Chapter Ten

By the time the limo pulled up to my beach house, it was after two in the morning. We said our goodbyes to Zak and Jacob; I feel awful that our fun night out was spoiled because of all the Logan drama.

Kayden suggested I pack a change of clothes, so we can stay at his beach house. If Logan is hell bent on causing more problems, he won’t know where to locate us.

He tipped the limo driver, and then helped put my bags in the back seat of his truck. Kayden help boost me up into the truck, a sly smirk on his lips as he squeezed my butt. I can feel the anxiety slowly seeping away from me, now that we’re heading down to his house.

I give him a long, tender kiss goodnight and snuggle back up against his chest. I fall asleep wrapped in his arms, listening to the steady rhythm of his heart beating against my ear.

I truly am blessed to have Kayden. What Logan did to me…it was extremely painful, but, by breaking my heart, he actually did me a favor, a blessing in disguise.

The pain and heartache led me straight to Kayden, my angel on earth, who has reawakened my heart, and helped me believe in love again.
