Chapter Eighteen
A shudder worked through Lila’s body as Charlie gently laid her back against his bed. He took a step back and stared down at her, like he couldn’t believe this was his reality, and that look in his eyes, so full of want and care for her, made her eager to show him how deeply he’d seeped into her heart, burrowing in her soul.
She lifted up and reached for his belt buckle, slowly unbuckling it, then unbuttoning his jeans.
“Lila . . .”
She pressed a finger to her lips. “Shhh.” And then she pushed his jeans and boxers to the ground, and his length, long and hard and eager, stood out before her. She gripped his thick shaft and slowly stroked, her eyes on his, before she licked her lips and then wrapped her mouth around him. A hiss rushed out of his mouth and reflexively he pumped his hips once, needing to be deeper, and she was happy to oblige. Gripping him harder, she licked down the length of him, tasting his saltiness, and then sucking the end, before doing it again, toying with him.
“Jesus Christ,” he said, and she peeked up at him to find his face twisted in pleasure, the look so unbelievably hot that it gave Lila the courage to play. Reaching down she stroked his balls, and then sucked him in deeper, tasting every inch of him, and loving every second of it. She was pleasuring him, and yet she herself was wet, so close to coming that she could barely contain herself.
Charlie’s hand threaded into her hair and he gripped her head, guiding her as she took him in again and again, She moaned around him, so absorbed in it that she thought she might lose herself right then, when he pulled out and lifted her shirt over her head, dropping it to the floor.
“Not yet.” He helped her stand, pushed her shorts down, and slowly stroked her, before sliding a finger inside her. “God, you’re so wet. Perfect.” He gently laid her back against his bed and started for her. “I want you so badly it’s killing me right now, but if this is too much, too fast . . . If you want me to stop—”
“If you stop now, I’ll never speak to you again.”
A chuckle broke from his lips, and she reached out to him, her hand on his cheek, and though she was so turned on, so ready, she couldn’t stop the surge of emotions spiraling through her. Because this wasn’t just attraction and lust. This was Charlie and he was everything to her, and finally, after all this time, he was hers. The realization was too much.
“I need you to touch me,” she said, the words barely above a moan.
“Like this?” He pressed a kiss to her ankle, then slowly trailed his tongue up her calf. “Or this.” Another kiss, this one inside her thigh, and Lila’s eyes closed as she writhed under his touch. “Or this.”
Hot breath danced across her hip, then his mouth covered her mound, and a moan slipped from her lips, so eager she was close to begging. His tongue went to work, licking and stroking, and she gripped his shoulders, desperate now. “Please . . .”
Charlie licked his lips as he pulled back, his eyes full of wickedness and want, and then he pulled open the nightstand drawer and took out a condom. “Let’s see if Double Ecstasy does what it claims.”
Lila scanned the condom wrapper and laughed. “You didn’t.”
“Hell yeah, I did.”
He rolled it on, and all humor fell from Lila’s face as she drank him in. Each taut muscle. The small line of light hair that trailed from his belly button. The sharp V of his pelvic muscle. God, he was unbelievably sexy.
Climbing over her now, he lowered himself until his body pressed against hers, and then that delicious mouth of his went to her neck, her collarbone, her breasts. He sucked on one of her nipples, then bit down lightly, and that was enough.
“Charlie . . . God . . . please.”
Without another word, he drove inside her hard, nothing gentle about it, and she held onto him as he watched her. Then, when he knew he’d found her sweet spot, he sped up, faster, harder, so damn deep, and then she burst all around him, vibrating in spasms. And then he covered her mouth with his, her taste still on his lips as he groaned, and released inside her. His breathing was heavy as he laid down beside her, their bodies intertwined.
“That was . . .” He released another breath, and Lila could feel his heart pounding against his chest.
“Amazing.”
He kissed her again. “I’m done, you know that, right? It’s only you for me.”
Lila nuzzled against him. “Promise?”
“If you’ll let me, I’ll give you the world. Everything I have and everything I am. It’s yours.”
Lila’s heart became light, the words right there, three words to convey what he meant to her, but then she heard his breathing slow, his body relaxing, and she peered up to find his eyes closed.
“I love you,” she whispered. And though she knew he didn’t hear her, she fell asleep with a smile on her face.
