Sweet Deception by Ellie Jean (12)

Verbal diarrhea takes over whenever I drink alcohol. It isn’t a problem when I’m out infrequently having a girly time. My friends and I just laugh at how absurd I become when I’ve been drinking, waving all inhibitions to the wind. Tonight, though, riding in Alex’s sporty, sexy car and all alone with him, my mouth’s filter shuts down, allowing embarrassing sentences to fall out from my lips.

“Alex, I hope your plans weren’t interrupted because of me. I’m sure your date wasn’t too happy with you having to take off. I was fine to go home in a cab with Jules and Kameron. It’s been one of the best days of my career. Signing a prestigious client’s wedding, I can’t tell you who it is, of course, because that would be breaking the confidentiality agreement we signed, but mark my words, it is going to be big and J&I Events is finally going to be a household name. The family is a respected, wealthy member of society and it’s what we need to have our name known throughout the elite in Australia and overseas one day. What a coincidence seeing you at The Italiano. Do you go there often? It’s one of Jules’s favorite Italian places to eat. This car is spectacular and the leather seats are so sexy, Alex. A car like this is out of my league. It looks expensive. I bet this material would be cool against my skin if I had no clothes on, but then again it would be on fire from you touching me anyway. Gosh, am I rambling? Fuck, what did I just say?”

Taking a breath, slapping my hand over my mouth, Alex is grinning at me. I try to sink into the seats and disappear. Alcohol and I don’t mix. Words that are only the truth usually are verbalized when I consume alcohol and there are things I can’t tell Alex.

I’ll worry about that later…he’s taking me home now…

“Sweetness, you look so sexy in that skirt, jacket, and heels at this very moment. I’m going to take you somewhere special before I take you home.” Grabbing my hand, eyes of piercing vibrant blue spear mine, as he continues to drive. He’s so comfortable and genuine.

“I would love you to, Alex.” Sitting in silence is a good course of action for me. Having two glasses of Moet and two Raspberry Cosmos has my head relaxed and free from worry. This Isla is one I would love to possess constantly, not the stressed, depressed, and worried Isla living within me for years.

“Alex, the purple roses you sent were gorgeous. The perfume filling my apartment is extraordinary. Just like you. Thank you for spoiling me.”

“They are nothing compared to your beguiling beauty and your intimate singular self. From the first moment I laid eyes on you, I’ve been enchanted by you.”

Continuing to study Alex’s handsome features as he expertly drives us around, I realize we are heading past my apartment, heading up to exclusive Ben Buckler Point. Only the rich and famous need to venture up here and, of course, unless you are star spotters or the paparazzi.

My shaky voice betrays me. “What are we doing up here, Alex?” Anyone snapping a picture of me with Alex could be disastrous for my life and his. Noticing my immediate nervousness, Alex rubs his thumb over my hand and drives into an apartment car park, away from any prying eyes. Dubious of how he is going to pull this off and get out of someone’s underground car park without security being notified, he stops the car engine as if he is parking the car.

Panicking, I whisper, so no one hears us, which is ridiculous.

“Alex, security will be upon us if we stay.”

Leaning into me, Alex grasps my face and levers it so his lips cover mine. A moan involuntarily escapes my mouth.

“We’re here,” is gently spoken. Fuck, where are we? Are we somewhere notable? Moving around the vehicle, before I can move, the door is whisked open and his outstretched arm is there for my taking. Words escape me as he leads me to the elevator. Riding upwards before it pings takes seconds. What the hell is going on? Does he know a celebrity who lives here?

Closing my eyes momentarily allows me a millisecond to gather my scattered brain so I can clearly think. It’s not working. Too much alcohol.

His secure hand clutches mine, hauling me along closer to him. Stopping at a door, he places a key from his car tag into the lock and unlocks it. Fuck…fuck…

I’m swearing a lot, but fuck…

Holy hell, Isla is adorable when she’s a little drunk. Bringing Isla to my home is the most unprecedented thing I could ever think of. Five years ago, my life changed undeniably because of my inexperience and youth. Revealing my personal apartment to anyone besides my family and my closest of friends is unheard of now. Even my relatives call me if they want to bring a person here that I haven’t met before, which is rare. My house is my own sanctuary, away from problems, business, unwanted attention, and psychos who pose a risk to my ordered existence. My family understands this, and now I need Isla to understand how monumental this decision is for me.

Capturing her in my arms as we walk through the door, I murmur, “Welcome to my home, Isla,” her eyes snap upward. Nervousness is evident as her body trembles and her knees start to give way. Maybe this wasn’t such a great idea?

Not allowing her to overthink, I sweep her legs out from beneath her, carrying her to the living room, settling her gently on my teal colored leather lounge.

“Look at me, Isla. What are you thinking?” My voice, husky with need, taking in her swiveling head as she tries to comprehend, no doubt, her surroundings.

“Umm, what… I’m not sure I should be here.” Her senses taking in everything around her. “Yo…your place is so amazing. The crispness of the white walls, the polished concrete floors, and the amount of glass fusing the outside to the inside is magnificent. It’s just so…umm wow!” Looking above her, she notices the large and extended skylight showcasing the skyline at sunset, with wafts of scattered cotton wool type clouds. “Oh… My… God, Alex, I can only imagine what the night sky would look like from in here. The features of the maple-toned woodwork and the strip lighting over the kitchen area there is just so simple but elegant. The rooms are so large, I think my whole apartment would fit into these two spaces. I’m in total awe of your home.”

Relief that Isla is not too overwhelmed, I take her jacket off and knead her shoulders, “Designing the inside here took me months, but I think the wood finishes and the openness of the rooms convey what I wanted to achieve. A contemporary yet classic design with uninterrupted views of the stunning natural beachside, flowing from one room to another. The designer said that if I keep everything white, I can change and update the furnishings whenever I want a change. I’m unsure how often that would be, but it sounded like a good idea at the time. Would you like a drink?”

Sitting straighter, facing the ocean, her eyes cast over the one-hundred-and-eighty-degree expanse. “Water, please.”

Leaving her alone for two minutes will hopefully calm her enough so I can speak to her without fear of her wondering if she has done the wrong thing in coming here. Situating the water carefully on the side table, I sit next to her. She appears so small on this lounge as she requires comfort and relaxation. With care, I take her hands in mine, speaking in a soothing voice, I confide in her.

“Isla, you’re here in my home cause that’s where I want you to be. I’ve never done this before. No one comes here. Only family and close friends. This is my own concealed hideaway, my safe haven, my home.” My eyes search hers, burning with ferocity and lust.

“I need you to understand. I want you in every aspect of my life. I don’t give a fuck what your secrets are. This is me, only for you.” Infiltrating her is my confession, revealing the enormity of my choice to bring her here. Does she believe me or does she think I’ve tricked her to get into her adorable panties?

That’s next on the list…

Standing up and walking around, kneeling in front of her, I expose myself completely. I don’t understand for a second what I’m doing. This is foreign territory. I’m going at this blind. Her gaze rigidly staying on my face, I weave my fingers behind her neck drawing her into me. Kissing her with everything I have to give, I will her to believe me. Brushing my lips over her sensitive spot below her ear lobe, on her neck, steals my breath away. She’s affected. I can tell by the way her eyes shine, pupils dilating, as she dares to glance up at me. Locking mine on hers, I brush touch her cheek.

“Tell me you feel it, too, Sweetness? That you want this as much as I do.”

Licking her lips, her breath stalls.

“Holy hell, Alex. You are what my dreams are full of. You make me…” whispering, “I feel like I can take on any evil in the world with you by my side.”

Relocating to her side, I guide my fingers over her pale skin. “You are important to me. I’ve got you.”

Isla craves protection. I’m going to be that person who does that for her…now…and for as long as we need.

“I just want you, Alex. Plain and simple.”

Urgently, Isla lunges at me, catching me off guard. Placing her hands on my shoulders, pushing me backward so I end up lying flat on my back with her nestled securely astride me, her warmth cupping my cock while she nibbles my ear, gliding her luscious lips over my chin next. Her body surrounding me, igniting an inferno inside me.

“I want you more than the sun and water, hell, more than my favorite gooey chocolate brownie. Look after me, please,” she sincerely begs in a confident, calm voice while she runs her delicate hands over the back of my neck, pulling me toward her.

With clarity, her voice makes her wishes crystal clear. “Take me to your room.”

My eyes widen at the five words that come out of her mouth. “Is that what you really want, Sweetness?”

“Hell, Alex.” She impatiently fires at me, whilst smirking. “Take me and make me yours.” Well, well, my little vixen is back and demanding to be taken. There’s no way I will be disappointing her. Before she changes her mind, I whip off my coat, scooping her up, charging for my bedroom.
