“So this is my place,” Nora said as she led me into her apartment later that evening. “It’s not much, but it’s cozy. It serves my needs.”
I cut her a sidelong glance. I wanted to serve her needs. I was thinking I could serve them better than her apartment could, but I didn’t say anything. Instead, I walked in and looked around.
It was a one-bedroom apartment, minimally decorated and furnished only with what was necessary. I figured it was cozy enough. It was small. I felt claustrophobic in there, but I didn’t say anything.
“It’s…modest,” I said, pausing to find the right word.
“Yeah, I guess Ryan never really made that much money,” she said.
“You don’t have to worry about that anymore,” I told her. “You’ve got me now.”
I approached her, closing the distance between us in her kitchen. She instinctively backed away, running into the counter before stopping. I ran a finger along her jaw to her chin and lifted her face to mine like I was going to kiss her. Then I backed up, leaving her to suck her breath in through her teeth in disappointed anticipation.
“Um, you want a beer?” she asked. “I should have some,” she said slowly, opening the fridge door.
“Whatever you have is fine,” I said, making my way to the living room.
“That motherfucker,” she said behind me.
“Let me guess. He took the beer.”
She stood up from the fridge and looked at me. “I’m sorry. Water?”
“With ice please,” I requested.
“Now, I do have ice,” she said, grabbing a glass down from one of the cabinets above the sink. She filled it with ice and then poured some water from the tap before bringing the glass to me. I really didn’t need anything to drink. I was only accepting the water because she seemed pretty intent on offering it to me.
“Thanks,” I said. “Can we sit?” I motioned to the couch.
“Yeah, sure,” she said, moving around the other end of the couch and taking a seat.
Nora had mellowed out tremendously since we’d left the clubhouse on the back of my motorcycle. I didn’t even bother asking her if she’d ridden before when I put her on the back of my bike. She climbed on with confidence, so I figured she had. She wrapped her arms around my waist, but not the same way some of the club girls did. She didn’t grip me and hold on for dear life. She merely grabbed me and kept herself balanced.
She didn’t even freak out about how awesome it was when we got to the apartment and she got off the bike. She barely mentioned the bike, other than to say she enjoyed the ride.
“I need to talk to you about a few things,” I told her as I joined her on the couch.
She took a small sip of water and looked at her glass like she’d expected something else instead. She set it down on a coaster on her coffee table. For such a small, sparsely decorated and furnished apartment, the furniture was rather nice. I could see some of why Ryan was short on cash. Where he did spend money, he didn’t skimp.
“What do you need to tell me?” she asked, and I saw why her behavior was suddenly so different. She looked like she was afraid of me. She cowered at the other end of the couch, as if my words alone would have been enough to hurt her.
I couldn’t blame her. It was all new to her. It was refreshing to see that she had dropped the tough act she’d been putting on at the clubhouse. She seemed a bit more compliant now. It was a shame that it took scaring her to get her to that point, but whatever worked, I guessed.
“I need to explain a few things to you about our arrangement,” I started.
She let out a sigh of relief and smiled. Her whole body seemed to suddenly relax, as if she’d been wondering about how things were supposed to work this whole time. The Nora I had seen in my office would have said something. Scared Nora was maybe a little too quiet, but I figured she would eventually get a little more comfortable and even it out some.
“I know you’re not a club girl, so I don’t expect you to already know the rules. You don’t get passed around from guy to guy. You don’t hang around the clubhouse watching the other girls interact with us. I’ll be honest with you. That’s one of the reasons I decided to bring you in as my woman,” I explained, hoping to calm her nerves a little with my confession.
She nodded. “I’m following you so far,” she said.
“First, you’re mine and mine alone. There will be no other guys as long as we’re together. No talking to anyone else, no flirting with anyone else. I want your complete loyalty.”
“That’s fine. Ryan was the same way.”
“Well, hopefully you’ll feel like you’re getting more out of this deal than you did with him,” I assured her. “Next, I expect you to be by my side at the clubhouse and at Reapers functions and events.”
She nodded. “Easy enough.”
“And lastly, I expect you to support the family business,” I explained to her.
“So, basically, you want me to be arm candy,” she said.
“Well, it’s more than that,” I said. I took a sip of my water and placed my cup on the table next to hers.
“Sex and all that, too, I’m sure. Like you said, you want me to be with you and only you. I get it,” she explained, almost like she was trying to prevent me from adding something she didn’t want to hear.
“Still, it’s more than that. When I say family business, I mean just that – a family business.”
She furrowed her brow and looked at me like she didn’t quite understand what I was trying to tell her. She didn’t say anything.
I sighed. “Okay, look. Our actual president, Alan Stevens, my father, is in prison right now,” I started, working my way into an explanation.
“For what?” she asked.
“Business. It’s not important. It’s a long story,” I told her, dismissing it so we could move on. “The point is I’m the next in line, but the only way I’m going to be able to get the guys to rally around me as their president is if I provide the MC with an heir, the same as Alan did with me.”
“Wait, what?” she asked. Her whole demeanor changed. I started to see the girl from the clubhouse coming back out of her.
She got up from the couch and stepped back from me. She furrowed her brow again and tilted her head. She started to say something but stopped. Her mouth opened and closed as she did it several times.
“Are you telling me you want me to give you a child?” she asked.
“Yes. That is what I’m saying,” I answered her. “But you won’t be giving just me a child. You’ll be giving the Reapers a child. And not simply any child. A boy who will eventually take over behind me as president. It’s the only way to keep the MC together, Nora. I must provide an heir to the presidency.”
She laughed. It was a deep, threatening sound, the kind of laugh that said I had fucked up big time with her. She nodded and paced her living room floor.
“This morning, I was my own woman, mostly independent except for occasionally having to deal with Ryan, that son of a bitch,” she said. “And now you expect me to lay down for you and pop out a baby? I barely know you. You’re almost a complete stranger.”
“I know it’s a lot to ask,” I said, “but that’s part of why I asked for you from Ryan for the money he needed.”
“So it had nothing to do with helping out Ryan. You saw me as an opportunity to fulfill your legacy and provide the MC with an heir, as you put it.” She nodded. “Right now I don’t know which one of you is worse – you or Ryan.”
“Judging by this apartment, I’d say Ryan,” I said, laughing.
“You asshole,” she said, lunging at me all of a sudden. She came at me with her hands raised, her nails out like she was aiming to scratch up my face.
I caught her wrists even as her thin body came flying at me. She tried to bear down on me, pressing all of her weight against me. I couldn’t help but laugh as I pushed her back, getting off the couch.
“What exactly do you think you’re going to do?” I asked her.
“I’m going to fuck you up,” she snarled. She leaned her face toward me like she was going to bite me. “You can’t expect me to just pop out babies like some farm animal,” she protested.
“You’ll do whatever I fucking tell you to,” I told her. “You belong to me the same as you belonged to Ryan before.”
“I’m not a possession that you can play around with and use any way you want.” She pushed against me and jerked her arms, trying to get away. She tried to bite my arms that were holding her wrists back.
“But that’s exactly what you are. I’ve paid for you, and I can use you how I please,” I told her, pushing her back to one of the walls in her living room. I pinned her to the wall by her wrists.
She panted through clenched teeth. Her chest heaved behind her shirt. I listened to her breathing, watched her body move beneath her clothes as she squirmed to try to get away from me. I felt my desire for her between my legs as she resisted me.
“Let go of me,” she growled, pulling on her arms. I could feel the frustration growing in her body as the sense of powerlessness tried to overtake her.
I inched closer to her the more she tried to fight me off. I was ready to claim my prize. I had already paid for her. She was mine now. I wanted to take her while she was at her most vulnerable and build her back up through the pleasure I could give her.
“Please,” she begged, trading her growl for a whine. “Please let go of me, Mark.”
I didn’t want to get too close. I didn’t want her deciding to try to bite me, but I leaned a little closer in and whispered in her ear, “I’m not going to let go of you. You belong to me. You are going to give me a baby boy. I don’t care how many tries it takes.”
Tears started to stream down her face. “No,” she sobbed. “Please don’t make me.”
“You already gave yourself up to this life when you agreed to let Ryan keep you,” I added in her ear.
Her body shook with her sobs. I let myself finally rest against her, my erection pressing against her through my jeans. Her shaking body made me even harder. She buried her sobbing face into my shoulder and cried there for a moment.
I had broken her down, exactly as I had planned. She was ready for me now, whether she knew it or not. She was ready for me to please her and show her what her body was capable of.
I kept a firm grip on her wrists, pressing her hard against the wall. She wasn’t going anywhere unless I said it was okay.
She was mine. Completely mine.
