Curtis by Nicole Edwards (25)

chapter THIRTY-TWO

WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 17, 1973

Curtis always knows how to surprise a girl. Only, sometimes his idea of a surprise involves very little clothing. Not that I’m complaining.

Curtis awoke to the smell of bacon coming from the kitchen. He glanced at the clock on the bedside table. Five forty-five a.m.

Shaking his head, he got to his feet, not bothering to put on clothes as he stumbled sleepily into the kitchen to find Lorrie standing at the stove, frying bacon in a pan.

“What’re you doin?” he grumbled from behind her, planting his hand on the doorjamb.

She didn’t bother to look at him when she said, “Makin’ breakfast. What does it look like I’m doin’?”

She didn’t sound happy, and he couldn’t imagine what could have her so upset before six o’clock in the morning.

Leaning his shoulder against the jamb, he crossed his arms over his chest, letting his gaze rake over her. She looked pretty in her long nightgown, the one that practically covered every inch of her body. She insisted on wearing it to bed since it was so cold outside, but he rarely allowed that to happen. After all, it was a proven fact that sharing body heat kept you warmer than clothing. Or that was his excuse, at least.

His eyes traveled down to her pretty little toes, then started back up again. His dick had taken notice of her, as well, and was quickly hardening, a fact he couldn’t hide because he was still completely naked.

“Why’re you cookin’?” he asked.

She snapped her head over as though she was about to rip him a new one, but her mouth merely made a perfect little O when she noticed he was standing there in his birthday suit.

“You’re naked,” she said.

“I am.”

“Why?” she countered.

“Because it’s too damn early to be up, and I was plannin’ to take you back to bed with me.”

“I don’t wanna go back to bed.”

“Then have it your way,” he said, dropping his arms and moving toward her.

Lorrie backed up against the counter beside the stove. Without thinking about it, Curtis reached over and turned off the gas burner, then stalked her until he was pressing his body against hers.

“The bacon’s gonna be ruined,” she said, but there wasn’t a whole lot of worry in her tone.

“I don’t give a damn about the bacon.”

He fisted her nightgown in his hands as he leaned in and kissed her, slowly bunching it up until he could feel the warmth of her stomach against his hard-on.

“Mmm,” he mumbled, brushing his lips over hers. “Since you don’t wanna go back to bed, I’m just gonna have to turn you around and fuck you right here in the kitchen.”

“We can go to the bedroom,” she said quickly.

“Nope.” Pulling back, he smiled down at her. “You had your chance.”

Before she could argue, Curtis lifted her nightgown up and over her head, then tossed it onto the kitchen table. She was still staring wide-eyed back at him, but she had yet to complain, so he kept going.

“Turn around,” he ordered, planting his hands on her hips and guiding her to do what he wanted. “Now put your hands right there on the edge of the sink.”

Her fingers curled over the edge.

Leaning against her, he ground his erection between them, his hands sliding over her breasts, her stomach, then lower. He stopped at the apex of her thighs, dipping his fingers into her panties.

“Curtis.” She wobbled slightly.

“Don’t let go of the counter.”

He proceeded to tease her, circling her clitoris with his finger, then dipping two inside her while he kissed her neck and shoulder. He wasn’t in a hurry, and if she wanted to be up at six o’clock in the morning, he was going to give her a reason to be.

Right now.

As much as Lorrie wanted to hang on to her anger, it wasn’t that easy. Especially when Curtis was naked, standing behind her while he teased her relentlessly.

She had long ago stopped thinking that she could resist him, regardless of her mood. When the man set his sights on her, pushing him off was futile. Not that he wouldn’t leave her alone if she asked, but she couldn’t find it in herself to do so.

Every dirty word that came out of that man’s mouth made her ache for him, desperation coiling inside, pulling tight. She could never get enough of him.

“Ahh, sweet girl. I love how wet you get for me.”

Lorrie pushed back against him, wishing he would take the hint.

Apparently that was the wrong thing to do, because he pulled back, his hands disappearing. She started to turn, trying to figure out what he was doing, but he put his big, warm hand in the center of her back.

“Don’t take your hands off the counter,” he repeated roughly.

She gripped the counter tighter until her knuckles turned white.

His lips trailed from her shoulder, down the center of her back. Tingles ignited in her limbs, making her tremble. Her back was probably one of her most sensitive spots, and Curtis knew that.

He continued lower while she faced the window that overlooked the creek behind the house. It was still dark outside, so she saw only her reflection staring back. Her hair was a mess, but she didn’t even care.

Curtis’s hands gripped her hips and pulled her backward, forcing her to move her feet.

“Don’t move your hands,” he reminded her.

She didn’t, stepping back until she was practically bent over. He stopped her, then she felt his callused fingers slip beneath her panties as he tugged them down her hips, her legs. When they reached the floor, she didn’t dare move, but she didn’t have to. He then positioned one of her feet farther from the other, forcing her to widen her stance.

“Mmm,” he said, his voice trailing up to her ears. “Such a pretty pussy.”

Sometimes she wondered if it was wrong of her to want him to say these dirty things, but when she tried to think that it was wrong, she couldn’t quite convince herself. Everything he did, everything he said always made her feel incredibly good, so she’d learned to accept her sexuality, her desires.

“Oh my…!” His tongue took her by surprise, the warmth of it sweeping between her legs, lashing at her clitoris. “Curtis…” Her knees trembled, but he held her thighs, keeping her upright while he feasted on her, making her body burn hotter, brighter, until the only things she saw were flashes of light behind her eyelids, her orgasm sneaking up on her, then shattering until she was floating.

She realized she wasn’t actually floating, that Curtis had wrapped his arms around her and was keeping her upright while he moved behind her.

“Stay with me, baby. Keep your hands on the counter. I’ve gotta be inside you. Right now.”

Lorrie did her best, holding on while her butt was thrust back against his hips. In one swift movement, he was inside her, filling her so completely. His pelvis slammed forward before retreating, his hands gripping her hips hard enough to bruise, but it was exactly what she needed. Everything she’d bottled up, all of the emotions, the feelings, they were set free as he used her body, bringing her to the brink once again as he fucked her hard and deep.

“You gonna come for me again?” he asked.

“Mmm-hmm.” She bit her bottom lip, keeping her legs locked, enjoying the friction, the glorious way he stretched her as he pounded her from behind.

“I wanna hear you scream my name, Lorrie.” Curtis grunted, his fingers tightening a little more on her hips. “Say my name when you come, baby.”

“Harder,” she pleaded, her voice hardly recognizable.

“Oh, fuck, baby.” Curtis continued to drive into her, over and over, faster, deeper.

Finally, her orgasm crested, a brilliant explosion of electricity that radiated outward from where he filled her. “Curtis… Oh, yes… Curtis! I’m there!”

“Fuck, yes.” He continued to thrust, filling her, driving deeper, harder, several more times as his fingers dug into her flesh. And then he was groaning, mumbling her name over and over as he exploded inside her.

As she stood there, trying to remember why she’d been so upset before he’d come in, she decided it didn’t matter. And if it did, she hoped he figured out the same way she had that that was a surefire way to improve her mood.
