“Ouch, asshole! That hurt,” I yell at Charlie from my position on the floor.

“Well, if it’s in the air, I’m going to smack it,” Charlie responds as he makes his way out the door.

I continue rummaging under the bed looking for the shoe I threw off after coming home from work last night. This will teach me to put my stuff away, probably not, but one would hope.

“Hurry up, Sugar. The love train leaves in ten minutes with or without you.”

“You aren’t going any damn where without either of us, so shut the hell up,” Amber yells as she gets down on the floor to help me find my shoe.

“He’s been one demanding fucker since our sexcapade in the driveway the other day, he needs to be knocked down a few pegs.”

I shake my head, trying not to laugh. Amber has barley forgiven the two of us for that little stunt in the driveway. Me for starting it and him for good, fucking us both senseless in the driveway. I don’t see the issue with it, I was the one with my ass hanging out for the whole world to see.

“I don’t know why you’re so bent out of shape, just tell anyone who asks, it was me. They would believe it.”

She shakes her head in response before producing my shoe from under the bed.

“You’re the best,” I place a sloppy kiss on her cheek before heading into the closet to finish getting ready.

“Hurry your asses up! I want to get there before Logan, I’m sure Pops wants to hear all about the crazy stuff Logan has done.”

I shake my head. “Hey, what do you say about a little payback?”

Amber’s eyes immediately light up. “Oh, what do you have in mind?”

I throw my arm over her shoulder and whisper in her ear. “Now here is what we are going to do.”

“That’s genius!” I shout as Avery leads me out of the room.

“Shut your mouth! He’ll know something is up and it won’t work. It’s all about the element of surprise.”

We both make our way toward the door, Charlie is waiting impatiently for us.

“Took you two long enough, I was afraid you were having fun without me.”

“Don’t worry your pretty little head, there will be enough time to play at Katie’s parent’s house.”

“I can’t wait to bust Logan’s balls. He must be sweating bricks, meeting the parents and all,” Charlie says, holding the front door open.

“Good thing you don’t have to worry about that with either of us, the closest thing we have for parents is Jimmy.”

Avery opens the back door of the Jeep, ushering me in.

“What do you mean? Everyone has parents.”

I want to laugh at Charlies furrowed brow as he climbs into the front seat.

“Not us, well, we have them, we just don't associate with them. It’s been Avery, Katie and I since we were teenagers. So you may want to watch yourself around Katie’s dad.”

Charlie’s face immediately goes white.

“Yeah, Pops always had a soft spot for our girl. I am sure he won’t let you get away with anything while he is around,” Avery responds before placing a sloppy kiss on his cheek.

Watching the two of them together makes my heart sore, there was a time when I thought Avery would never let anyone else in but Katie and me. It has been the three of us against the world for so long.

“Okay, you two, let's get a move on, or we won’t be going anywhere,” I say as I get comfortable in the back seat, the drive isn’t long, but we have plans when we get there. I have to be rested up for all the debauchery we plan on having later.

“Your wish is my command, Sweets.” Charlie plugs the address into the GPS as Avery snuggles into my side.

“I think we are going to take a little nap, someone wore us out AGAIN last night,” Avery said, wrapping her arms around my waist.

“Neither one of you were complaining.”

“At least you won’t have to listen to either of us asking ‘are we there yet’ every ten minutes,” I said while closing my eyes.

“That is a bonus. Get some rest, I can promise you won’t be getting much once we get there.”

The sound of the car engine lulls me to sleep, he has no idea what trouble he is in for.
