I Am the Boss Here: An Alpha Male Romance by Claire Angel (2)

Chapter 2

Tyson

The top of the food chain is where I’m at. It starts and ends with one encouraging word from me.

This lady in front of me has all the attributes, but that’s not going to be enough. The lights are shining on the casting couch and nobody can do anything without scrutiny.

Tamara Brown has me thankful the desk in front of me is hiding my excitement. She has this sweetness right off the boat. It’s naïve to think she can go anywhere in this business without her legs in the air. I have to tread very carefully and not upset her delicate sensibility.

“I appreciate your enthusiasm and coming here was the next logical step. I’m doing a favour for a family friend to even entertain having you in my office. You are relatively green. I’ll make some phone calls on your behalf and circulate your name with the movers and shakers. Don’t be surprised when you get a phone call, but what you do after you get through the door is entirely up to you,” I hint, hoping she would understand my underlying meaning without having to come out and say it.

She leans forward and there’s no way she doesn’t know the effect she has on men. It’s a little reckless.

I can’t seem to stop thinking about Michelle. I really did think she was going to wash out on her first few days, but she surprised me. I know it’s inappropriate to have these thoughts, but she has only herself to blame.

“It’s all about knowing people who can open those doors. I know it’s not fair for me to take advantage of your friendship with my father. I learned never to let sentiment stand in the way. I promise I won’t disappoint you,” She said with her body on display in a tight white dress leaving little to the imagination.

I didn’t dare stand up with the threat of being a bit too transparent.

She seems innocent and sweet, but it’s quite obvious she knows how to play the game better than most. Manipulation is a key component and teasing mercilessly with revealing and provocative clothing is going to take her a long way.

Her father is a dear friend and rock star with a heart of gold. Raven told me with confidence his little girl can handle just about anything. I’m inclined to believe him.

I check my calendar and I’m visibly on cloud nine. The object of my infatuation is going to walk through that door. Michelle is like a tenacious pit bull, but there’s something about her which nags at me.

Her body is a sinful reminder of how many hours it has been since I have been with a woman. She’s not about to throw herself at me. This girl is going to need some finesse. The challenge is in front of me waiting for me to grab it with both hands. It’s not going to be easy, but the end result is going to be the same.

The door is closed and I’m anxiously expecting her arrival. I can almost see her body writhing in ecstasy holding onto the headboard screaming my name on the tip of my tongue.

I turn the heat up in an old ploy to make those sitting across from me sweat a little. I want her to feel comfortable enough to be open and honest with me. Becoming her friend will lower her guard.

Talking to her like an equal will make her believe I’m not a threat.

Her hair can be easily wound around my hand in a firm grip. Hearing her moan in refusal will make me yearn. Giving her pleasure will open her up to a whole world of possibilities.

I hear somebody clearing their throat and I turn quickly to find an angel at my door. The sweater hides the truth. The skirt is plain and simple. My curiosity is piqued to know what dirty little secret she hides from me.

“I’ve scheduled this appointment to go over some of my latest finds. There’s one, in particular, that has that it factor. Sheila is the total package with a musical background in theatre and she has a degree from Juilliard,” She said and began going through her proposal with meticulous care.

The professionalism of her approach was rarely seen.

The slight fluctuation of her voice confirms she’s intimidated by me. I like the way she walks around on eggshells afraid of saying the wrong thing.

The shape of her breasts has my undivided attention. I want to let her know about my hunger to see her without clothes. Her lips hold me hostage and the way her tongue licks the shape of her mouth has a hidden meaning.

“I see you have done a lot of work and she certainly seems like a good fit. It’s not every day a talent like hers comes around and we need to seize the day before somebody else gets her to sign on the dotted line. It’s in our best interest to meet with her together over dinner tonight,” I suggest, gauging her reaction and waiting for her to respond.

“You can certainly seal the deal better than anyone. What exactly do you have in mind taking into account she’s not easily impressed by being wined and dined.” She folds her leg over the other and my heart stops at the fleeting glance of a bit more skin than she is intending

“I’ll make the arrangements for a 7:00 reservation at Carbone. I personally know the chef. You haven’t lived until you have tasted the Veal Parmesan not to mention the tableside Caesar salad. You can’t go wrong with the garlic suffused Angel Pasta,” I said with my attempt to impress making her eyes go wide with surprise.

I circled my prey feeding off her fear of being in close proximity of me.

My hands touched her shoulders and she visibly trembled. I didn’t make it seem sexual even though there was a part of me hungry with insistence.

“You must have some clout to be able to get beyond the doorman on such short notice,” She stammers with her words cracking under the pressure of what I can only perceive are my unwanted advances.

“You live long enough in this town and you get to know people on an intimate basis. I make friends easily with idle chitchat. I don’t know what it is, but people seem to gravitate toward me. They tell me I’m easy to talk to like one of the boys. It helps that my father was a politician with a polished tongue.” I’m using the art of seduction by incorporating a special massage technique to lure her into my web of depravity.

She’s this natural beauty with this fresh way of looking at things. I want to corrupt her. I’ve been known in the past to take the path of least resistance. It’s necessary from time to time to challenge my talents.

It’s intoxicating to be near her. I forgot what it was like to be the hunter. She reminds me of her firm willing to go to get her in a compromising position.

“I’ve always been on the sidelines looking in from the outside. This profession doesn’t suit me, but it’s the only thing I want to be. There was never any aspiration to do something else with my life. People told me it was a pipe dream, but I took their negativity and turned it into something positive,” She said with this meek and mild inflection that I found adorable.

I took my hands off of her and I didn’t want to send mixed signals.

I can adapt and become whatever she wants me to be. It’s going to be an effort to break from the traditional way of seducing a subject.

Michelle is worth a bit of patience. She will be the experiment.

Every breath she takes becomes like a beacon to my libido. Every move she makes I watch with intensity. Tonight is going to become a campaign of the sweetest form of seduction. It’s not hard to recognize the signs of her silent desire.

“Don’t sell yourself short. This job becomes you and you’ve proven yourself to have a good head on your shoulders. Your eye for detail is exemplary. It comes easily to you like breathing. Don’t let anybody tell you differently,” I implore, giving her high praise with my eyes drawn to the heat of her stare.

I’m not immune to her charms. It’s taking everything in me not to be blatant and bold. She’s a delicate flower, ready to bloom underneath my guidance. I see the fire inside of her and she’s about to learn what it takes to turn that spark into a flame.

“I’m not looking for a pat on the back. I see raw talent and I want to give them a chance to blossom. Your rise in this field is nothing short of remarkable. I have been following your career for years. I still have to pinch myself to believe I’m working for you. I’m like the talent, relatively unknown and I wonder why you would even give me a chance,” She asks in a backhanded way.

My pants were feeling tight and I didn’t feel comfortable showing her my hand. She needs to believe I don’t have any ulterior motives when it couldn’t be further from the truth.

“I saw the same raw talent you see in others. It usually takes those that come to my attention years to get my attention. You literally camped out on my doorstep and it’s that kind of tenacity I’m looking for. You were either going to sink or swim on your own merits,” I said swallowing hard and contemplating what it was going to take to have her panties on my floor in the morning.

“Disappointing you was the last thing on my mind. Failure wasn’t an option. I don’t have any other gear than full speed. These people dream of becoming a big star and I want to be responsible for being the wind underneath their wings.” She embellishes with passion behind every word.

Dinner is going to be interesting and I suspect there are going to be surprises. I don’t normally become personally invested. This is my way of getting close to Michelle. The food will draw its own conclusions. I’m hoping to parlay this into moments of pleasure, not for the faint of heart.

“It’s interesting to meet somebody of like mind. The others are here for the money without the passion. I see big things in your future. I’m thinking about giving you more responsibility. Show me what you can do at dinner and we can discuss it,” I challenge, realizing this is my one opportunity to see her in action without the results abundantly clear.

“It sounds to me like this is some kind of audition to see if I keep my job. I have enough pressure in my life. I don’t need you breathing down my neck.” She’s getting defensive and somehow the meeting has taken a wrong turn.

“You’re not going to lose your job, but this will determine whether or not you will get an expense account. I’m looking to have somebody train under me to be an international scout. It’s a position I have been toying with for quite some time.” I got her to the door and closed it with a long deep breath.

The window overlooking the city had the best view of the little people. I could crush them between my fingers like tiny little ants. I knew the power I could wield. This is my little corner of paradise within my ivory tower.

The only thing missing is the woman behind the man. Michelle has dreams that I can easily make a reality. She’s perfect for the position I have in mind.

I have this feeling the food isn’t the only thing on the menu.
