Untangle Me (Love at Last Book 1) by Chelle Bliss (9)

Sophia

Never Say Never

The chirping of my phone woke me from a dream.

Kayden: I dreamed of you last night… Shit, did I wake you?

Me: Yeah, but I don’t mind. You’re worth the lack of sleep.

I rubbed my eyes and tried to focus on the screen. My eyes were so blurry without my contacts, and the screen was blinding.

Me: Tell me about this dream.

Kayden: It was fucking fantastic. It was such a tease, though. I wish I didn’t wake up. You were face down, ass up, and I was pounding you, balls deep.

My mouth suddenly felt dry. His words elicited visuals that caused all moisture in my body to pool elsewhere.

Me: Like doggy style?

Kayden: Not really. Your face and chest are on the bed with your ass sticking up in the air, back bent. I would be standing, holding your waist, with my knees bent. It’s an entirely different angle compared to doggy style.

I was so fucking clueless when it came to sexual positions. I’d always been the queen of missionary. I switched to my browser, looking it up, but nothing really explained it to my satisfaction.

Me: Um, I may have to look that one up.

Kayden: It’s so fucking sexy and makes for a great view for me. I love that about you, so innocent and inexperienced.

I was sure it was a novelty to him, but my inexperience could become boring over time. I chewed on my lip, thinking it could happen one day.

Me: Ugh, maybe a little too inexperienced for you.

Kayden: Never. I can mold you into anything I want. It’s perfect.

Me: If you say so.

Kayden: The dream will give me something to think about all day. Gives me chills just thinking of doing that with you. Next time I see you…your face will be buried in the sheets.

Oh, hell!

My lovers had been so bland in their lovemaking. I always wanted more…hair-pulling, ass-smacking, rough sex filled with passion. I had always gone for the safe, boring lover who preferred missionary position in a bed instead of fucking in a car. Kayden filled a void that I had yearned for.

We messaged all day, naughty tidbits that we wanted to do to each other. I ached for him. I couldn’t wait for him to finish work, so we could Skype. I wanted to see him and maybe give him a peep show. Since he had a dream about me, I’d give him the images to match. I wanted to drive the man insane with lust for me. He might’ve thought I was innocent, but I felt particularly naughty when it came to Kayden.

Suzy and I spent the day together. We cleaned while we danced around the house—anything to help the time pass. I told her all about Kayden and about our time together in New Orleans. She and I were very different, but our friendship worked somehow. She was younger and always filled with questions about love, relationships, and sex. We shared a love of reading, although her tastes were a bit tamer than mine.

She wanted to know everything about our relationship. She was so blunt with her questions, but I never minded someone who spoke from the heart with pure curiosity.

“Did he use a condom?” she asked.

“No, we’ve been tested, and I’m on the pill,” I said, chomping on a cookie.

“I don’t know if I could do it. I’d be too scared.”

“I’ve never been pregnant, even when I was trying. I don’t think I have to worry about it. I take the pill out of precaution, not out of necessity.”

“Did you really have sex in a car?” she asked, noodles hanging from her mouth.

“Yes, I kind of got lost in the moment. I’ve never had sex in public before. Thank God it was dark.”

“I can’t wait to meet him, Sophia. He’s the first man I’ve heard you gush about in a long time.”

My phone chirped, and I looked at the screen, hoping it was Kayden.

Kayden: I’m home and logged on, ready?

I excused myself for a bit and headed to my room. I grabbed my iPad off the nightstand and plopped on the bed. I tapped on his picture to connect, and he accepted after one ring.

“Hey, baby,” he said, lying on his bed shirtless.

“You’re so sexy.” I moved my face closer to get a better look.

“Checking me out?”

“No, I just don’t have my contacts in,” I said, laughing and squinting at the screen.

“Liar,” he said.

“I have something to show you.”

Suzy tapped on the door. “May I come in?” Suzy asked timidly.

“Sure, Suzy,” I replied quickly and with a snicker.

She opened the door and walked to the foot of my bed. My iPad faced away from her, pointed directly at me. She didn’t know we were video chatting. She started talking about a guy she met through an online dating service. He wanted her to come to his apartment but told her he had no furniture except an air mattress. She wanted my opinion on whether she should meet him or not.

“Absolutely not. Don’t even think about going there. You don’t know him, and I don’t like the idea that he doesn’t even have furniture. He could kill you and be gone, without a trace, in sixty seconds,” I told her. What kind of creep would tell a girl he met online to meet him at his apartment…without any furniture?

“She’s right. Don’t,” Kayden stated firmly.

Suzy looked around the room. “Kayden?” she asked.

I looked down at the iPad and smiled at him. She started laughing.

“I certainly hope it wouldn’t be anyone else,” he said.

She moved around the bed and flopped down next to me. They began talking about the stranger online. She pointed out to us that we were strangers who met online. In a way, she had a point, but we had a commonality. I had placed calls about Kayden and felt safe after my brother said I had his blessing. We both told her that she needed to be careful about who she met and always to make sure it was in public. She was such a trusting and naïve person with a kind heart, always thinking the best of people. She wouldn’t know a bad person or an unsafe situation until it was too late. I had to look out for her and guide her.

Suzy stayed only a few minutes, and Kayden and I started right where we left off before Suzy interrupted.

“What were you going to show me, baby doll?” Kayden asked while he stretched, watching in curiosity.

“Nothing important,” I replied back even though it was a complete and utter lie.

“Can you wait a second? I have to take this call.”

“Sure, go ahead, take your time.”

While waiting for Kayden, I removed my bra and T-shirt. I thought I’d give him a surprise. I could hear muffled speech in the background. I heard his door close, and his footsteps along his bedroom floor before his face appeared. His eyes grew in size, and a smile crept across his face.

“Damn. I fucking love your tits. I want to touch them,” Kayden said, moving closer to his screen.

“They’ve missed your touch, Kayden. They ache for you,” I said as I swept my fingertips across them.

“Sophia, you’re making me crazy,” he said.

“Good, I want you to remember what’s waiting for you. I don’t want you to see any other women or even think of them,” I replied to him, continuing to touch my breasts in full view of him. “Want to see more?”

“I don’t think my heart could take it. I don’t think of any other women. You are the only person in my mind—all day, every day,” Kayden said with a very serious look on his face.

“Enough of this for now—you’ll be touching them soon enough, handsome,” I said as I started to lift my top over my head, covering my breasts. It gave him one last glimpse as I slowly put my shirt back into place.

“You’re driving me crazy. I better book my ticket before my cock explodes,” Kayden muttered, shaking his head with amusement.

Skype made the distance bearable. It helped me deal with his absence, but it made me want to be with him even more.
