Chapter Five
Richard
It was ten in the morning and I had a moment to give her a call. She didn’t answer. That sucked big time, but I managed to leave her a message. “Hey Rachael, this is Richard. I’m going to try to call around two. I hope you’re having a good morning.”
At two, I called again, and she answered.
“Hey, beautiful,” I replied to her hello.
“Hi, Richard, I’m so sorry I missed your call. I was in the shower.” Instantly my dick was hard, picturing her naked with water sluicing down her body.
“Richard, are you there?” she asked, shaking me out of the vision that had my hand against my pants stroking my thick cock.
“Sorry, baby. I’m here. How are you doing?”
“I’m okay. How are you?”
“I’m missing you. I can’t wait to see you again.”
“Me too. So, are you really busy?”
“Yes, unfortunately. My secretary and I are the only ones who work for my company.”
“Secretary?” Immediately, I heard that tone. It was different, but I didn’t know what it was about.
“Yes, she’s been with me for the past year.”
“Oh,” she muttered. I got exactly what is was about. She was jealous.
“Rachael, there’s nothing going on between her and I. I haven’t been on a date in years. No way would I date someone who works for me. That would be inappropriate. That’s not smart. I have no interest in her.”
“Sorry, it’s just she gets to see you.”
“I know you’re feeling a little insecure, but you’ve got nothing to worry about. I miss the hell out of you. We only met yesterday, but I feel like we’ve known each other longer.”
“How am I supposed to wait to see you?” Damn, that made me happy to hear. She was as eager to see me as I was her.
“I can drive over after work today,” I offered. It was really what I wanted. Fuck, I wanted to scoop her up and take her home with me. She was an adult. I didn’t know how her parents would feel about it, but she was old enough to make her own decisions.
“No, it’s already snowing. The weather isn’t going to be good for the next couple of days,” she told me.
“I’d make the trip for you, Rachael.”
“No, it’s not safe.”
“You know I may have to kidnap you on Sunday and not bring you back.”
“You have to work. Speaking of, I need to get a job. I can’t wait for the next semester.”
“You don’t need to work. But school is a big thing. What is it that you’re going for?”
“I’m a liberal arts major because I don’t have a preference.”
“No? There’s nothing you want to be?”
“There is, but most people think it’s old-fashioned…” she paused, and I thought about what it could be. Many women want to be businesswomen and I’d seen the growing trend, but old-fashioned? What’s that? Teacher? Nurse?
“What is it?”
“It sounds silly, but I want to be a mom like my mom.”
“Really?” I almost fell out of my seat. I couldn’t have heard that right.
“I know it’s not the thing these days.” I could hear her hesitation and embarrassment in her voice. She had no reason for that because she was mine and we were going to have a house full of babies if I had anything to say about it.
“Rachael, hearing you say that just made me the happiest SOB around.”
“You act like we’re going to get married or something,” she challenged, brushing off my sincerity which I’d prove to her later.
“We are. That I promise. I’ll make you fall in love with me and want my babies.” I was more than half-way in love with her. I knew it was love from the first time I heard her speak, but after last night, I went home knowing she was going to be my wife one day.
“Um…”
“You don’t have to say anything, Rachael. I’ll be proving it to you soon.”
“I can’t wait to see you, Richard.”
“Same here, baby. I want to see your face when I hear about your day.”
“Sunday can’t come soon enough. I have to get back to work. Can I call you tonight? Say around seven?”
“I’d love that.”
“Stay sweet, baby.”
“Bye, Richard.” I set the phone on the base and rubbed my hands through my hair. This was going to be the longest night of my life. I looked at my calendar and Christmas was less than two weeks away. I had to think about how we were spending it. We were going to spend it together for sure.
