Promises Part 5: The Next Generation by A.E. Via (31)

Ty

Brian came to the door in a pair of cut-off sweats after his second knock. He looked at Ty then at the car idling in his driveway. His confused frown asked the question.

“You said I could come day or night,” Ty repeated what Brian had promised him on the first night when he’d dropped him off at a hotel. “I ran into some heat at my place. The same kind I encountered when you were there.”

“Anything need cleaning up?” Brian asked, going right into beast mode.

“It’s straight for now. Just need to fall back.”

“You know I got you.”

Ty glanced at Brian’s thick, hairy chest then pointed over his shoulder at the car. “I have Kellam with me.”

“Ya’ll come on in. Let me cover up,” Brian said, then turned, leaving the door open for him.

“I appreciate it.” Ty waved for Kell to get out of the car.

While he knew Brian would never disrespect him in a million years, and most importantly he was in a committed, loving relationship with his partner, Sway, Ty was glad he still respected his culture and went to put some clothes on. It wasn’t acceptable in his world to have his new fiancé around a practically naked, unmarried man.

“We’re staying here?” Kell asked when he stood on the porch beside him.

“Yes. Is that okay? I know we’ll be cool here.” Ty gazed down at his fierce knight. “Just for tonight. It’s always best to be safe, not smug. Guys like Black don’t call the cops and report an assault. They serve their own justice. So I’m gonna lay low like I been doing and fall off this gang’s radar. I’m not worried about the hood no more, because our home is already ready for us. Neither of us are going back.”

“You keep talking about that but—”

“You guys come in and close the door,” Brian said, walking toward them in a pair of sweats and a USMC t-shirt.

Ty picked up his bag, took Kell’s hand and led them inside. It wasn’t his first time at Brian’s place, but Kell hadn’t been there before.

“Your home is really nice, Brian,” Kell said, glancing through an opening just off the foyer that looked like a massive living room or den. “It’s just you here?”

“No. My partner Sway lives with me. He’s at work. He won’t be in until almost midnight.”

“Oh. What’s he do?” Kell asked.

“He’s a RN at Emory hospital.”

Brian stared at Ty for a moment. He knew what he was asking, without him having to voice it. Brian’s eyes, his entire face was extremely expressive.

“We’re good,” Ty mouthed.

“You guys hungry?”

Kell shook his head.

“No thanks we’re all right. I think we just wanna chill, ya’know,” Ty told him.

Brian’s house was mostly dark except for the light filtering from his bedroom. He walked them down a long hallway that had several closed doors on both sides before he made a left and went down another hall to a set of French of doors and swung them open. “This is the guest suite.”

Ty stepped in first after Brian flicked a couple of switches. It was more than he could’ve asked for after he’d just popped up on the man’s doorstep. The “suite” had a living room area and a small wet bar. There was a half-wall that divided the large bed from the rest of the room. It had its own master bath and private entrance to the back patio.

“This is amazing, did you do all this yourself?” Kell asked, easing past Ty and looking around the nicely decorated room.

“Sort of,” Brian answered.

Ty was relieved Kell wasn’t upset he’d had to fight in the streets tonight. That he’d had to hurt another man on Ty’s behalf. Kell didn’t seem to be stressed or worried about their current predicament, so Ty finally loosened up. He thought he’d screwed up royally. Putting Kell’s life in danger behind some silly shit. Behind gold chains and a dishonorable man with a bullshit reputation. Unacceptable. He had to do better than that as man and definitely as a husband.

“You are welcome to go anywhere in my home except my bedroom,” Brian told them, chuckling a little at Ty’s scoff. “Eat whatever you want. And if you need me, just knock on my door.”

Brian left, closing the door behind him.

Ty went to the bathroom and turned the light on. The tub was huge and the shower was large enough to fit two people. Kell was looking out of the patio doors when he came up and hugged him tightly from behind, whispering in his ear, “Hey shorty.”

“Hey,” Kell said softly.

“Bathroom looks nice. Why don’t you get cleaned up and I’ll go to the kitchen and get us some water and see if Brian has any citrus fruit for you,” Ty said, knowing what Kell liked to snack on before bed.

“That sounds good.” Kell nuzzled his forehead into the bend of his neck. “Can you ask Brian one thing for me?”

“Yes.” Ty kissed his temple.

“Can you ask him where I can meditate in the morning? If he has a quiet place that gets good sun.” Kell turned in his arms and rested his hands in the center of Ty’s chest.

“Yes. I’ll do that,” he told him and left the room with a final kiss.

He went in Brian’s kitchen and got them two bottles of water out of the refrigerator. He also grabbed a bag of baby carrots and was pulling out the second vegetable drawer when Brian’s raw voice shattered the silence of the kitchen.

“Need help looking for something?” he asked.

Ty didn’t startle but he hadn’t heard Brian until he was right up on him. Damn. He’s too big to move without making a sound. “Um, yeah actually. I was wondering if you had any citrus fruit. Kell likes to eat a lot of Vitamin C.”

Brian’s eyes glittered with amusement as he pointed at the very bottom drawer. “Got some oranges and maybe one grapefruit down there. Cutting board and knife are next to the sink.”

“Thanks,” Ty said, going about his duty. He wanted to have it waiting when Kell came out of his shower. “One more thing, also. Do you have some place Kell can meditate in the morning that gets good sun?”

“Sure. I’ll show you on your way back to the room.”

“I appreciate it.”

“You know you don’t have to thank me. You’re family.” Brian touched his shoulder.

Ty swallowed. The things Brian said always tugged at his damn heart.

When he had Kell’s fruit cut up, he followed Brian back toward their guest room. He stopped in front of an opening just before they turned the corner blocked by a Japanese-style partition. Inside the small room was a futon and a string of paper lanterns across the ceiling. One wall was floor to ceiling windows. Perfect.

“Perfect,” he told Brian. “Goodnight.”

“Hey,” Brian called out to him before he could go inside the room. He stared down at his feet for a moment then up into Ty’s eyes. His brow bunched as he stared at him with something akin to amazement. “You move just like him. So much like him. You sound like him, you—”

The pain he saw in Brian’s eyes almost gutted him. He may have sounded like his father and walked like his father, but he wasn’t him. He wasn’t Brian’s best friend who he’d lost in his arms years ago. Ty gave him a look of understanding because he missed him, too. But he’d already mourned his father once. That was enough. Brian’s pain was his own.

Brian cleared his throat, tried to compose himself. “You did good bringing Kellam here. I have everything you need to protect him. He’s safe here.”

“I know. Thank you, Brian,” Ty said and went inside the room.

Kell was on his knees beside the bed, his head bowed and hands lightly clasped together.

Kell

He was almost finished with his night prayer when he heard Ty come back through the door. He didn’t interrupt him. Instead, he heard him place some things in the mini-fridge then close himself in the bathroom. When Kell was finished thanking God for keeping them safe, he got up off his knees and started turning down the covers on the comfortable-looking bed. He ate a piece of the neatly cut orange from the plate that had been placed on the night stand and took a long drink of water. Would Ty always be so considerate? Kell knew he would. There was no way it could all be an act. He couldn’t believe how much his life had changed. For the better.

He heard the shower turn on in the bathroom. The thought of Ty’s tall, naked body all wet and soapy just a few yards away was making him hard again. Instead of climbing into bed and panting through the ache, he re-opened up Ty’s duffle bag and found him a T-shirt and a pair of nylon shorts and laid them across the bed for him. It was the least he could do, since he’d already helped himself to an extra-long T-shirt and a pair of shorts with a drawstring after he’d finished showering. He liked wearing Ty’s clothes.

He was chewing another piece of grapefruit when Ty stepped out of the steaming bathroom in nothing but a plush white towel wrapped low around his waist. Kell choked on the tart juice rushing down his throat the wrong way. His eyes watered as he fought to keep them open while he hacked and coughed. He didn’t want to miss a second of seeing Ty’s sexy body before he covered it. No matter if he could barely breathe or not.

Ty hurried over and started patting him on his back. He laughed lightly, “You okay, shorty?”

Kell nodded and blurted in between coughs. “I placed your… clothes… on the… bed.”

Ty stared at him for a long time, then at the sleep clothes that were laid neatly across the foot of the bed. “Thank you,” was all he whispered, when he picked up the clothes and took them back into the bathroom.

Ty came out dry and fully clothed. He messed around with a few things in his duffle bag before removing his firearm and placing it in the nightstand drawer on his side. He looked like he was still coming down on himself because of the fight, or there was something else heavy on his mind. As soon as Ty climbed into the bed beside him, Kell was on top of him.

Ty didn’t try to push him off, or control his hands. Instead, he let Kell love on him. This wasn’t about sex or getting off. He could see his partner was hurting. Lying there in the dimly lit room, he massaged Ty’s round shoulders and down his biceps. When he got to his right hand, he felt the swollen knuckles and caressed them too.

“That was some punch you threw back there. That guy must’ve been three hundred pounds.” Kell kissed his hand. “Did your dad teach you how to fight?”

Ty’s voice was husky as he touched him. “Yeah. He taught me how to land a punch that’ll get a man ’outta your face for good.”

“I was impressed,” Kell breathed.

“And I with you.” Ty ran his hand through Kell’s wet hair. A slow smile began to form on his lips, “So how jacked-up did you leave that guy for trying to take your chain?”

Kell shrugged. “He has about nine broken bones. With a little physical therapy, he’ll be okay.”

Ty laughed loudly. Kell leaned down and kissed his joy. It was as if he only had one goal in life now and that was to please Ty. To cater to and love him as much as Ty did him. To satisfy him when he was in need and to comfort him when he hurt. All he had to do was follow Ty’s lead and everything would fall into place for him. He’d be a good partner, a good husband, a good friend, a good fighter and damn good bounty hunter.

They kissed until Kell’s lips tingled. “You smell good.”

“Mmmm.” Ty moaned against his throat, licking and sucking on the sensitive skin there. “Now you trying to get loved-up in another man’s house, shorty?”

Unnngh. And Ty was dropping that street sexiness on him too. Kell was trying to make this solely about his partner, but damn.

“I can’t help it. Being on you feels ’s’good.” Kell slowly ground his pelvis against Ty’s solid abs. “God, I want you so much. I want to taste you and make you feel good. I wanna make you forget all about today and relax.”

“I love you, Kell.” Ty wrapped his arms tight around him and hugged him close.

Dang, he gives the best hugs.

“We’ll wait until Friday. I promise we will. But let me take care of you tonight for once… please.”

Ty

There was only so many times a man could refuse his deepest, most carnal desire. And his was Kellam Knight. His fiancé pushed his shirt up and over his head, then resumed his massage. His hands were strong and smooth except for the tiny calluses in his palms. When Kell ran his hands across his chest, his thumbs grazing his nipples, Ty’s back arched dramatically. His breathing became more erratic the lower Kell went.

Oh my damn. What’s he doing? “Unnngh. Fuck.” Ty groaned when his cock was freed from the confines of his shorts. The cool air did nothing to soften his erection.

“I wanna put my mouth all over you,” Kell said between kisses as he peppered them along his abdomen and groin. Kell took long inhales of him, then buried his face in the crease of his thigh. All he could do was lie on his back, spread his thighs and stroke Kell’s hair while he touched and pleased him in the best way.

Kell pulled his shorts off and tossed them onto the floor. Then removed Ty’s. He lay there naked as the day he was born, his cock pointed in the direction it wanted to go; right between Kell’s sweet lips. Never breaking eye contact, Kell bent lower and swiped the flat of his tongue over the head of Ty’s dick, taking most of the pre-come that’d gathered there.

“Shiiiiit.” Ty hissed again, his lower body spasming and contracting against his will.

Kell slowly circled his tongue around the head then swallowed it. Ty almost bucked off the bed. This was going to be over embarrassingly fast. He tucked one hand behind his head, leaving the other tangled in Kell’s damp hair.

“You like that?” Kell asked.

Yes! More. Ty couldn’t respond with words, wasn’t sure if he still knew any. All he could do was tighten his grip a little and nod eagerly. Kell licked down his shaft and back up the other side, then closed his mouth snugly around his head. Ty bit his lip to keep from crying out. He didn’t know who was moaning louder. Kell had his entire body wrapped around Ty’s leg like a koala hugging a tree. He rubbed his flushed cock against Ty’s shin while he sucked him down as far as he could.

“I’m close,” Ty groaned, his punk-ass feeling some type of way for having to admit that after less than a minute. But, with Kell getting himself off using Ty’s body while he pleasured him with his mouth was just too much for a man who hadn’t had any in two years to withstand.

“Yes. Come in my mouth,” Kell begged, diving back down again. His peachy lips were spread nice and wide, his actions so energetic. The sounds Kell made around his joint had sparks igniting in his sac. He wanted to come so bad he was already seeing stars. He fought to keep his hips still, but they had a mind of their own. He kept his thrust relaxed and shallow, not wanting to force Kell to take too much, but his partner only encouraged him to lunge deeper down his throat. The first time he gagged on his length, Kell moaned and sucked harder like he’d enjoyed it.

He’s so perfect.

Ty’s balls tightened and his cock pulsed violently against Kell’s hot tongue. Oh fuck, oh fuck. “Baby, I can’t hold it.” He barely got out. Ty clenched his abs, his upper body rising off the bed as he exploded inside his fiancé’s mouth, releasing all the pressure and mayhem of the day. Kell grunted loudly and clamped his lips around his cock as warmth spread onto his thigh and between his legs. Kell ground his hips wantonly against him. His own groan was just as drawn out as Kell milked him thoroughly.

They lay sprawled against each other, coming down from the high of their powerful orgasms. He was almost asleep when he felt a warm, damp cloth cleaning his legs. He’d never smoked any weed but this had to be close to what being blazed felt like. Ty floated on a cloud. Oh yeah, he was a goner. Kell had him sprung, caught. Hook, line, and sinker; and that had only been from his lover’s mouth. He could only imagine how it was gonna be his first time inside him. He’d given Kell his first orgasm in a month. In a couple of days he’d give him his first sex in years.

With all the lights off, Kell nestled into Ty’s chest with his arms around him. “Now. Sleep well,” Kell whispered, then placed a gentle kiss on his cheek. Kell’s face, his mouth, his warm skin all smelled like Ty. He closed his eyes and let his soulmate put him at ease and into a deep, dreamless sleep. A power only he possessed.
