Unchaste Fate (Pretty Pinks MC Book 1) by Dana Arden (16)

Chapter 15

Banshee

I cradle Bellamy in my arms as she weeps into my chest. I load her into her dad’s truck before they can follow the ambulance to the hospital. “Take care of her. I won’t be far behind.” I murmur to Kenny with my eyes locked on her. I see him nod in my peripheral and I back off so he can close the door. I watch the truck speed off.

Spinning around, I take in the devastation of the drive-by. Bells lost one of the most important women in her life; Moe’s will be out of business for construction and the milling around of bikers who let their guard down with confusion and rage filtering in the air.

I find Rudy in the crowd as he directs his brothers. How in the hell could he have trusted a bunch of thugs to keep their word when their only concern is peddling drugs and making money. Brute approaches him with anger rolling off him in waves seething to be set free.

I creep up on their heated discussion. “I told you. I told you not to trust them, but you wouldn’t listen. How’s it taste, brother?” Brute fumes. “Stalking a woman may be small potatoes for you, but in my club, we watch out for our own regardless if it's meniscal or massive.” Brute stomps off, and I step in his place.

“Still feel think the Blue Enigma are honorable. Standing in the rumble isn’t settling too well with me. What are you going to do about it?” I don’t wait for an answer as I stride to Bellamy’s car and set off for the hospital. The Devils and the Pinks settle on their bikes firing them up and follow me.

The scene in the hospital makes me take a step back. Kenny has Reggie by the throat. Travis has a portly man on his stomach with his knee digging into his back. Mitchell has another man bent over struggling to breathe. Bellamy is square in the middle with Pyro on his knees in front of her with a handful of his hair in her grasp as she pulls down. The glint from her other hand under his chin yields a small blade pressed steadily with a drop of blood skimming down his neck.

The remaining gang members are standing off to the side waiting for our next move. Brute barges into the mix at Kenny’s side. “Reggie, you’ve got some explaining to do. You stalk Banshee’s ol’lady after she tries to help you out, and then you go and shoot up Moe’s not even twenty minutes ago having the audacity to show your face in the same hospital where they brought her Granny, which I might add was killed in your dick swinging attempt to off us all.”

“I swear, Brute, I had nothing to do with it.” He fumbles. “We haven’t left this hospital today. The boys were getting ready to ride out and see what all the fuss was about after we heard some of the nurses talking about a shootout.”

Kenny drops Reggie on his ass and turns to Bellamy. “Which motherfucker confronted you yesterday, baby girl?”

Bellamy yanks Pyro’s head to the side to face her dad. “This puny son of a bitch. How does it feel to be cornered and threatened now?” She spits on him. “I’ll tell you assholes one more time. BACK. THE. FUCK. OFF. ME.” She shoves Pyro who falls to the floor on his hands and knees coughing. She stares daggers at Reggie. “You don’t need to be afraid of the Devils or even the Chaotic’s. You need to sleep with one eye opened because the next time you fuck with me and mine, I’ll shove a gun in your mouth and decorate the walls with your brains before you can blink an eye.” She flips the blade closed and stuffs it in her bra before demanding her brothers release their toys and bypasses the Devils and the Pinks out the sliding doors with her family on her heels.

When they clear the door, I point at Reggie. “I wasn’t in the Marines for years fighting the enemy not to have a sixth sense for lies. You may have been here and not out their on that street shooting, but your ass knows who’s behind this. You either come clean, or I’ll set Bellamy lose. She was the best sharpshooter the Marines ever had, so it doesn’t matter if she’s in your face or miles away from you, she’ll light your ass up and anyone around you in a matter of seconds.”

Reggie blanches. “I have an idea, but it’s not one-hundred percent. I wasn’t trying to stalk Bellamy. I was trying to keep her safe. I wanted to make sure that after she was seen helping Victor and with me that she was protected.” He rasps. “I’ll meet ya’ll at the Chaotic’s.”

“Nah, motherfucker. You’ll meet us at the Devils’ Clubhouse. This has nothing to do with the Chaotic’s. This is Pinks and Devils you’ve fucked with, and that is who’s going to clean up your fucking mess. If you ain’t there in two hours, we’ll take it as a big fuck you, and we’ll be scouting ya’ll out until there ain’t a one of ya left.” Brute warns.

We funnel out of the hospital with the intention of heading to Blairsville when I see Travis leaning against Bellamy’s Charger. I step in front of him taking in his cool expression. I glance around the parking lot. “Where’s she?”

“She’s collecting her guns.” He says nonchalantly.

“Where are her guns and what does she need them for?”

“Look Banshee, I know you think you know my sister well, but you have no clue. She may have been emotional earlier with losing Granny and the madness that happened, but she’s not the type to sit around and twiddle her thumbs.”

“What the hell do you mean by that?” I ask confused. I know Bellamy better than most.

“She’s a planner. She’s probably worked it all out in her head, and she’s not going to stop until the person who put that bullet through Granny is no longer on this Earth and his soul shredded, so the only place he can settle is in the depths of hell.”

I shake my head. “You get her ass to the Devils’ Clubhouse. Get your dad or Mitchell to bring her, but her ass better be sitting at that table.”

“I’m going with you, and I’ll text Mitchell. He’s probably the only person that can convince her to take a step back for a few. That’s why I’m here and not him. I’m just as gung-ho as she is.”

“Let’s roll. I don’t need a reenactment of what happened in that hospital after you piss me off.” He laughs as if I’m joking, but he has no clue how close I am to snapping. The only one who can calm my rampant determination to go rogue and wipe Georgia of any threats has her determination for revenge.
