I woke in a bland dark room. My eyes struggled to focus on the gray walls. My arm was sore and it’s then I remembered the needle.

They’d knocked me out, sedated me and taken me here.

Here…wherever here was…

I was on a bed, and as I shook the fog from my head, managed to get up on my elbow and look around. There wasn’t much to see.

There was a door on the far wall that matched the walls, which I now saw were concrete. There was an opening in the wall to my left, with no door, that led to a small bathroom with a stall shower with no curtain and a toilet.

It was a cell. They’d put me quite obviously in a cell and by the looks of things, escape wasn’t a possibility.

It was almost too much to wrap my head around. I’d been sold.

I’d gone through with Chuck’s plan, which was completely out of character, and even that hadn’t gone how it was supposed to go. I’d met Aiden, and my entire life was turned upside down. A future had been laid out in front of me, and then ripped away.

It wasn’t fair!

I stumbled to my feet and made my way to the bathroom. There wasn’t even a sink, so I ran the water in the shower. When I looked down at my clothes, I saw I was wearing a bland set of turquoise pants with a matching shirt. They almost looked like scrubs.

I felt like vomiting as I realized someone must have dressed me while I was out cold.

Tossing the clothes aside, I climbed into the shower and sat beneath the water, curling into a ball and wrapping my arms around my knees.

I was a captive.

A prisoner.

I tried to imagine my arms were Aiden’s – tried to recall his sweet scent. My heart ached as I remembered how it felt to lie beside him, how he felt inside me, and the way his voice felt as he whispered in my ear.

It wasn’t even the fact that I was here or that I’d been taken that was really getting to me. It was that I knew he was out there, wondering what had happened to me, if he’d ever see me again – and that I knew he wouldn’t.

Suddenly, the sound of enormous metallic bolts unlocking came from the door to my room, and I looked up as I heard the sound of footsteps.

“Well, well, well,” a voice spoke, and I recognized it as that of my new owner. “Getting clean for daddy are we—?”

A man appeared, dressed in a pair of expensive black pants with a dark maroon shirt open at the collar. He was disgustingly obese, with speckled chest hair and an unlit cigar in his mouth. A gaudy gold watch hung from his thick wrist and his greasy black hair was slicked back on top of his egg-shaped head. He grinned at me in a way that sent a shiver down my spine.

“Aren’t you just the cutest little thing?” he said, using his meaty hand to massage a bulge in his pants that was steadily growing. “My name’s Pablo. Don’t ask me why. I’m fucking Italian, but there ya go. And boy, can I not wait to get this fat dick inside you.”

I shivered again. Despite the warmth of the water, I felt suddenly cold. This was it. I don’t know what I’d expected, but I didn’t think my new owner would show up this soon to take what he had bought.

“You know I never get tired of virgins,” he said, rolling up his sleeves like he was about to get in a fight. He slid out of his loafers and started to step closer until he was in the bathroom looking down on me. “Being the first one inside that sweet little hole…well, I feel like Columbus discovering the new world!”

He took another step forward, reached out and switched off the shower. As the water dripped off me, Pablo closed his eyes, tilted his head back and sniffed the air. His enormous nostrils twitched, and as he caught my scent, I started to panic.

A confused look crossed his face. He sniffed again.

“What…?”

His nostrils started working overtime and finally he looked down at me.

“What the fuck!?” With a speed that didn’t make sense to his size, Pablo snatched me by the wrist and pulled me to my feet. He buried his nose in my neck and inhaled.

“What the fuck!?” he roared. “You’re in fucking heat! They said you’d never had your fucking heat! Someone fuck you?”

I didn’t know how to answer. Lying felt the most natural. Telling the truth seemed dangerous. Right now he had a use for me – but if he didn’t…

“Answer me!” he snarled, slapping me with his thick hand. My cheek stung and the blow spun me halfway around. Before I could recover, he had his hands on my throat.

“Answer me, you omega scum!”

“Y-yes!” I gasped.

“Someone fucked you!?”

The way he said that...

Fucked you…

It drove me wild. Aiden didn’t fuck me, he took me as his and made love to me, claimed me and rocked my world to its foundations. And I was taken, bought and sold to this disgusting monster to be used as a breeder for his pack.

My anger swelled within me and I yelled back at him.

“Yes, you son of a bitch! Someone fucked me already! I don’t belong to you!”

And with that, I spat in his face. The look of shock on his face was worth the blow I received. He slammed his fist into my stomach and as I doubled over, followed it up with a left hook across my cheek, driving me to the floor.

I lay there beneath him, panting, naked and terrified, gasping for breath as the pain in my abs spread to my chest.

“Pheromone blockers,” he mused as he slid back into his shoes. He pulled his cell phone from his pocket and sent a text to someone. “Fucking Marcellus…”

Almost instantly, two men appeared at the door.

“Get rid of this trash,” Pablo told them. “Get him out of my sight.”

I tried to back away, but it was hopeless. My abs were contracted so hard from Pablo’s punch, that all I could do was squirm as the men raced over to me.

One threw a bag over my head, and I felt the familiar sting on my arm as a needle pierced my skin.

“Say night-night,” one of them whispered as the familiar darkness came over me.
