chapter Nineteen

Moving Too Fast

Lorenzo

After a few hours in the pool we piled into Matt’s truck to take Lucie for ice cream. She was so excited. I could tell she thought she was cool or something being with us.

Maria had come over to visit my mom and brought Victoria and Angie more clothes to wear. It had gotten much cooler out, so it worked out great. We all had fun in the pool, especially us guys. Once we saw how crazy the girls got with their hair and makeup, we made sure they took full dives into the pool.

I regretted throwing Victoria in right after I’d done it. Not only did she pay me back, but I realized her straight hair curl up from the touch of the water. Not that her curly hair wasn’t beautiful, it’s just the straight hair gives her a look I can’t explain. It’s strange how the straight hair gives her a more exotic look.

As we stood in the ice cream shop, I watched Victoria and Angie as they talked to Lucie. Victoria had washed her hair so now her long curls were damp and hanging down her back and in her face. She changed into a pink leather jacket with a fitted white and pink t-shirt.

The white jeans she had on hugged her curves like ink to paper and the pink leather stiletto heeled boots made her look like a movie star. She’s gorgeous.

Angie had on a similar outfit, in black and white, but she looked like a sidekick next to Victoria. Which said a lot because, Angie did look very nice. If I wasn’t in love with her cousin, she may have turned my head for a moment.

Lucie is always adorable. She tried to mimic Victoria with her blue jeans, sneakers and a little pink jacket. I had to laugh to myself as I watched her.

Chris and Matt both lived close to my house, so they had gone home to change as well. I think Martina retrieved her jeans and t-shirt from her car and Matt had given her his varsity jacket.

I learned the two of them were pretty serious. They spent the whole time in the ice cream shop at a table by themselves, laughing and locked to each other. I let my girls order whatever they wanted and paid for it.

Lucie had to have an ice cream sundae. Victoria ordered a vanilla cone dipped in caramel, which I found ironic. It was like watching her lick her own skin. The thought alone made me get the same thing.

Chris and Angie both had milkshakes. He insisted on paying for hers. Victoria had a smile on her face as she elbowed me in the ribs, when she saw him fussing over Angie. I wasn’t surprised. Chris is a sucker for a pretty face.

We spent about an hour in the ice cream shop, before I decided it was time to take Lucie home. She could have her pajamas on to watch movies and my mom wouldn’t give me a hard time about having her out late.

Matt and Martina decided to go do their own thing when we got back to the house. Chris and Angie headed for the movie theater, while Victoria came with me. I had to carry Lucie to her room. She was knocked out by the time Matt pulled off from the ice cream shop.

“Let me put on her pajamas,” Victoria said as I retrieved Lucie’s little sleep pants and shirt. “She’s a big girl now, she’s becoming a little lady, it might embarrass her.”

I smirked. I understood where Victoria was coming from. It warmed my heart. I took the hint and waited in the hall. It took her a few minutes, but she had Lucie in her PJs and under the covers sound asleep.

“Lorenzo,” she whispered from the door.

I followed her back into the room to cut the light. Victoria kissed Lucie’s forehead and walked to the door where I stood as I flipped the switch. We headed for the theater moving at an extra slow pace.

“You’re great with my sister. Thanks.”

“I like her. She makes me feel like I’m with Toni.” I could see the longing for her little brother written on her face.

“Maybe we can take the two of them out sometime.”

“I’d like that,” Victoria smiled up at me.

“Wish I would’ve thought of it earlier. I would’ve gone to get him.”

Victoria stopped walking, pulling my arms around her. “It’s the thought that counts. Thank you.” She reached up and kissed me.

“We don’t have to watch a movie if you don’t want to,” I offered as I rubbed her back.

“I won’t be watching it,” she giggled.

I grabbed her hand and picked up the pace to the theater. When we walked in we caught Chris kissing Angie. Victoria laughed so hard, she leaned onto the wall, trying to catch her breath.

Victoria’s laugh was so contagious, it made me laugh. Angie looked completely embarrassed, which caused me to laugh harder. Chris grinned, trying not to laugh with us.

“Oh, my gosh, did you see her face?” Victoria gasped for air. “She almost jumped out of her skin.”

“Shut up, Vic,” Angie scolded.

“Oh, my God, Ang. I love you, but that was funny. I’m sorry.” Victoria still laughed hysterically. “Wait, wait, Lo, did you see Chris? He turned around like it was your dad or somebody coming in. He looked like he was going to run.”

I roared with laughter because that’s exactly what the two of them looked like. “Victoria, please stop, my ribs hurt,” I gasped out, trying to breathe.

“Okay, okay,” she said, calming down. “I’ll be good.”

Victoria bit her lip, trying to hold in her laughter. She staggered over to one of the large chairs, flopping down into it. I watched as she pulled off her jacket.

I fought to control my laughter, while taking off my jacket as well. I sat in the chair next to Victoria, after retrieving the remote to start the movie. I wasn’t about to sit here for two hours, with Victoria in the chair next to me. I motioned with my index finger for her to come to me.

She reached down to unzip her boots and take them off, before climbing onto my lap. I held her to me and slouched down in the oversized chair. I started the movie, as we got comfortable. She was still shaking with laughter. I tried not to start again.

“Hey, Angie,” Victoria called to the row behind us.

“What, Victoria?”

“You still love me?”

“No, you cow.”

Aw, I guess I should call Aunt Joann and tell her you’re not staying the night with me after all. She should come get you now.”

“Shut up, Victoria. You’re not funny,” Angie hissed. “Lo, why don’t you do something to keep her quiet?”

I took Angie’s advice. Before Victoria could tease Angie anymore, I had her full attention. Instead of gasping from laughter, I had her gasping and moaning in pleasure.

The movie watched the four of us. Victoria had my shirt unbuttoned, as she rubbed at my chest and my back. I wanted to kick the other two out, which made me glad they were there.

Maybe Angie and Chris being there is what made Victoria comfortable with being so close to me, or maybe it was just the fact that she had on more clothes. I ruled out the clothes thought when she grabbed my hand, placing it under her shirt. I was shocked, but didn’t reject her. I knew we could push things a little, with our company in the room, we wouldn’t go too far.

I pulled down the cup of her bra, telling myself she’d be seventeen very soon. Seventeen to twenty sounded a hell of a lot better in my head. I added to that the fact she would be my wife in the not too distant future.

Palming her full breast in my hand, caused a moan to pull from my throat. Her breasts are so full, I deepened the kiss, biting her lip and pinching her hard nipple. Victoria grinds her ass into my lap, rocking slowly.

I grow hard beneath her. I flick her nipple harder, moving to suck on her neck. It was when Victoria’s body shook on top of mine that I realized I’d pushed too much.

I pulled my hands from her body and removed my lips from her neck. Victoria’s moans still filled in my ears, as tremors rocked her body. I groaned at how responsive her body was to mine.

I wanted to move her to the other chair, but each time I tried to touch her, she shook harder. I was having a hard time thinking straight. The look on her was so sexy. I wanted to dip my fingers in her pant to find a taste of her first orgasm.

When Victoria finally gained control of her body, she jumped up from my lap with an embarrassed look on her face. I couldn’t move, I need to collect myself. Before I could stop her, she ran from the room. I forced myself to go after her. I made it into the hall in time to see her duck into my room.

I couldn’t imagine what was going on in her head. When I got in my room it was still dark. Just the light from under the bathroom door, lit the room. I could hear the water running. I went over and tapped on the door.

“Victoria, are you okay?” I whispered.

“No, what was that?” she hissed.

“Baby, if you come out here, I can explain it to you. You’ve had health class, right?”

“Oh, Lorenzo, please just leave. I’ll come back when I’m finished.”

I chuckled on my side of the door. Venny had kept her from so much. I had so much I would teach her.

“Baby, it’s nothing to be embarrassed about. I’m flattered.”

“Shut up, Lorenzo, this isn’t about you.”

The water shut off. “Victoria, please open the door.”

“Just wait, I can’t right now.” Her breathing was heavy through the door. I could hear her fumbling around inside the bathroom.

“What are you doing?”

“Mind your business.”

“Okay, fine.”

I waited for her to open the door. When she did, she looked at the floor, holding something pink, balled up in her hand. When I realized what it was, I tried to fight back a smile. I reached into the bathroom to grab for her, but she moved away. Backing up against the bathroom counter.

“Please don’t touch me,” she murmured.

“Are you okay?”

“Yes, I didn’t know that could happen like that.”

“Yes, sweetheart, it can. I’m sorry, I should’ve known better. I wasn’t thinking.”

She wouldn’t budge from the bathroom, so I stepped inside. I stood in front of her, not wanting to touch her as she asked. Victoria quickly shoved her pink secret in her pocket. I tried with everything I had not to snicker, but I couldn’t do it. She looked at me with a killer glare.

“You think this is funny?”

“No, I’m sorry, that’s not what I’m laughing at.”

“Then what’s so funny? And why don’t you button up your shirt?” She fussed.

“Come here, please,” I pleaded, as I started to button my shirt.

She thought about it for a minute, then stepped closer to me. I slowly placed my hands on her hips. I brushed the hair from her ear with my face and whispered.

“I’m laughing because you have something I want.” I told her, reaching into her pocket, snatching out what I wanted. I placed the pink fabric in my back pocket.

“What are you doing, Lorenzo? Give that back.”

“No.” I said, as I locked my fingers in the belt loops of her jeans and pressed my thumbs to her stomach. “Let me keep them. Something special for me,” I whispered.

“Please, don’t, I…why would you want to?”

“You wouldn’t understand, just forget about them. Their mines now, like you,” I whispered to her.

I bent over to kiss her. She was hesitant, but I took care not to push her buttons. My body was still really aware of hers. So I didn’t let the kiss linger. I pulled away, lifting her chin to look in her eyes.

“Are you okay now?” I asked. “Do you want to go home?”

“I’m okay, but I don’t think we should do that again. Lorenzo, can I ask you something?”

“Yes, baby.”

“Will that be what it’s like when we do…?”

I grinned at her. I put my lips to her ear. “No, Victoria, it will be even better,” I whispered.

She looked up at me, surprised. “Really?”

“Yes, I promise.”

“Okay, then I’m glad we’re going to wait. That was…nice, but I want it to be special when we do. Not like that,” she said softly.

“It will be very special. I’m sorry I didn’t realize what was happening. I could’ve stopped before it got that far.”

“It’s not your fault, I felt it happening. I should’ve stopped. Can I ask you something else?”

“Sure.”

“Do you think they noticed?”

“No, trust me. They weren’t paying us any attention.”

“I’m ready to go, if you don’t mind.”

Angie was a little mad that Victoria wanted to leave, but Victoria is a fast thinker. She told Angie they’d better go home to get up for Matt’s party. Angie would have to get up earlier than Victoria did to go home and set up. Angie remembered the party and agreed Victoria had a point. Chris promised Angie he would see her at the party, killing her protest.

Victoria was quiet on the way to her house. Angie gabbed the whole time about Chris, while thanking us for setting them up. I did nothing.

Victoria was the one putting in the texts that set them up. When we got to Victoria’s, I walked them to the door. Angie ran inside, but Victoria stood at the door to talk to me.

“Listen Lorenzo, it seems like we do everything super fast. I do love you, but there are some things I’m not in a rush to do.

“Experiencing… that tonight showed me how fast I was moving and I think maybe we should relax on the physical stuff. I’m much more attracted to you then I realized. You always have control of yourself and I want to do the same. I feel like I might be sending you mixed messages and that’s not what I mean to do.”

“Victoria, I don’t mind slowing down if that’s what you want. I never planned to take it any further than I know you can handle. I know you’re not ready for that. I promise to think more clearly. What happened shouldn’t make you ashamed, and the fact that it did means we’re moving too fast. We’ll move at your pace,” I assured her.

“Good night, Lorenzo. I love you.”

I kissed her forehead. “Good night, Beautiful. I love you, too.”
