Inescapable Desire: A Savannah Novel #2 (The Savannah Series) by Danielle Jamie (11)

Chapter Eleven

I awoke Saturday morning to discover a storm both figuratively and literally. Today is the first dark and dreary day we’ve had in Galveston since I arrived.

I turned on my cell phone finding countless missed calls and texts. I already know why everyone is blowing up my phone. That sleaze ball from Drip last night more than likely sold those photos to the press.

Ignoring all the messages, I pull up the news on my cell phone. I gasp loudly as Tinsel Town’s Blog opens up, and my eyes landed on the headlines.

The first article has a large picture under the headline, of Kayden sitting at our table last night with all the guys and those blonde bimbos around him at Drip. It must’ve been taken when I was dancing with Brooklyn, Jacob, and Zak.

The girls are sitting around the table and Kayden is holding a Corona talking and one of the girls has her hand on his arm. There are other photos under it showing Logan and I on the dance floor; before I knew it was him.

The article title reads: “Looks like there is trouble in paradise already for Savannah Livingston and Kayden Knox.” An eyewitness at Drip last night, saw Kayden partying and hanging out with a group of women and friends having a good time; while Savannah was dancing and grinding with her ex Logan Sanders just a few feet away. Looks like reconciliation may be in the works for Logan and Savannah, Kayden looks to be jumping right back into his playboy ways.

Are you fucking kidding me?” I shout tossing my phone onto Kayden’s bed.

He’s downstairs in the middle of a heated conversation himself, probably because of this ridiculous story! Of course they only use the pictures of Logan and me dancing. No pictures of us fighting, or any of the moments Kayden and I were together last night. Nothing like taking things out of context, and twisting it into something juicier and gossip worthy.

I scroll down to the next story to find a photo of Kayden and Logan fighting.

Fan-fuckin-tastic!

The story just keeps getting better. Now they’re reporting Kayden went into a jealous rage after Logan and I rubbed our reunion in his face.

Fuck sake, I need to call my mom and have her publicist and attorneys get them to remove these falsified stories. Kayden doesn’t need to deal with this juvenile shit all because he’s dating me and my ex is a fucking moron.

I hear the front door slam shut.

My stomach instantly knots.

I don’t know if Kayden is pissed with me because of all of this, but I should’ve told him about the guy taking my picture last night. He would’ve done something about it, made him delete them or something. Now we got this crap spreading like wildfire all over the web.

~~~
Shortly after Kayden’s abrupt departure, he returned. He went out for a run on the beach to clear his head. He had the same idea I did, and called his publicist and lawyers.
I ended up having his publicist release a joint statement for both of us rather than have a separate statement released. I spent the entire morning on the phone with Reagan, Rebecca, my parents, and Eloise.
It was exhausting having to rapidly relay the whole story of everything that went down last night at Drip. I have never been so happy to be off the damn phone.
Being in the public eye means I have no privacy. Everything I do is talked about, twisted, and distorted into the most absurd stories. People are naive enough to believe all the crap these gossip mediums feed them. We’re forced to release statements and permit interviews just to calm the shit storm started by the media and lay fabricated stories to rest.
Brooklyn sent me a text around lunchtime to let me know Xander was going to drop her off at the house. She was gushing about him in her texts, saying and I quote ‘the best lay ever, he’s a freak in the sack!’ She also left me a very long voicemail threatening to hunt down the douchebag who sold the pictures and false story to the press. I couldn’t help but smile listening to her go ballistic.
I’m lucky to have a best friend who always has my back and supports me no matter what.
~~~

The storm subsides and the dark clouds lift from the skies as well as our moods. Kayden and I spent the early afternoon at my beach house playing pool and hanging out with Zak and Jacob.

After Xander dropped Brooklyn off, and she did her walk of shame, we ordered pizza and all hung out for a few more hours before saying goodbye to Jacob and Zak.

After changing we headed to Kayden’s house in Sugar Land to go four-wheeling with a bunch of his friends.

Kayden still seemed stressed and a little worried. I tried my best to ease his concerns, as long as we both know the truth; that’s all that matters. He began to look more relaxed once he saw I wasn’t letting it get to me.

Brooklyn and I packed overnight bags to take with us to Kayden’s house. We’re going to Vertigo tonight so we’re getting ready at his house, then staying overnight at his Penthouse suite at Knox Hotel.

I can’t wait to finally get a real tour of the Penthouse, seeing as the last time I was there, the only thing I got to see was the entryway and his bedroom.

I’ve seen pictures of Kayden’s mansion in Sugar Land while researching him for the Envy issue, now I can’t wait to actually see it in person.

His house is gigantic; with a basketball court, a nine-hole golf course, two outdoor pools, and a huge hot tub. I am beyond thrilled to visit his stables and see Cheyanne again. I’m still in shock that he had mine and Brooklyn’s horses brought here from Tennessee. He’s the most amazing, generous man, and I’m lucky enough to call him mine.

As we pulled up to Kayden’s house, I swear my jaw hit the floor. It’s a hundred times more breathtaking in person, than it is in the pictures I’ve seen.

It’s a white contemporary style house with windows everywhere. There are fields and fields of grass that go on forever. There are five trucks parked with trailers attached to the backs in his driveway, and four-wheelers all lined up on the lawn beside the trucks.

Holy shit! Knox, your house could fit like three of mine inside of it and that’s saying a lot because my parent’s house in Beverly Hills is freakin’ humungous!” Brooklyn blurts out with a look of total shock and amazement across her face.

Stepping out of the truck, Kayden gives Brooklyn a small smile. “Well, like they say…Everything’s bigger in Texas.

Letting out a small chuckle, Brooklyn eyes the massive mansion, “You got that right, damn this place is huge! If Savannah wasn’t sleeping with you, I would think with a big truck and this big ass house that you were trying to overcompensate for a tiny penis. Damn Knox everything you have is fucking big!”

Kayden let out a deep laugh, “That’s what she said.”

Oh. My. God! Kayden, you did not just say that.” Smacking him on the arm, I join Brooklyn in a fit of laughter. It feels amazing being with Kayden and Brooklyn, and actually having her like my boyfriend, for once, is a nice change. She hated every guy I dated in high school, college, and of course Logan. They always all turned out to be dirt bags, so maybe she was onto something. Her liking Kayden is a good sign.

Continuing our girly giggles, we approach the back of Kayden’s house where all of his friends were hanging out by the pool, drinking beer.

It’s about time you got your ass here, now we can go riding!” One of the guys sitting at the patio table said, setting his beer down. He looked to be about thirty pounds overweight, and his clothes remind me of Larry the Cable Guy.

The rest of them looked very attractive. Guessing from the lights on top of their trucks, I’m assuming they all work construction.

Sorry, we’re late, got tied up back at Savannah’s. I had to redeem myself after losing to Savannah and Brooklyn at pool,” Kayden joked, elbowing me playfully.

Kayden had our bags brought up to his room by one of his staff, where we’ll be getting ready for our night out once we return from riding.

While Kayden went to get his four-wheeler, Brooklyn and I went to see our horses. About fifteen minutes later, the guys were pulling up to the stables ready to ride.

Brooklyn was all up for riding with Kayden’s cousin Dixon. He’s about two inches shorter than Kayden, with auburn hair. He looks just as ripped as Kayden under his tight fitted t-shirt; they could pass for brothers. The only difference between them was Dixon’s cocky attitude, and a he has a few more tattoos. He’s hot and he knows it. Brooklyn is eating it up like he’s her last meal. Shocking thing is he isn’t trying to flirt with her. She is always saying she wants a challenge, I think she has finally met her match.

I climbed onto the back of Kayden’s four-wheeler, and wrap my arms tightly around his waist. I’ll take any excuse I can get to snuggle up to him. Before I know it, we’re flying through the woods over a trail Kayden must’ve had made for riding.

I’m grateful I wore a t-shirt and jeans with a pair of boots because we are slamming every mud hole we can find.

I can hear the sounds of Brooklyn’s laughter drifting ahead. I peak my head around Kayden’s body to see her holding onto Dixon for dear life as he swerves and sways through the mud. I haven’t gone muddin’ in so long, I almost forgot how thrilling and exhilarating it can be.

Hold on baby!” Kayden says as we hit a jump and fly through the air.

My stomach rises into my throat before slamming back down again, just like a sudden drop down on a steep slope on a roller coaster. I shout with excitement, “Wooooohooooooo!” as we slam back down onto the ground.

Swaying his arms back and forth while letting out a husky laugh, Kayden makes the four-wheeler fishtails down the trail. I hold onto him tighter, feeling every bump and ridge of his abs beneath my fingers.

Everyone was far ahead of us when Kayden slowed down and pulled over to the side of the trail. Looking over his shoulder at me, he raises his hand up to me wanting me to take hold of it. “Come here baby.” With those words I loosen my hold around his waist, grab his hand and climb around onto his lap. Running his fingers over my face, wiping away the mud splatters on my cheek. I bite the tip of his thumb as he traces it across my lips.

I bet I look like a hot mess right now, with mud decorating my hair and splattered all over my face.” Kayden looks utterly adorable with mud all over his shirt and face, specs clinging to his brown locks.

Baby you look smokin’ hot right now, I love that you are not afraid to get down and dirty with me.” Running his hands along my thighs, and gripping my hips, he presses his erection against my throbbing clit that wants to be stimulated.

Cupping his face I pull his mouth to mine. I savor the taste of Kayden’s lips mixed with mud. I grind against him, shooting shivers up my spine as Kayden moans into my mouth, gripping my hips tighter.

I swear to God, you are trying to kill me.” Kayden growls into my mouth as his hands work their way up my back under my t-shirt.

His warm hands leave a trail of fire along my skin as they work their way around to my breasts. Lifting my tee, Kayden pulls down the cup of my bra taking my breast into his mouth. I shudder with pleasure as I run my fingers through his hair, holding onto him as I lose myself. He slips his hands into my loose fitting jeans cupping my bottom, and forcing me against his stone like erection.

I can feel the familiar tightening of my pussy from the friction of Kayden grinding against me, stimulating me with the bulge through his jeans. “Ooh my,” I say in between moans.

You are delectable, Savannah. All I think about is your taste, touching you, and being inside this sweet, succulent body of yours.” His words mixed with his hot wet kisses along my skin only spurs my desires. I toss my head back, drawing my body as close to Kayden’s as humanly possible. Ecstasy is coursing throughout my body.

I just want….Oh God….” I claw at him, the fire burning me from inside out.

Watching you get off has to be the hottest fuckin’ thing ever.” He drawls, flashing me one of his panty droppin’ smiles.

Grinning ear to ear, I roam my fingers over his chiseled chest down to the button of his jeans. “I feel like a hormonal teenager whenever I’m around you, Knox.”

Kayden raises an eyebrow. “You think you are? Damn, I want to fuck you every second of the day! I haven’t been this horny since college.” Flashing another panty dropping smile at me, he smacks me on the thigh. “We better get going; everyone is going to wonder where the hell we went.”

Kissing him, I spin around so that Kayden is now behind me. “It’s my turn to drive!”

Just don’t kill us, I need to live long enough to ease this aching hard-on I’m sporting.” Wrapping his arms around my stomach and pressing his massive body against mine, we take off down the trail.

I thought riding was exhilarating, but driving is even better! The trails are soaked from the rain we had earlier, so there are mud puddles covering almost every inch of the trail. I speed towards one, driving straight through it, screaming with excitement as mud splatters all over us.

After riding a few more minutes along the trail, we finally catch up to everyone else. Brooklyn seems to have gotten the same idea as me, because she’s now driving Dixon’s Grizzly.

We spend the next hour riding, it’s the most fun I’ve had in a long time. Kayden is a breath of fresh air, and being here with him and all of his friends is the perfect remedy to help me forget about all the drama we dealt with last night.

At least for a little while.
