CHAPTER TWO

COMMANDER CERIK HADE

“Ravinn, any news?” I said as I entered the barracks of our warrior training grounds on my home planet of Kelon.

“Commander Cerik Hade, no nothing new, sir. Just the same,” Ravinn said.

“That is good. If things stay the same, then my plan will be more successful. I won't have to change things.”

“It is a very dangerous mission that you have come up with. Will you not let me accompany you? No one knows Ephane better than I do. I am the reason that he joined the opposition in the first place,” Ravinn said.

“No, I have to go alone. You especially cannot join me. Since you have a history with Ephane, his rage for you personally can make things more complicated. He might kill you on sight. He does not know me at all. Because of that, I have a better chance of finding out what he is up to. I have to go alone. It is what the King has granted, and it is what shall be done,” I said.

“I understand.”

“Stay with your human, Amelia; she is with child again, and she and your offspring need you. The entire Draqua race counts on it.”

Ravinn grinned, “Yes, Amelia would have my head if I went on another mission. I only just arrived back from Tiok last week. She does not like to worry, and I do not enjoy making her worry, especially in her condition.”

“Yes, good point. I leave in twenty-four hours. I am off to get some much-needed sleep. I leave you to prepare my ship and the ship artillery. We need to make this look real, or the plan will not work.”

“I understand, Commander. Go to your home and get some rest. I will make sure that all preparations are in order for your take off from Kelon to Earth.”

“Thank you, Ravinn,” I said as he saluted me and I left the barracks to go to my hut and get some sleep. Ravinn was, a loyal and good warrior. He knew Ephane from a few years before. Ephane had caused some problems for Ravinn and his now wife, Amelia. After that, Ephane disappeared, and sometime later we found out that he joined our enemies, the opposition. Even though Ephane was a hybrid like myself and Ravinn, he joined the opposition out of spite. He was the most dangerous member of the opposition for us because of one reason: he had been working in the governmental systems on our planet. He knew a lot about the structures that we used in the village. He knew the ins and outs of the king and the warriors. He brought extensive knowledge to the opposition. So when we got word that he was planning a big project with the opposition, the king put several stealth missions into action to find out what he was up to. I was one of these missions; each one was to be done alone. There was a mission on Pacu, there were some out in space, and I was going to Earth. I was more than happy to go on this mission. I was a commander, after all, a damn good one. This was what I lived for. I enjoyed the thrill of the hunt, and as a single hybrid Draqua, I did not have offspring or a wife to think about when choosing to go on this mission. I had spent my entire warrior career fighting the opposition. I had come in contact with many of their leaders, and even got rid of a few personally. I was always victorious on my missions and never ever failed. I was one that the other younger hybrids looked up to. I was the best of the best. I was going to stop Ephane no matter what it took. I was willing to put my life on the line as well as that of a human. Whatever was necessary to get this mission done, it was bigger than anyone of us. If it was just as detrimental as we thought it to be, Ephane's plan needed to be stopped at all costs.

I went to bed, getting as much sleep as I possibly could. The road ahead of me was going to be dangerous, and I was going to be alone. I needed to be alert on the long journey to Earth.

The next day, I left my home planet and started on my mission to Earth. The journey to Earth went off without any problems. I entered Earth exactly in the area that we had planned. Then I went to an isolated area of Earth in order to pick up a human female mate. It was all part of the plan. Now I stood on my ship with this human female shouting at me. I had to admit that I was not expecting to find such a perfect human specimen for myself. Picking up a human female mate was just a necessity of the mission, but this human female was turning out to be exactly what I had been waiting for. I was turned on the moment that I saw her. My cock grew hard underneath my loincloth and I had to restrain myself from pulling her into my arms and planting a good hard kiss on her. There would be plenty of time for that later, if we survived. But I was very impressed by her and her ample body. I was not expecting to come upon on a human female that was practically naked. She wore a thin yellow cloth across her breasts and bottom, and nothing else. It was perfect because I was able to see exactly what I was getting in a new human mate. Her breasts were large and plump and barely concealed by the cloth. Her bottom was full and round with hips that would be perfect for giving birth to Draqua offspring. Her skin was tan and her brown hair was long and wet. Her entire body was wet, and it seemed that she was swimming in a pool of water only moments before. She was fiery and feisty just the way I liked a match to be. If I had more time I would seduce her and take her right there on Earth, but there was no time for that. Not now anyway. But I could not wait to push my cock into her warm center and watch her thick body jiggle with every movement as I fucked her. It would be worth the wait, I knew that for sure.

“Yes, you are going to my planet, human female. We leave now,” I said to her.

“No, I am not. And stop calling me human female. I don't like it,” she said.

“Then what shall I call you?” I asked as I picked her up and planted her in a seat. She struggled in my arms.

“My name is Maria, you alien brute! Don't handle me like this. Let me go!”

I strapped her into the seat. I took a few steps back away from her. Then in a flash, I shifted out of dragon form. I looked at the human. Her mouth was wide open.

“What the hell was that? What happened to your wings? What happened to your scales?” she asked.

“I am a dragon shifter. This is my normal appearance. When I want to be a dragon, I shift into dragon form.”

“That is unbelievable!” she said.

I smiled. She was impressed, as she should be. I was a damn impressive creature. I was attractive, strong, and one hell of a warrior. There was much for her to be impressed with. Then I moved to the pilot chair and began to make the ship invisible again. I was ready to take off and start phase two of my mission.

“You can't take me. This is wrong!” she shouted at me.

“It is happening. You will listen to me. You will do what I say,” I said as I pushed the ignition. The ship went straight into the atmosphere of Earth.

“Oh no!” she shouted.

“Hold on,” I said to her.

“I can't believe this is happening. This can't be happening. This can't be real. I am going to wake up from this weird dream anytime soon,” she said, talking to herself. I smiled as I listened to her. This was the normal reaction when we came to Earth to harvest human females for our breeding program. Human females had become a necessity on our planet. The females of our own species had become barren. There were only a few of them that could produce offspring, and we did not know why. Because of this, over the last few decades, we had searched for another species to interbreed with. That was when we found the humans. We had been secretly taking them from Earth for years and breeding with them, creating hybrid offspring of Draqua. I was one of those hybrids; my mother was a human and my father a full-blooded Draqua. The entire existence of our race relied on breeding with human females, but there were those that wanted to keep the Draqua blood pure. They opposed us breeding with the human females, and therefore we called them the opposition. They did everything they could to stop us from mixing with the human race and creating hybrids like myself. It had created years of war between us. It was something that we had to constantly gather intelligence on because they were always planning something, some form of attack. We had to stay on our toes, and on our wings. They were very dangerous to our very existence. Now, with the threat of Ephane and his plan, there was a sense of doom looming over our village. The king wanted action. He demanded that the warriors figure out what Ephane was up to and stop it.

“I don't understand why you are doing this. I didn't ask for this,” Maria said.

“Sometimes our fate is not in our hands. You must just go along with what life throws at you,” I said as I looked over my shoulder at her and smiled.

“What kind of bullshit answer is that?” she yelled at me. I laughed. I liked her a lot. It was too bad that I was putting her in danger, but there was nothing that I could do about it. It was out of necessity. I would take care of her and make sure that nothing happened to her—at least nothing that she couldn't bounce back from.

“Oh my God, is that space?” she yelled.

In front of us out of the windshield, the purple of the night sky of Earth turned into complete black.

“Yes, we have exited the atmosphere of Earth. We are in space. We are making a path for my home planet several galaxies away,” I said to her as I typed in the coordinates for my home planet of Kelon. The path would take us conveniently by a space station occupied by the opposition.

“No way. I never thought I would see this. This is unbelievable. It is absolutely beautiful. I can't believe this is real,” she said, and I could hear a bit of a tremor in her voice. I looked over my shoulder at her. There was a tear going down her cheek. I was touched by her emotion. The view of space was moving to her, that was promising. It meant that perhaps she would find the beauty of my planet moving as well. Deep in her heart it was obvious that she wanted to see something other than Earth, or it would not have moved her so.

“Yes, space is dark and beautiful. You will see many things on the way to my planet. Things that you thought never existed in the universe. But when we get to my planet you will see just how beautiful it is. Nothing on Earth can compare, I know I have been to Earth many times.”

She gasped. “What do you mean? You have been to Earth many times? Why? Why do you come to Earth?”

“There is a lot to explain. There is time for me to explain later. For now, let us concentrate on safely leaving your solar system,” I said as I concentrated on the controls. I sent a message to Ravinn back on Kelon, letting him know the status of my mission. We had forty-eight hours before we would be in that dangerous zone.
