The Kanes: The Complete Series (The Kane Family) by C.M. Steele (6)

Chapter Nine

Richard

The way she creamed for me stiffened my cock to new levels. I couldn’t even think for a minute. If she’d asked me anything I would have been struck dumb. No blood flow to the brain. The way her body responded to me was a blessing. I could see her thoughts going in circles like a hamster wheel about why I was so good at getting her to scream for more. I wasn’t experienced enough to make her come like that. It was luck and improvisation that made that happen. I’d never spanked a woman on her pussy before, but it set her ablaze like I was a pro.

The cold seats in the car settled my cock down for a second, but the second I saw the way she stole a glance at my stiffness, I was thoroughly fucked.

My place was another twenty minutes away and I was stuck in the car with the woman that would one day be my wife and the straight up passion I had for her wasn’t letting up. Every church we passed should have given me a guilt trip, but all it did was make we wonder if we could schedule a Christmas wedding.

“Baby, I’m going to have to tell your father that you’re not staying at your home anymore.”

“What? You trying to kidnap me?”

“That would imply that you don’t want to go with me.” I laughed when she couldn’t refute it. I knew she wanted to be with me or I wouldn’t even play that card, but she was into me as I was into her. I fucking loved it. This is what I hoped for all my life. Now to make sure I stayed on top of my game and ran the markets like a pro and hope that there was no collapse. At least pull some investments into savings. I knew the market was bound to dip in the future, how long was anyone’s guess, but when it did I had to decide to ride the wave or jump ship.  “I see that mind wandering. Where’s it going?” she asked me.

“Sorry, thinking about the future and investments,” I told her as I pulled outside of my apartment building.

“Oh, I thought maybe you were thinking about us,” she muttered. One thing Rachael wasn’t able to do was hide her emotions. I could see them from a mile away. It worked for me and I hoped it would for her.

I undid my seatbelt and leaned over, brushing her dark hair away from her face. Cupping her warm cheek, I said with conviction and honesty, “Oh baby, I am. You are my future. Keeping the business running at the best for us, is what I was thinking about. Come on, let’s go inside and see what we can have delivered.”

“Okay, great. I want to see a bachelor pad.”

“It’s nothing like you’d think. No pictures of models in skimpy clothes or leaning on sports cars.” I came around and opened the door for her quickly before she got out on her own, even though my thighs were burning. “By the way, I like opening the door for you, so please let me.”

“That’s nice. I’ll try to remember that.” I took another fast kiss before taking her bag out and leading her to the main entrance. After getting in, I led her to the bank of elevators. I’d just had them replaced because they tended to get stuck and I didn’t want that liability on me.

This was a large building. And all the apartments were rented. Mine was the penthouse one, but it was my place, of course I’d have the best one. I unlocked my door and welcomed her into our temporary home.

“Wow, not what I expected. This looks like you went into a Victorian home and snatched their things. This is cooler than I thought. I hope that doesn’t sound bad, but I was expecting stark contrast black and white like the new styles.”

“I don’t like that style, but you can change anything you don’t like.”

“No, I love this. What do you want to eat? I’m starting to get hungry,” she said, taking off her coat and putting it on the rack next to the door. I didn’t put her bag down because it belonged in our room.

“I have a pizza place that’s good around the corner.”

“I could go for that.”

“Give me a second,” I said, walking over to the bedroom down the hall and setting her bag down. “The menu is on the fridge.”

“Got it,” she said, just as I walked in there. She was looking down at it, biting her lip. I wanted to make love to her right then and there. I wasn’t even sure why I felt it at that moment. It wasn’t something special to see her looking at my beat-up menu, but I was entranced.

She whipped her head toward me, feeling me stare at her pretty profile. “Richard, you got that look on your face again. That one that says you won’t be able to keep your hands off me. Order the pizza, I want some veggies.” She pressed the menu to my chest, then stepped around me, dodging my grasp.

“You should get used to that look,” I called out, reaching for the kitchen phone.

“Oh, I look forward to it, but feed me first,” she answered, leaning over the breakfast bar with a smile. With the cord stretched, I came face to face with her, stealing another kiss.

“Yes, I need to order a pizza,” I said when they answered the line. Once I ended the call, I gave her a wolfish grin.

“Oh no, mister. You need to cool your heels. I’m not able to handle any more of you before I eat.”

“Fair enough, what do you want to do?”

“Tell me a little about investments. I don’t know anything other than my father tried to give my brother a chance to be involved and he blew it.”

“Well, I don’t know their details or why it failed exactly, but I operate my own way. I may come off as maybe controlling, but for now, I feel I have the best grasp on the method I use.”

“Well, what’s that? I’m interested in more than your body, Mr. Kane.”

“Baby, I hope so because, like stocks, that’ll dip in the future too. See, for me, technology’s steady growth is in my advantage, but I have to read what companies are working on and who they hire. That’s the fault of many part-time or complacent investors. They never look at the companies themselves. If the company is on the open market, look into their hiring. Is their team stocked with the best minds or half asses with no ambition? Steve Jobs, in my eyes, had potential to make Apple massive revenue. I don’t see the insides of the company, but you had geniuses in marketing and engineering on their squad. I have no intentions of ever pulling that stock. They seemed the way to go. I invested the same for both yours and Claire, hoping that I’m making the smart choice.”

Like I told her father via phone yesterday, I invested them in the places I personally did. Almost all my clients had investments in those two except when I had people who claimed to know better. Ultimately, my clients got final say if they chose, but they couldn’t blame me if they failed and didn’t take my advice. The FTC wasn’t on my ass for nothing. I was good, and they wondered what I was up to.

“That sounds smart. Although if we do become a major thing and this isn’t some whim, wouldn’t investing our earnings in other areas be a way to go, like spreading into multiple baskets?”

“It’s definitely not a whim. And once I get you to see that, we’ll be getting married and making my long hours and hard work worth it with a big family.”

“I’d like that, Richard.”

“I love that you want that too. It would be hard if we were both  working to be successful outside the house and no one is there to reap the benefits.”

“Yeah, I couldn’t see it being very happy at home if we both didn’t have something to come home to.”

“I’m so glad I met you, Rachael. I wish my mother had been a tenth of what you aim to be. My deadbeat dad was a tenth of the man I aim to be; drugs and women were more important than family. I don’t want that life, Rachael. I want the white picket fence, a sexy wife who’s worked hard dealing with kids, the PTA, and whatever else comes up in the madhouse that we make a home.”

“Richard Kane, don’t make me fall in love with a fantasy.”

“No, baby. It’s all real. I’ll give you anything I can. I promise that.” I leaned in and stole a kiss before taking her into my arms and holding her close to me.

The pizza didn’t take long, or so it seemed. I ran down to get it and returned to find her with the glasses and some soda set up for us. We both ate and talked after taking it to the living room to watch some television. Webster was on and it was the first time I saw the show since it came out. It was funny and heartwarming. What was even cooler about the show was the dad had been a famous football player from the Detroit Lions.

We snuggled on the sofa for another three shows, slowly talking less and less. I didn’t realize it, but the skating drained us both. She fell asleep with her head on my chest and my eyes were heavy too. Leaving everything where it was at, I scooped her up in my arms and placed her on our bed. I was kind of glad she’d fallen asleep. It was going to be hard to keep that promise until Tuesday afternoon.
