Double Crossed ((A Cobras MC Novella)) by Colbie Kay (7)

Chapter Seven

I drive around for a while because I have nowhere to go; I can’t go home because I don’t want Mom to see me like this: puffy, bloodshot eyes and a splotchy face. She would know something is wrong, and I couldn’t handle her ridicule or questioning right now. So, I drive and drive until I come to an all-night diner named Ma and Pop’s Place.

Parking my car, I walk in and the bell on the door rings, letting them know they have a new customer.

“Take a seat and I’ll be with you in a second,” a woman yells out from the kitchen. Choosing the bar, I take a seat on one of the stools.

“How can I help you?” A woman in a waitress uniform stands in front of me. She looks to be in her early forties; she has kind eyes.

“I’ll just have a water, please.” I fidget with my fingers. I had nowhere else to go, but I have no money to buy anything.

“I’m Ma in this fine establishment. You look like you need some comfort food, and that’s what you’re about to get.” Snapping my eyes up to her, I see that her kind smile matches her eyes and it makes me feel a little better that I have someone here willing to be so nice.

“I don’t have any money, though.” I bite my bottom lip, hoping she doesn’t kick me out.

“I didn’t ask if you had money.” She squeezes my hand for a second, then walks back to the kitchen.

She wasn’t kidding about the comfort food! I had the biggest and best bacon cheeseburger and fries I’ve ever had, and then a piece of the best fresh-baked cherry pie with two scoops of vanilla ice cream. My belly is so full, but every time I think about what happened tonight, I want to vomit.

A rumbling so loud it shakes the windows catches my attention, which is now directed outside. It drowns out my thoughts about Snake.  A row of motorcycles park and people start walking through the door. I’m ready to jump up and run, but then I notice they aren’t the Cobras. The men are wearing similar black vests, but theirs say Satan’s Sinners on the back.

I try not to focus on them, but it’s hard when they’re being so loud. Every time I look over in that direction, a girl not much older than me is staring in my direction. I don’t keep eye contact with her; I drop my head back down and sip on my Pepsi, stirring the straw around in the tall glass.

“Hey!”

I look up; it’s her, and now she’s taking a seat on the stool right next to me. “Hi,” I reply curtly. Her cheery mood is annoying right now.

“Josie.” Her hand comes out for me to shake.

“Victoria.” I shake her hand, then ask, “Can I help you with something?”

“No, you just looked like you could use some company.” She smiles brightly.

“Thank you, but I haven’t had the best night, so I’d rather be left alone.” I go back to swirling my straw.

“The way you’re looking…no one should be left alone looking like that. Did your dog die or something?”

“Or something. I found out my boyfriend cheated and got her pregnant.”

“Ouch! Did you kick their asses? Well, his anyway.”

“No, but I did tell her off. Of all people, it was my best friend.” I don’t know why I’m telling her all this, but, oddly, getting it off my chest is making me feel somewhat better. Yet making it all the more real.

“Now that is just fucking wrong! Guess she was never really a friend to begin with—and I’d kick her ass for you, after the baby, ya’ know.” That makes me laugh a little. “You got somewhere to be, Victoria?”

“No.” I shake my head and drink the last of my drink.

“We were just getting some food to-go, why don’t you come hang out with us?”

“I guess I could for a little while. I’ll follow you.” Why not live a little? She seems nice, so what could it hurt making a new friend?

I believe that sometimes people are brought into your life at certain times when you need them most. You may not realize it at that moment, but they enter your world for a reason. When this blue-eyed blonde took time to sit with me because I looked like I needed a friend, I knew without a doubt Josie was that person for me.

She lays a tray of shot glasses on the tabletop. “Alright, Victoria, you need to loosen up a little.” She shakes her body around and then starts dancing like a robot about to break down.

A burst of laughter filters out of me and it’s a good feeling, to know that I am still capable of laughing when I am dying inside.

“Sit down!” I exclaim through bouts of laughter, wiping the tears from my eyes.

She plops down in the chair across from me, breathing heavy through her laughter. The bar at the Satan’s Sinners clubhouse is different than the Cobras. They don’t have the pole that naked women dance around, and there aren’t drugs covering the tables.

She points to the tray of shot glasses on the table. “Here’s to loosening up with all my favorite men. Well, besides Ryder.” She smiles and winks at me. We look over at the bar counter, where Ryder and Bulk are sitting. Josie introduced me to them when we first got here; said they are best friends and patched-in members.

Ryder is Josie’s boyfriend; when he called Josie his Ol’ Lady, I questioned why. She said it is a respect thing. Soon after that, she started teaching me the lingo of the club. Snake never talked much about club stuff with me. I still don’t understand a lot of it, but I’m learning.

We both pick up the first shot glass. Josie starts speaking. “To Jim, Jack, Jameson, Johnnie, and Jose.” She holds her shot in the air as she continues. “May they keep you warm and cozy, give you tingles and fire, and pass you strength to kick a whore’s ass.” Another round of laughter rumbles out of me. We take the shot and I hiss out as the burn goes down my throat. One right after the other, we do the line of shots, and by the last one I’m feeling a bit intoxicated.

“Let’s dance.” She smiles wickedly and holds out her hand. I stand a little too quickly, making my head spin from all the shots, and I need to blink a few times to get my vision focused. Josie leads me onto the dance floor. We sway our bodies to the music and I throw my arms in the air. I’m not sure what I look like right now, but I don’t care. I’m having too much fun.

After a couple of songs, we start walking towards the bar in a fit of drunken giggles. “That was so fun!”

Suddenly, my foot trips over the other. I start tumbling towards the ground and I reach out, grabbing for anything that will stop my fall, but nothing is there. Closing my eyes, I brace myself as I head face-first into the concrete floor—but suddenly I’m not falling anymore. Two strong arms are wrapped around me, and I’m lifted and pulled against his chest.

Slowly opening one glassy eye, I am met with Bulk’s sexy smirk. I start to smile, but it fades as I search his gaze, seeing lust and desire deep within—and just a hint of amusement. Swallowing hard, I try to right myself, but he doesn’t let go. Bulk pulls me in close and whispers against my ear, “Let’s go talk.” My foggy brain can’t think of a single word to say, so I just nod.

Bulk is a gorgeous man with his whiskey colored eyes, powerful muscles, and tattoos. His full beard makes you just want to pull him close and touch his kissable lips with yours. I never thought I would be the kind of girl to have a one-night stand, but would it be so bad? Snake and I are over. I’m drunk; mix that with a broken heart and maybe it’s exactly what I need right now. Besides, if Snake could do it, why can’t I?

“Night, Victoria.” Josie gives me a wink and a knowing smile to match.

“Night.” I smile back while shaking my head. I didn’t even see Bulk bend down, but as I’m thrown over his shoulder, I shriek in surprise and yell for him to put me down. Everyone’s laughter can be heard all the way to Bulk’s room, including his.

Bulk stomps towards me with a heated glare. He wraps his arm around my waist and I gulp hard when he pulls me against his chest. I gaze into his eyes, frozen as he bends slightly and his lips collide with mine. The kiss becomes frantic and a need takes over inside of me. His other hand goes underneath my dress, touching my bare skin and sending electric shocks straight to my core. My arms wrap around his neck, keeping him close, and then I’m lifted into the air, our mouths never parting the entire time.

My legs wrap around his hips and one of his hands tightly grips my butt cheek. Bulk moves me up and down against his jeans, but my dress makes it easy to feel how hard his erection is behind his zipper. Releasing his neck, I move my hands down between us to undo his jeans. I free him and wrap my hand around his long wide cock, the realization that he is huge hitting me. Maybe that’s why he’s called Bulk—he has a huge package.

He groans at the feel of my hand stroking him up and down. My thumb lightly touches the protruding vein and I move along until I reach the tip. The small circles I making have Bulk moaning in pleasure; beads of his precum wet my thumb.

Bulk pushes my hand away; his mouth leaves mine. “You gotta stop or this will be over way too fuckin’ soon.” His mouth latches onto my neck; his hot, wet tongue touches my flesh and runs a path down to the neckline of my t-shirt. “You got way too many clothes on. Time to change that.” He spins us around, and then I’m thrown down on the bed.

He works quickly at freeing us both of the offending material, and then crawls over my body. He spreads my thighs wide open and, gripping himself at the base of his cock, he rubs the tip through my slit. My head goes back and my body arches when his thumb touches my sensitive spot.

The more and more he rubs and flicks, the closer my orgasm gets. I cry out, “Please don’t stop.” I move my hips in tempo with his fingers, searching for my much-needed release. “No,” I practically scream when his thumb stops.

“Don’t worry. I got you.” He enters me slowly at first, and then, in a controlled and deliberate way, he sets his rhythm. “Fuck! You feel good.” His mouth kisses, licks, and sucks my breasts in such a tantalizing way.

I succumb to every feeling my body is experiencing in this moment. “More,” I beg. My hips moving to meet his every thrust, I push for him to give me all he can. And he does. Our sweaty bodies grind together as we grow closer and closer.

My nails rake over his back, digging in to his skin, and his fist grips the comforter as he cages me in underneath him. I cry out, he groans, we call out each other’s names, and then his thumb finally lands on the spot he abandoned earlier: my clit.

A few circles and flicks leave my body shaking uncontrollably. I scream out as my release hits and it completely overtakes me. Bulk follows soon after, growling out his own orgasm.

He falls beside me and pulls me in close. For a while it’s quiet, neither of us saying a word as we stare at the ceiling. Finally, I decide to speak.

“I’m not looking for a relationship or anything, so you don’t have to worry. This should probably be a one-time thing anyway. I don’t sleep with men I just meet, well except for you.” I start rambling because I don’t know how to just have sex with no strings attached, but I don’t want this to be awkward.

“Shut up.” He laughs and pulls me in for a kiss. “This can be whatever you want it to be. How about we just see how shit goes? I can tell you ain’t that type, so let’s just say if you want to have sex then come to me and I’ll do the same. Now don’t worry so much and get some sleep.”

I don’t respond, but I do eventually fall asleep.
