down between Logan’s thighs, Ramos decided that the best course of action would be to proceed as quickly as possible. He didn’t even give himself a chance to process the scenario before darting his head forward and drawing his tongue across Logan’s skin. The omega lifted his legs slightly in response, allowing Ramos better access to his tight, sensitive, little hole.

The alpha hesitated for only the briefest of moments before instinct took over. He pressed back Logan’s slender ass and slipped his tongue downward.

Logan’s breath caught in his throat with an audible sigh of pleasure despite Ramos’ unskilled motions. Encouraged by Logan’s reaction, Ramos eagerly slid his tongue around and probed at Logan. His skin tasted clean and the faint scent of soap clung to him. This only allowed Ramos to relax and further focus on the task at hand.

Without prompting from Logan, he slid a single finger into that warm, dark hole. The reaction from Logan was a hiss of pleasure as his body tightened up from the unexpected intrusion. He quickly relaxed and curled his fingers into Ramos’ hair encouraging him to continue. Slowly, Ramos added another finger and continued to eagerly slide his tongue across Logan’s exposed flesh.

“Not bad for a newbie,” Logan purred after a minute. “Care to move on?”

Ramos eagerly straightened himself and moved between the omega's legs. "Yes," he said as he entered the warmth of Logan's body. The feeling itself was more than he'd been prepared for. It pressed him towards the edge of his climax more quickly than he had anticipated. He looked down at Logan, the last thing he wanted was to disappoint him.

"Don't worry," said Logan as if reading his thoughts. "This is your first time with a man, right? I know I'm a little overwhelming," he grinned in that self-assured way he always seemed to manage. "Don't worry about going all out."

His words inspired Ramos to press forward with reckless abandon. He took hold of Logan's thighs and began to thrust. His movements seemed to sync with the bucking of Logan's hips. The omega's impassioned cries filled his ears and egged him on. Ramos was holding back, trying to last for as long as possible.

It was a losing battle. His lack of experience, the tightness of Logan's body, the hot, lust-filled, moans all worked against him him and pushed him ever closer to the edge. Eager, breathless, and crying out in unison with the omega, Ramos' orgasm rocked him to his core and left him feeling light headed but satisfied.

"Are you happy with yourself?" Logan's somewhat annoyed tone yanked him back to reality.

Frowning, worried that he'd done something wrong, he looked down at his companion. Logan was grinning up at him.

"Look at this mess," continued Logan as he indicated his softening erection and the sticky mess that covered his belly. "This is your fault."

Ramos couldn't help the feeling of pride that swelled in his chest. He didn't think he would last long enough for Logan to climax as well. Not bad for his first time with another man. It was more than that though. He felt something he hadn't felt in any of his previous sexual encounters. He wasn't sure if it was because of Logan, or because he'd finally embraced his role as an alpha, but there was a deeply satisfying feeling that reverberated through him in that moment.

"Come on," said Logan, reaching up and pressing the palm of his hand against Ramos' chest. "Let's go take a shower."
