Finn

“What happened?”

Aaron’s whispered voice froze me. “Don’t shut me out.”
I closed my eyes, took a deep breath, then said, “Let’s get cleaned up first… then we can talk.”
I didn’t wait for him to reply before I ran out of the room, determined to hide in a bathroom for a few minutes for the second time that day.
