Inescapable Desire: A Savannah Novel #2 (The Savannah Series) by Danielle Jamie (8)

Chapter Eight

I slip into my favorite tight blue jeans; they have flap pockets on the back covered in rhinestone crosses and flare out at my ankles; they scream Texas!, a cute spaghetti strap flowing black tank top with rhinestone detailing at the top and a black leather jacket. I feel sexy, and cannot wait to see what Kayden thinks when he sees me.

I opt for my favorite cowgirl boots, and slip on a few bangle bracelets to accessorize. I am eager to go out and hit the town.

After I finish curling my hair, I spray on some of my favorite coconut and tropical flower scented perfume that drives Kayden absolutely crazy, and I’m ready to get this party started.

Brooklyn’s in the kitchen with Jacob and Zak doing shots. “Don’t get too drunk before we leave Brooklyn, the last thing we need is you barfing on the Ferris wheel!” I laugh, climbing onto a barstool at the kitchen island.

Zak almost spits his shot straight across the room, letting out a deep chuckle. “I know who I’m not sitting with, or anywhere near tonight when we go on rides at the pier.” He joked.

Don’t be ridiculous, Savannah. I’ll be perfectly fine.” Brooklyn says tossing back another shot.

Don’t say I didn’t warn you.” Shaking my head at her, I toss back the shot of whiskey Jacob placed in my hands.

Pouring everyone another shot, Zak yells, “Let’s make a toast to new friends and to a wild ass night!” Simultaneously we all shout “CHEERS!” and toss back our shots.

Just then, I hear the rumble of Kayden’s truck pulling in.

Ohhh! Kayden’s finally here!” I excitedly shout, jumping down from the bar stool.

Hey!” Brooklyn yells at me as I am running for the door. “NO FUCKING until after we go out! I’m ready to get the hell outta here. I don’t want to sit around twiddling my thumbs waiting for you to finish fucking like damn rabbits.”

I look over my shoulder, roll my eyes and flip Brooklyn the bird with a Cheshire cat grin before hurrying out the door onto the deck where Kayden is just rounding the corner at the top of the stairs. As our eyes meet my heartbeat accelerates and my breath catches, becoming as uncontrollable as my pulse.

He looks so freaking divine and did I mention hot in his tight black t-shirt, faded worn blue jeans, cowboy boots, and black cowboy hat.

Kayden is the only man that has ever made my stomach quiver with just one look. The energy and sexual magnetism between us is beyond anything I have ever known or experienced.

Noticing me on the deck, he flashes his megawatt, panty dropping smile. “Hey baby, miss me?” His rich Southern drawl cascades over my skin caresses my ears and sends a shiver down my spine.

I ache for his touch, and to have his lips on mine.

“You bet your sweet ass I missed you.” I run and jump into his arms, crushing my mouth against his. He grips my ass in his hands, giving it a firm squeeze and lets out a deep moan into my mouth.

The fire burning inside is only intensifying the longer I’m in his arms, burning hotter and hotter.

Pulling away from his mouth, I run my fingers across his hard, toned chest. “I could kiss your delicious lips all day, but I think Brooklyn would kick our asses.” I laugh.

Kayden gives me a puzzled look. “Oh, will she now? Well I think I would like to see her try to kick my ass. I haven’t seen you all day, and I feel like I am about to explode right here if I don’t get you into your bedroom.”

Sorry, no can do. Maybe if you are a good boy we can sneak a quickie in the limo?” I can’t help but bite back a smile as I see Kayden’s eyes sparkle with excitement as my words sink in.

Mmm, I like the way your naughty mind works, baby. Let’s hurry up and get everyone; the limo will be here any minute. I had the driver pick Braxton and Mya up at their house in Houston first.”

~~~
Jacob and Zak hit it off with Kayden right away. They were star struck at first, and in awe of the fact that my boyfriend was the Kayden Knox.
They’re still getting over the fact that my parents are Maverick and Paisley Livingston. I can’t believe they had no idea since they’re from the L.A. area too.
After the initial shock wore off the boys, were all talking and joking around like long lost friends who have known each other their entire lives.
Kayden rented a huge stretch Range Rover limo. It has seats lined along both sides with mirrors on the ceiling and stripper poles along the walkway between the seats.
Brooklyn and I wasted no time hitting the stripper poles. Mya shocked us by getting up and dancing on the poles along with us to Scream and Shout.
Mya has to be one of the most gorgeous women I’ve ever met. She has light brown skin, big brown almond shaped eyes, high cheekbones, and a delicate little nose. Her hair is jet black and stops just above her waist; she has a body I could only wish for, with curves in all the right places.
The girl is hot, and she knows it.
I jump on the pole wrapping my legs around it to hold myself up; slowly leaning back I lock eyes with Kayden. His tantalizing green eyes are watching me with pure desire radiating out of them from under the brim of his hat.
Licking his lips, a low growl escapes him, “You’re seriously tryin’ to kill me,” he says seductively, shooting his arms out towards me, and sealing our lips together in a hot passionate kiss. I bite down gently on his bottom lip whimpering into his mouth.
Kayden starts massaging my breast, not caring that there are people all around us. The mixture of being upside down and the taste and smell of Kayden, have my head spinning with ecstasy.
“You two are like horny teenagers.” Brooklyn shouts at us from the other pole.
Dude, at least wait until we are all out of the limo before you fuck her brains out,” Braxton chimes in.
I hear him yelp out in pain as Mya smacks him on the chest, “Braxton! I cannot believe you just said that!” She says between giggles.
Braxton and Kayden have been best friends since they were kids, and attended the University of Texas together, where Braxton played college football and was drafted into the NFL.
He’s now a Running Back for the Houston Texans. He’s tall, extremely muscular, with gleaming dark chocolate skin, black hair cut short and is covered in tattoos.
He’s just as hot as his girlfriend; together they are a gorgeous super couple.
Everyone is definitely starting to feel the effects of all our shots; we’re all a giggling mess right now and we still have to go explore the pier and eat dinner before we hit the bars.
Pulling away from our kiss, I straighten myself back up and swing around the pole. Kayden’s eyes are smoldering hot lava about to erupt at any moment, completely captivating me.
The combination of loud music, laughter, and that downright seductive look Kayden’s giving me, I feel the excitement jolting through my body and warmth spreading between my legs.
I shimmy down the pole, crawl across the floor and climb onto Kayden’s lap. Wasting no time with eager hands, he explores every inch of my body.
The limo better pull into the pier quickly because I don’t know how much longer I can contain myself,” Kayden whispers into my ear before trailing hot kisses along my neck and collar bone.
I am too elated with pleasure and anticipation to give a response.
Finally, the limo comes to a stop, and everyone quickly shuffles out onto the parking lot.
I grabbed Brooklyn’s hand before she can exit the limo, and tell her that we’ll meet them in the restaurant.
Growling loudly, he tosses me onto my back, “This will be quick baby, but you won’t be disappointed.” Giving me a wink, Kayden gets to work quickly unbuttoning my jeans and removing my boots. Within seconds, we’re both naked from the waist down.
He reaches to remove his hat, but I stop him, “Nooo…keep the hat on. Now fuck me cowboy!” I bellow at him, desperate to have his cock pounding inside me.
Kayden raises an eyebrow at me.
“Oh, I’m going to fuck you so hard; you’ll be cumming on me, tightening that pussy around my cock in no time baby.”
Reaching for the stereo’s remote, Kayden cranks up the music. “Don’t want the driver hearing you screaming my name…too much.
With those words, my vocalizations of gratifying pleasure are bouncing off the walls of the limo, blending with Jason Aldean’s Take a Little Ride With Me.
How ironic.
~~~

After walking off Pleasure Pier, we start walking down Seawall Blvd. It’s a beautiful strip by the water and walking distance to the bar.

Braxton and Mya had the limo take them back to Houston after we had dinner and went on rides at the pier. Mya had one too many drinks at dinner; throw in a few rollercoaster rides that didn’t go over well, and they had to call it an early night.

I’m walking hand-in-hand with Kayden.

Brooklyn is ahead with Jacob and Zak.

Every so often he pulls me in for a quick kiss before walking some more. When I’m with Kayden the world around us seems to just fall away making it feel like we’re the only two people on the entire planet.

All I can focus on is Kayden and the way he makes me feel.

“Let’s check out this one!” Brooklyn says pointing up the sign that reads Drip, snapping me back to reality.

Okay, let’s go have some fun and find you a man, chicka!” Playfully pushing Brooklyn through the doorway, we hear the music blasting throughout the space. People are hanging out at the bar, and the dance floor is packed.

Everyone’s looking dressed to the nines, pretty much all the girls look to be competing for who can wear the shortest dress or lowest cut top.

I flash a quick glance at Kayden to see if he’s ogling the half-naked girls; to my surprise and much enjoyment his eyes are locked on my behind.

With his one hand on my hip and the other entwined with mine, we make our way to the bar. The bartenders are wearing corsets, and booty shorts with leggings, and are all gorgeous.

It’s like a classier version of Hooters.

Brooklyn and I order Strawberry Mojitos, Kayden a Corona with a slice of lime, and Jacob and Zak both order Bud Lights.

I spot an open table near the dance floor so we all head over to it and have our drinks. The DJ is cranking out all the best dance music. I can’t help but dance in my seat while drinking down one of the best Strawberry Mojitos I’ve ever tasted.

A few guys Kayden knows stopped by our table to chat with him, so Brooklyn and I excused ourselves and made our way to the dance floor along with Jacob and Zak. There are two tiny dance floors and people everywhere. We push our way towards the DJ and all start dancing together.

A super dark and dangerous lookin’ hottie walked up behind Brooklyn and started dancing with her. He looks like he just stepped off of the stage of a rock concert.

He’s tall, muscular, firm jaw line, laughing brown eyes and short spiky black hair. He has a sleeve of tattoos along both of his arms; earrings in both ears and his lip. He’s definitely Brooklyn’s type. He screams bad boy!

Shooting Brooklyn a wink, I leave her with the hottie rocker and make my way through the crowd to get back to Kayden. I need to get my man out here onto the dance floor.

As soon as our table comes into view, I noticed it’s completely surrounded by a ton of guys and a few bimbos with their tits hanging out.

Just freakin’ fantastic, now I have to deal with five-cent whores throwing themselves at my boyfriend. It comes with the territory, I guess, when you are dating the hottest guy on the fucking planet, but it would be nice if we could go out and have a good time without skanks glaring at me all night, and secretly hitting on my boyfriend.

Once the realization sinks in that they don’t have a chance in hell, they swiftly focus all their hatred onto me because they’re envious of the fact that I’ll be the one leaving with Kayden when the night is over.

I hate drama, and catty ass bitches that thrive on it.

Eagerly, I adjust my tank top and fix my hair from all the dancing; thoughts of him plaguing my mind fueling my actions. On bending back up from adjusting my boots, I spot Kayden sitting at our table. Glancing upwards at him, I allow my eyes to meet his as I move my body seductively across the room.

Whilst gliding my body towards him, I spot his chiseled jaw and washboard abs pushing through his t-shirt in plain view, sending shivers down my spine and reminding me of how soft yet taught they are to the touch.

I’ve arrived now, and all I can think about is caressing him, as I’m caught in his gaze. Slowly, I intertwine his legs with mine, wrap my arms around his neck, and twirl his hair around my fingers.

He’s so hot; the fire in his eyes is intoxicating. Gazing into his sea green irises, watching them twinkle in the club lighting, I feel the tension mounting as he slides his hands along my thighs, the heat seeping through the fabric of my jeans is sending electric shocks straight to my core.

Kayden’s hands move to grip my ass, taunting and molding it. I can’t help but smile to myself as a few girls huff and puff rolling their eyes in annoyance at me being in Kayden’s arms.

Kayden pulls me closer to him so that my body is flush against his. “You have fun dancing?” He drawls into my ear, sending a shiver or desire trickling down my spine.

Biting back a smile, I lean back and give Kayden a small smile, “Yes, and Brooklyn sure did too. She is now dry humping with some rocker dude on the dance floor. God help her, that girl has it bad for the bad boy type.”

His eyes slide to the dance floor then lock back onto mine, “You didn’t dance very long, are ya feelin’ lonely, baby?” Kayden asks running his hands up to the nape of my neck cradling my head. His lips are so close; I want to latch onto his plump perfection and never let them leave mine. The magnetic pull is so palatable between us; I lick my lips in anticipation for his kiss.

Yes.” I push my bottom lip out into a pout and bat my eyelashes playfully. “Can I steal my man away from all these people, and do a little dirty dancing?”

Baby, you don’t have to ask me twice!” His Southern twang makes my stomach flutter, as he finally grants me the kiss I’ve been craving since I stepped between his legs.

His kiss is feverish and explosive with an intoxicating taste of Corona. Deepening our kiss, I open my mouth to allow his tongue passage into mine.

“Damn Knox, you have yourself one fine piece of ass with you tonight.” One of the guys leaning against the wall beside our table blurts out, bringing us back to the room. Prying himself away from me Kayden stands up abruptly, causing the chair he was just sitting on to skid back forcefully.

Unless you want to leave here with your nose busted all to hell, I suggest you watch how you talk about my girlfriend. You got that, Wes?” I can see the veins pulsating in his neck as anger wells up inside him. I can’t help but get a little turned on seeing him defend me and openly tell people I’m his girlfriend.

It’s ok Kayden, come on lets go dance.” I say trying to pull him away and lead him onto the dance floor.

Sorry dude, no need to go all raging fuckin’ lunatic on my ass! Damn, you must have it bad for this bitch if you’re actually threatenin’ to do me bodily harm.” The drunkin’ idiot, better known as Wes, slurs out at Kayden, wishing on his lucky stars that Kayden doesn’t beat him to a bloody pulp.

Yeah, I got it bad, and don’t call her a bitch, Wes. Women find that disrespectful, which is why you’re thirty and still single.” Kayden bit out at him then maneuvered away from the table. We make our way towards the dance floor, and away from the biggest douche bag of the evening.

Wrapping his arms around me from behind and nuzzling his face into my neck, Kayden follows me onto the dance floor. I melt into him, “Sorry about Wes; he can be an asshole sometimes.” He murmurs pressing a kiss to my neck.

It’s okay, really. I imagine they’re all getting used to the fact that you actually are with a woman you plan on seeing after tonight.” I laugh spinning around to face him. Just one look from him makes my heart do somersaults. Cupping his face in my hands, I push up onto my tippy toes to kiss him one more time, “Now let’s dance hot stuff!”

~~~
Brooklyn’s been missing for the last hour; disappearing shortly after Kayden and I joined her on the dance floor. She must be all wrapped up in that rocker hottie somewhere in the club.
Right now the party is jumping, the beers are flowing, and I’m too engulfed in Kayden to think about anything else.
Zak and Jacob have been grinding with girls left, right, and center, but like me, are in need of somethin’ strong to give us a second wind.
After dancing for an hour, I’m exhausted, so we all decide to head over to a booth where Kayden’s friends have all migrated to.
I can’t wait to sit and have a few drinks, my feet are aching.
A few of the Malibu Barbie’s are still hanging around; I feel their eyes on us, scanning over Kayden and me. They’re all over the other guys in the booth since they seem to have gotten the message loud and clear: Kayden Knox is taken.
Drip has bottle service, so the guys had one of the bottle girls bring us a couple bottles of Jack, some pitchers of Coke, and tequila with a plate of sliced limes. Getting completely trashed is on everyone’s agenda tonight.
Jacob and Zak finally push through the crowd with their new beers in tow and a fruity shot for me and join us in our booth. “Here you go, drink up!” Jacob says handing me my shot.
I tossed it back, letting the sweet concoction slide down the back of my throat. I’m definitely getting past the tipsy point, and the night’s still young.
Snuggling up to Kayden, I make myself comfortable on his lap and close my eyes momentarily as I welcome the numbness that’s consuming my body, thanks to the alcohol coursing through my veins. I get lost in the music allowing the hypnotic techno beat that the DJ’s playing to resonate through me.
Kayden’s rubbing circles on my thigh with his thumb, the heat radiating off of his finger is scorching my skin, causing a fire to ignite deep inside of me.
Resting my head against Kayden’s chest, I watch the guys take their tequila shots; they’re all hootin’ and hollerin’ with each shot they toss back. I can’t help but have my mind go back to my first night in Houston.
I can’t believe it was just last Friday at Vertigo, playing ‘I’ve Never’ in the VIP area. The way Kayden undressed me with his eyes sparked an unquenchable desire for him setting my heart aflame.
After hanging out at our booth for almost an hour, and not seeing or hearing from Brooklyn, I decide to go look for her. This place is packed, so it’s easy to overlook us in the back corner of the club.
Even though I know she’s probably wrapped up with the guy she met earlier on the dance floor, I give Kayden a quick kiss, and excuse myself to go look for her.
After pushing my way through the crowd of people filling the club, I finally head out to the balcony so I can try to get in touch with her. It feels good to get out of the bar; the fresh air does me good.
There’s a cool brisk wind blowing off of the ocean; I’m grateful I decided to put my jacket back on before coming out, because the cool air on my damp skin causes me to shiver.
Leaning against the railing I type a quick text to Brooklyn.
Me:
Heyyy girly, just wanted 2 check up on u. IDK if ur coming back with us, or leaving with the hottie from earlier?
Brooklyn doesn’t text back immediately, so I venture into the ladies room. After freshening up, I circle around the bar trying to find her.
Making my way upstairs to the second story of the club, I hear my phone beeping, alerting me of a new text. Finally, it’s a text from Brooklyn.
Brooklyn:
I’m leaving with Xander *fucking ROCK god* I’ll be back at the beach house tomorrow. xoxo
As soon as I step up onto the second story, I can’t shake the feeling as if someone is watching me. The place is packed with people sitting with friends, having drinks, and enjoying the music from below.
I look around, but no one looks out of place.
Brushing it off as all the alcohol in my system making me paranoid, I hurry down the stairs to get back with Kayden, Jacob, and Zak. They’re all taking tequila shots now along with everyone else.
Kayden’s face lights up as soon as his eyes meet mine. Reaching out he grips my hip possessively, “Hey baby, you find Brooklyn?”
Before I can get a word out, he’s pulling me down onto his lap, and wrapping his arm tightly around my waist. I can’t help but melt into his arms.
No, but she text me and said she will be going home with Xander, the rocker guy from earlier.”
Okay, well the limo driver texted me, he’s parked around back at The Spot. Whenever you’re ready to head out we can go.”
Sounds good.” I slide my fingers through Kayden’s hair, and lean in to give him a quick kiss, as soon as our lips touch electricity erupt between us.
It’s taking everything in me to not drag him back out to the limo for another quickie. He looks delicious right now with the techno lights splashing a rainbow of colors over his body.
I sat on Kayden’s lap for almost twenty minutes, taking shots, but soon Kayden and his friends were deep in football playoff discussions and Bowl game talk that I found myself utterly bored out of my mind.
Zak was just as engulfed in the conversation as Kayden was, Jacob, not so much, and he soon notices me staring off at the dance floor trying to keep myself entertained.
Grabbing my hand, Jacob asks with his sexy British accent, “Want to go show these blokes our killer moves?” Cocking his head towards the crowd of people dancing.
A big smile stretches across my lips, “Yes!” Spinning, I give Kayden a quick kiss, and tell him I’m going to dance for a bit. I can’t stop giggling as Jacob tugs on my hand making me leap to my feet from Kayden’s lap.
While I was sitting with Kayden, I relaxed a little, but as soon as Jacob and I step onto the dance floor, I can’t help but have that uneasy feeling resurface.
My stomach has tensed up into a bundle of knots. I have a feeling that someone is lurking around in the bar watching me everywhere I go.
Thanks to the damn paparazzi stalking my every move lately, I can’t help but be paranoid every time I’m out with friends. I feel like people are constantly watching everything I do, just waiting for something to twist into a front-page selling story.
Relax, Savannah! You look like your puppy just died or something. We’re supposed to be out, letting loose!” Jacob says pulling me onto the dance floor shimmying at me. I can’t help but let out a small laugh.
God. I need to chill out.
“Sorry, I just have a weird feeling. I think it’s just me being paranoid. It’s probably nothing.”
Well, you are surrounded by a bunch of guys, if anyone tries to bother you, they won’t get far. So shake off your worries and dance your little ass off with me!”
Jacob has me laughing until my stomach hurts with his dance moves; he doesn’t dance because he has mad skills; that’s for sure.
Before I know it, I’m dancing to the Nicki Minaj, and Cassie’s The Boys and letting all of my anxiety float away. I have my hands up in the air bouncing with Jacob to the music thumping out of the speakers by us.
I’m drenched with sweat, so I throw my hair up into a messy bun on top of my head. Blowing a loose strand out of my eyes, I sway my hips to the music.
Jacob has abandoned me and is now grinding away with some chick in a micro mini dress, which looks to be painted on her.
I feel large, strong hands slowly slide along my sides. They come to rest at my hips as a large firm body presses against my backside and begins swaying with me to the music.
At first I think its Kayden, but then familiar cologne fills my nose.
Oh hell no!
It’s not Kayden’s, but it smells a whole lot like Logan’s.
I feel warm breath laced with Jack Daniels on my neck instantly sending a cold shiver up my spine.
“I can feel your body reacting to my touch Savannah; I know you still want me.” Logan slurs in a low murmur into my ear as he runs his hands along my thighs.
I panic and instantly freeze. Trying to process the fact that I’m not dreaming, this is really fucking happening.
Of course, the douche bag didn’t take my advice and go back to L.A.!
No. Instead, Logan’s in Drip and putting his grimy fuckin’ hands on me. I guess busting his nose and telling him I’m done with his sorry ass wasn’t enough to get through his thick head.
Finally regaining my composure, I jump out of Logan’s embrace. But not before some fuck head snaps a picture of Logan all over me.
Get the hell away from me; what the hell are you doing Logan!” I shout my blood’s boiling, and my ears ringing as anger consumes me.
He just flashes me a cocky grin.
Ugh, asshole!
Just fan-fucking-tastic! I knew something wasn’t right; he has been following me all night, and who knows where else he’s followed me since he’s been in town.
I look around, but Jacob is nowhere to be found. He’s either moved to another spot dancing, or maybe went back to our booth.
Logan stalks towards me as I try to make my way through the crowd of people. I try to ignore him, but he won’t stop shouting out to me, drawing attention to us.
Savannah, you need to stop this. Stop fighting your feelings for me! I know you love me still. We can get past this.”
Snapping my head, I look back at him over my shoulder, glaring my eyes at him, “Logan you need to get away from me or this time I will not hold back!”
You don’t understand how painful it is watching you with that guy, seeing him with his hands all over you, kissing you. You’re MINE Savannah!” Logan shouts at me grabbing my arm, faltering my steps.
I’ve never witnessed Logan drunk like this before, and for the first time in my life, I’m actually scared of him, and what he might do.
His fingers are pinching into my skin, causing me to flinch. The music is so loud no one seems to notice or care what is going on; except the annoying asshole snapping my picture every five fuckin’ seconds. “Can you stop taking my picture? God…damn it!” I snap at the guy with the cell phone shoved in my face, following me as I try to get away from Logan.
And you!” I scream yanking my arm out of Logan’s grip. “Let go of my arm, before I kick you in the balls so fucking hard you will be fishing them outta your God damn stomach!”
I start taking longer strides, trying to make my way over to Kayden, and hopefully away from Logan. I don’t think he’s stupid enough to follow me over there where there are about ten guys who all look like they could be football linemen.
I look back quickly but don’t see Logan anywhere. It’s like he’s just vanished into thin air.
I know all too well that he is still here, but where, I have no idea.
The idiot with the camera finally got the hint and stopped following me. I’m dreading tomorrow. I already know he will sell the freaking photos to some sleazy magazine for a quick buck.
I hate that people like him make money off of a situation that will be misconstrued and twisted every which way. I can see it now, the tabloids twisting the entire thing making it out as me hooking up with both Kayden and Logan.
“FUCK!” I shout out in frustration.
I finally make it back to our table, not even knowing that I’m crying because I have so much anger raging through my body. I’m in complete shock, and I think my body is in overload trying to process everything that just occurred.
It doesn’t help that I’m drunk and can barely concentrate on walking, let alone figure out what the fuck just happened.
Kayden’s eyes fall upon me as I stumble over to him. I have tears running down my cheeks, dripping onto my chest.
Everyone’s now staring at me, just wonderful. I probably look as shitty as I’m feeling, with my mascara running all over my damn face.
I swipe my fingers under my eyes, wiping away the tears.
Kayden jumps to his feet, pulling me to him; with panic in his eyes he scans my faces, “Savannah! What’s wrong baby? Where the hell is Jacob?!” He looks behind me, looking to see where Jacob is.
Looking up at Kayden, I try to process his questions and answer him but my mouth won’t work. I begin sobbing again. My chest is shaking; I keep trying to calm myself down, but I’m in a state of shock and humming with anger.
Kayden’s eyes are burning with anger and confusion, holding me tightly against him; he stares down at me, “What the fuck is going on? You’re scaring the shit out of me, baby.”
I rest my head against Kayden’s chest listening to his heart beating rapidly against his my ear, focusing on nothing but the sound of his heart as I try to calm myself.
Kayden is running his fingers through my hair, and I hear him talking to his friends asking if any of them saw anything.
Normally running into Logan back in L.A. wouldn’t faze me; I’d just ignore him and go on with my evening. Tonight he is like a totally different person. I’m seriously freaking out right now because the Logan here tonight is not the Logan I was with for four years.
He’s desperate and delusional!
I’m a second away from having a full-fledged panic attack as the truth sinks in: Logan is pretty much stalking me. I don’t even recognize the man I just had an altercation with on the dance floor. I have no idea what extremes he’ll go to, to try and get me back.
To top it off, now there will be photos all over the damn place, plastered on magazines and blogs, of Logan and me together on the dance floor, and then of us fighting.
After taking in a few deep breaths, I’m able to calm down my panic attack, and speak again. “Logan…he’s here!”
Logan is here? In Drip?! Does that fuck head have a death wish?! Did he hurt you?” Kayden begins scanning the crowd trying to see if he can spot Logan anywhere.
Kayden has no idea what the hell he signed up for when he asked me to be with him. I’m more trouble than I’m worth. He has a business to worry about. He shouldn’t have stress over what the press is saying about our supposed love triangle between Kayden, Logan and I.
I shake my head no, my words coming out shaky, “No, he grabbed my arm when I tried to get away from him but he didn’t hurt me.”
Kayden curses under his breath, “That fucker, he better pray he’s already left here, because if he’s still here, he’s going to meet my fuckin’ fist.”
God, I hope he’s gone too. I don’t want any more drama tonight. I don’t know why he isn’t getting it through his head that we’re done. I’ve only told him a million times since September; we’re never getting back together. Logan wanted me and the ability to be with anyone else he felt the desire to stick his dick into. I don’t think any amount of therapy will fix that.
Taking in a sharp breath, I run my fingers over Kayden’s chest, as I look nervously over my shoulder, “I felt like someone was watching me most of the night. I thought I was just being paranoid.”
What he’s doing Savannah, is stalking. If he doesn’t leave Galveston by tomorrow morning, we’ll be slapping a restraining order on his ass!”
I nod my head in agreement; my throat is burning as I try to speak; I close my eyes momentarily then focus back on Kayden as I finish explaining to him what happened.
I was dancing with Jacob, but then he disappeared somewhere…I don’t know where. The next thing I know I feel someone came up behind me and started dancing. I…I thought it was you!” My cries overtake me, as images of Logan’s hands on me, and the creep in my face snapping pictures.
I can’t find the words to tell Kayden about the photos that were just taken of Logan and me. He’ll really lose it.
Walking over to the booth Kayden sits me down. “Stay here…” Turning his attention to his friends, he shouts, “Sam, Beau, J.R. come with me. I gotta look for Logan Sanders. That piece of shit has gone too far. It’s about time someone taught that dickhead a lesson!”
Leaning down to kiss me, Kayden brushed away the tears from my cheeks. “Don’t cry baby. Zak will sit with you.”
Turning to Zak, Kayden tells him if we see Logan, to text his cell, and not to allow Logan to leave the bar before he had a chance to confront him.
