Their Perfect Future: A M/m Age Play Romance (Pieces Book 4) by M.A. Innes (12)

Bryan

The sound of rain pulled me from my dreams. Burying my head under the pillow, I groaned. Muscles I usually didn’t notice felt over-stretched and sore like I’d run a marathon. Or ridden a horse. I had to grin. My reward was something I wasn’t going to be able to forget anytime soon.

When Mad talked about a reward for standing up for myself, I’d pictured all kinds of things. Sexy fantasies that’d made it hard to think. Mad was fabulous when it came to keeping me guessing and taking me apart. Last night, he’d done something totally different though.

I’d taken charge more than ever. Although I wouldn’t say I was in control.

He’d still been my Dom, he’d just let me use him for my pleasure. It was erotic and incredible but didn’t feel quite right. As rewards went, it was perfect. I just didn’t need one every night. Being able to choose when I got to orgasm and if he got to come was hard. There were too many wonderful options.

It was easier when I didn’t have to think.

I loved that Mad had given me the choice.

He was—

“Your mind is thinking too loud.” Maddox’s voice rumbled out from under the covers. “I don’t know which is harder to ignore, your brain or the rain.”

“The rain.” It meant our plans for the lake were out.

“No, your thoughts because sometimes they buzz around like bees.” He rolled over, wrapping me in his arms. “We should’ve put your diaper on last night and gotten you ready for bed. I think you’d still be sleeping if you’d had a chance to unwind.”

I snorted, moving my head to lay it on top of the pillow. Now that my brain was working, I didn’t think more rest was likely. “I had a fabulous night and an explosive orgasm. Staying up even five more minutes would have killed us both.”

“But it would have given you a chance to feel more relaxed and get in the right headspace.” Mad snuggled his face against my neck and his warm breath on my skin made me shiver. “You’re too wound up. We’ll time your reward better next time.”

“I loved last night.” I pushed in closer to him. Blushing, I kept going. “I liked being on top like that.”

His teeth nipped at my chest, just the barest scrape against my skin but it had every nerve ending singing. “You needed time to come down from that. It wasn’t relaxing for you. You were so sexy, B. So incredible.”

Mad’s hands came up to cup my face, and he pushed his head out from under the covers. Giving me a kiss, he kept it short and tender. “Good morning.”

He always made me smile, but this time I gave him an exaggerated frown. “It’s raining. No lake today.”

That got me another kiss, and he wrapped his arms back around me. “Maybe it will stop. If not, we can figure out something else to do.”

“Like what?” I’d wanted to go to the lake. Coming home meant I got to go sit down by the water and relax.

“I don’t know. We’ll figure out something. But first, shower and food.” He was serious, but that wasn’t how I pictured the day starting.

Before I could even open my mouth, he barked out a short laugh and shook his head. “You are too sore for anything. That not-so-subtle groan gave it away. My baby isn’t used to riding like a cowboy.”

“That’s terrible.” Laughing, I watched as he rolled off and started to sit up. He was right about a couple of things. First, I was probably too sore to enjoy it, but that didn’t mean I didn’t want to play with him. And second, the day always started much better when I was wearing my diaper and he was Daddy.

Acknowledging it, even to myself, made me feel good. I might not be confident enough to share the things I liked and who I really was with more people, but admitting what I liked to myself was getting easier. Maybe Mad had been right last night.

We showered separately because Mad wasn’t going to budge about me waiting until I was feeling better. I tried to explain that it was just sore muscles and not because of the actual sex. He said it still counted and asked if I needed him to get the cock cage out. I didn’t even look to see if he actually had it, but I stopped mentioning morning sex after that. The only problem at that point was threatening me with the cage made the desire to play worse.

He made me crazy. He had to know that would happen.

We made it downstairs quicker than I would have liked, but there was a surprise waiting that made it better. “Oh, did she get the chocolate kind?” Opening up the box, I saw the chocolate croissants as well as cream cheese ones and a variety of others. Mad just laughed and started shaking his head over my excitement.

“After all the sugar you had last night, I don’t know what she was thinking.” He started mumbling something about me needing to eat healthier and went over to the coffeepot which was wonderfully full. My mom was the best.

“You sounded like you just had an orgasm. What the hell is in the box?” Kevin evidently wasn’t a morning person. He came in grumbly, looking around the room.

“Coffee?” I tried to hold back a laugh, but I wasn’t successful.

“Yes.” He moaned out the word like he was a dying man searching for water.

I pointed to the counter at the far end of the kitchen where Mad was standing. “Cups are above it and milk is in the fridge.”

Once he had a full mug of coffee in his hand, Kevin’s mood improved. He came back over to the table and peered into the box. “Oh, those look good.”

“They’re the best.” I picked out the largest chocolate one I could see and started in on it. “I want a cream cheese one too, so don’t take all of them.”

Maybe she hadn’t grabbed too many after all.

I’d always been the biggest eater in the family, but Kevin looked like he’d give me a run for my money. When he started in on his second one and was eyeing his third, I snatched up two more before he could get to them first.

Mad was nearly hysterical with laughter by the time Jeremy came walking in. He took one look at Kevin and me and shook his head. “What did you do?”

Kevin looked up at him and through a mouthful of chocolaty perfection mumbled, “What? Nothing.”

Snorting, Jeremy looked at the box then at me. “You two are not fighting over high-priced donuts. Got it?”

We both blinked innocently, then Kevin grabbed another cream cheese one while I wasn’t looking. “Hey!”

Jeremy took the box away from both of us.

Then he started scolding Mad for letting it go that far. His response was that he wasn’t Kevin’s daddy so he shouldn’t have to referee both of us. I was not-so-quietly dying. But at least with Jeremy there, Kevin wouldn’t get any more of my pastries.

We ate, and I was finally able to relax since I didn’t have to guard the box. We tossed around different ideas about what to do if the rain didn’t stop, but it was already easing off so I thought we might not have anything to worry about.

Once we were full of caffeine and sugar and much more awake, we saw the note on the fridge. Mom had left a quick message asking us to stop by and pick up the cheesecake she’d ordered. After seeing the way we decimated the stuff from breakfast, I hoped she’d ordered a bigger one than we’d gotten in the past.

We decided that if we couldn’t find anything else to do, then we’d go see the movie that afternoon instead of Friday when Mom would have off. She didn’t seem that interested in seeing it anyway since the sexy alien she liked had gotten killed in the first movie.

“Your mom is hilarious.” Kevin grinned.

“She makes me crazy.”

“But you wouldn’t trade her in.” Mad leaned back in his chair and eyed the coffeepot like he was considering another cup. He looked back at me. “Because you could end up with mine instead.”

Jeremy snorted. “Or ours.”

“Oh yeah, I won the mother lottery even though I think she lives to embarrass me.”

They had to agree with that. Making me crazy was a hobby for her. We decided to go down and get the cheesecake first thing so while Jeremy and Kevin went to go grab showers, Mad grabbed another cup of coffee. He decided I’d had enough crap and had given me one of his stern Dom looks when I’d looked longingly at the last of the coffee.

Cuddling up on the couch, we watched TV while we waited for them to get dressed. They got ready quickly so they must have stayed on task. No funny business for anyone that morning. By the time we were heading out the door, the weather was starting to clear. When they realized the bakery was just around the block, they agreed walking sounded like more fun.

Walking home with the biggest cheesecake I’d ever seen, we were surprised to see Mr. Haslet on his front porch. His rich voice boomed out from the house. “You boys were supposed to come grab some tomatoes. If you don’t, she’ll give me hell next year when I want to plant more.”

“Mom said you had plenty of good stuff for us to take back to school.” Smiling, I leaned against the fence.

“You boys come on up; bring your friends. Your mom mentioned you were gonna be back this week and I have to say, the timing is perfect. The tomatoes are taking over the pantry. My daughter’s gonna kill me if I don’t get rid of some.” He shook his head and stood up. “We’ll get your friends some too. I’m sure they could use some salsa. That turned out pretty good.”

Jeremy and Kevin didn’t blink at the floral skirt and pink sweater, but I wasn’t sure pink was his color. We’d talked about him in the past, and I was guessing the stories were hard to forget. Mom had been keeping us up-to-date with the neighborhood gossip. The previous evening, we’d heard that he’d had lunch several times with a lady one town over, but he’d had dinner with the gentleman who ran the library book drive every year three or four times already.

Mr. Haslet was evidently playing it close to the vest and not even hinting at if his evenings out were purely friendly, but Mom was leaning toward no. She thought they looked cute together when she’d seen them last week. I told her it wasn’t her business, but she’d just laughed and said that if he didn’t want people talking, then he’d take his gentleman friend to a bar and not for a walk in the park.

I wasn’t sure he wanted the attention, but I was glad he was starting to figure out who he really was.

After making introductions, we were plied with jars of tomatoes, salsa, and even some green beans that looked pretty good. The guys weren’t sure what to make of him. There hadn’t been that many functional open-minded adults before they’d gone to college, so he surprised them.

Mom must have been giving him some of the inside scoop, the little she knew, because he treated them just like family. After giving us instructions on using the tomatoes and telling us to bring the jars back when we came for Christmas we were sent on our way. Evidently, he had “an occasion” to get ready for.

Date?

With which one?

Everyone else was having a hard time minding their own business too.

Maddox broke first. “Who do you think he’s seeing?”

Kevin looked confused. “That meant date, right?”

“It had to. Did you see his grin?” Jeremy was laughing and shaking his head.

Mr. Haslet looked like he was planning on having a good time at his “occasion.” “I want to call him a dirty old man but I’m not sure if that applies.”

They laughed, and Mad nodded. “It has to. No matter what he’s wearing or how he sees himself, he’s got that dirty-old-man-who’s-going-to-shock-everyone look to him.”

“I want to be that cool when I get old.” Kevin’s smile had a wicked feel to it.

“You’re already well on your way.” Jeremy laughed and dodged out of the reach of Kevin’s hand as he leaned over to smack him.

Kevin tried to protest, but he was outvoted. If any of us would turn out to be as interesting as Mr. Haslet, it would be Kevin. He grumbled but the teasing glint in his eyes ruined it. It didn’t take a psychic to figure out that Jeremy would have his hands full later. Kevin looked like he was going to get him back good.

I just hoped they remembered my mother would hear them if they went too crazy.

That was not a conversation I wanted to have at the breakfast table.
